  1. Wind was set to 0 for all altitudes, as i do always for these tests. With wind it makes no sense. Be sure to have properly trimmed plane it has some influence particularly for planes with trimmable stabilizer.
  2. Only brief video. Usualy spend more time on "measured" speed, just to be sure. When i perform this test at another altitudes i throttle back to max. continuous power climb and do the same like i did in video, level plane, set power and wait...:) I always use data from "Info bar".
  3. The bombs operating is perhaps correct now. Older the P47s had 6 T-shape handles here D-30/40 three ARM handles remainded. D-40 from Dayton museum Unfortunately manual for D models does not describe bombs operation clearly, but this is written in manual for N models. "You arm the bombs with the three handles on the floor to your left"
  4. We already have it.
  5. pos. No.50 Tank for GM1 or fuel, often named MW tank (incorrectly!) EDIT: btw. page 52 is where decription starts
  6. You must arm them, left mouse click on circled "levers" (pull and turn them).
  7. The Spitfire has adjustable rudder trim from cockpit and the 109 has rudder trim adjustable in setting (as some players wanted), default setting is 0°. That is why the Spitfire and the 109 are "different". The Dora (and the Anton too) has this "offset" from day one as far as i know.
  8. I think that nothing has changed. 1,42ATA, 100% - 2700 RPM with ext. rack coolant flaps fully open - 518 kph (one previous DCS build 517 kph, my old test) coolant flaps fully close - 532 kph (532 kph, from the same like above) the same eng. setting without ext. rack coolant flaps fully open - 532 kph coolant flaps fully close - 547 kph (did not find any older data, lost them...) It seems that fully open coolant flaps have the same drag like external rack, but this is not new.
  9. Yes, it seems that the P-47 underwent modest upgrade. With the engine setting 56inHg/2700RPM is now approximately 25kph slower than before the last patch, at low altitude. And 60+inHg coused some shaking and speed does not increase (because of no water), hope it will kill the engine too.
  10. First rebuild G-6/U2 reached frontline units in July 44, these were G-6 originally equipped with GM1 and were upgraded to G-6 with MW50. First G-14, planes with factory MW 50 installed, were delivered in July 44 too, production started in June 44. Think that G-6/AS with MW50 were employed sooner than models mentioned above is quite daring. Without MW, yes it was in April 44.
  11. If you want WWII trains, you must set proper date in the Mission Editor. Default year is 2016 in the ME i think and it is reason for modern trains. So, when you set e.g. 1944 you get WWII trains.
  12. This issue is in both, Beta and Stable. It started with 2.5.6., if data from April are OK.
  13. Unfortunately the Dora is slower than she was. That may by behind questions about her capability recently. If you fly at continuous power (1600Hp/3000R.P.M) you reach certain speed, then if you increase power to Take-off, combat and climb power (1770Hp/3250R.P.M.) you should fly faster, and you did here in DCS in past. But now here in DCS, you do not, actually you will fly slower, only 3 kph, but no faster. (if i remeber correctly, the gap was 15-20kph) And the last note, the Dora was capable fly around 600kph with Emergency power, now she does not. I am able to get from her only slightly above 580kph in exactly the same conditions when i was able to fly with her 600kph...
  14. Did you switch ON the Fuel Booster Pump or switch ON Fuel Pressuring Cock? It looks like you lost fuel pressure and due to it the engine stopped.
  15. If you mean device circled on picture, then you mean Cockpit Light.
  16. The switch at the prop switch box controls directly the propeller motor which moves with blades, to set propeller pitch (and controls RPM when the engine is running). But the propeller lever on the throttle quadrant controls the propeller governor (not directly the propeller motor) and the propeller governor controls the propeller motor according to lever position and the engine torque (manifold pressure - the engine power). When the engine is not running, there is no torque (power from engine), the propeller governor thries to set as low propeller pitch as possible, does no matter where the propeller lever is.
  17. It is simple, you was without electricity. You did the engine start somehow, but you did not switch "On" generator and switched battery "Off"! Look at instruments it is quite obvious... You have soo hight RPM because your propeller pitch is low, i guess 18° as it is during the engine start. And because you were without electricity, your RPM regulator did not work. To set propeller blades to proper angle (propeller pitch - RPM control) you need electricity. Thats all.
  18. Water injection cools down mixture (and indirectly the engine), it is reason why power is at the same manifold pressure different.
  19. Some interesting information about WWII Marianas airfields. http://www.airfields-freeman.com/HI/Airfields_W_Pacific.htm
  20. Water injection system.
  21. 52inHg 2700 RPM - 2000HP 56inHg 2700 RPM - 2300HP with water (early) 64inHg 2700 RPM - 2600HP with water, required A-13 or A-23 regulator (should be in DCS) all with 100/130 octane fuel
  22. One source claims that the P-47D-30 had speed 345M.P.H. with WEP. Another reports, not the D-30, show similar speed with minor difference. WEP is 64inHg with watter injection, not simulated at this moment in DCS. 345MPH is 555 km/h, but DCS P-47 (without water) can reach TAS 593 km/h (590 IAS), it seems to be too fast. just as a reference, the P-51 in the same conditions, should be around 579 km/h and i reach 570, with the P-51 i am close and satisfied. Map setting was 15°C 760mmHg Normandy no wind
  23. Accordind to radio call (S/N) it is D-40-RA 45-49192.
  24. Yes, there were two ways, but. The second way was for early models and they had control switches palced on the Main Switch Panel and not next to indicators. The game model does not seem to be right.
  25. As is written in title. this is from game and these are from manuals
