  1. If you had A-10C prior to DCS world launch on steam, you have been automatically given the DLC version of the module. So all you have to do is install DCS World on Steam: http://store.steampowered.com/app/223750/
  2. Everybody complains that everyone is developing useless trainers, which, ok, I partly agree. There's FSX that you can buy for a fiver on sale and shove some fairly good freeware trainers in and fly all over Starship Earth with them. Now these dudes are (possibly) doing an actual fighter for once, one that they (possibly) have access to and is (possibly) highly unclassified. Everybody complains again.
  3. How many skyflash missiles can it carry? Two or four? I've only seen pictures with two.
  4. If I understood correctly, they will release a theater with it, so chill bros.
  5. Oh snap, I'll probably miss the update, but for three good reasons: Motörhead, Ozzy Osbourne and Judas Priest. \m/
  6. One of these nights I actually dreamt that one of the other planes was the Su-33. There's something so wrong with me.
  7. Windows 10 will be a free upgrade for both Windows 7 and 8 users, so just wait until it's released.
  8. OR (and I hope someone from ED reads this), given that ED already has a great model of the C-130, they could go the extra mile and make it a KC-130... Lots of air forces use the Hercules as a refueler.
  9. I was actually talking about modern combat aircraft simulators.
  10. Hopefully, as I very much enjoy it. DCS is pretty much all that's left though. Not that there were many at any point in time...
  11. But free theatre? That's cool, I like my birds to have full, meaningful campaigns. Give people a reason to fight.
  12. Now we're left wondering what uses a ground radar. Surely not a Tomcat.
  13. Nah, we can always keep an old PC around when that time comes. This genre is dying, gentlemen.
  14. Exactly. Plus they will unify executables (front end and simulation), which will allow better mission editor and enciclopedia. Now where's that update?
  15. My bets are on not wasting resources on developing DCS 1 any further. Of course, this will only happen when Edge leaves beta stage.
  16. Are you aware that if they followed your model, they would never release anything at all? There is no such thing as perfect, bug free software, period. Too many variables. And of course new bugs will be introduced when the environment (DCS World) changes. Going back to the single-aircraft-whole-new-game model makes no sense now that we have third parties going into the mix. In fact, it would not make any sense at all because they would need separate teams to support different games. Your thouhgts feel very selfish to me, because the whole suffers. The current model works, and it will work even better with the new engine, which was conceived from the begginning with this level of modularity in mind. Wait and see.
  17. The hype is barely containable.
  18. I want the Mig.
  19. I want a mig.
  20. Consider starting with the free Su-25T. Search for tutorials on youtube, there are plenty, and see how you like it. If you're a hardcore simmer, you'll want more (clickable cockpits). In that case, I cannot recommend the A-10C enough, it's currently the most complete simulation of a modern military jet. The MiG-21 is also a great choice. If you like WWII stuff, then try out the TF-51 included for free in DCS World. It is unarmed, but will give you a taste of aircraft from that era and also of full fidelity DCS modules. These WWII aircraft are not so misplaced anymore, given that a large project involving a map and various aircraft and units is planned to support second world war scenarios. About FC3, if you buy it, you'll have the exact same modules as Su-25 for DCS World, A-10A for DCS World, F-15C for DCS World, Su-27 for DCS World, and a few extras, such as Su-33 (6DOF cockpit but no professional flight model), and some MiG-29s that come straight from flaming cliffs 2. If you prefer to buy separate, I recommend Su-27 as it comes with a full set of interactive training missions. Hope this was of help, good flights!
  21. Hotfix1 for version 170 fixes the losing track bug ;)
  22. I want a Hawk
  23. In 1.70 you don't need the headtracker.dll anymore. Just select FreeTrack 2.0 under game protocol, go to settings, check start dummy TrackIR.exe, and under Select Interface, choose use TrackIR, hide FreeTrack. Be sure to adjust the curves ingame. Also, anyone losing track after the first mission? I always have to restart the game for it to work again.
  24. So there's this fingerpaint app on my touchscreen laptop I've never used. Figured I'd give it a go... There. With my own fingertip. Obviously I'm not an artist like my mother. Oh well. Hope I get the hawk, will be a fun addition to DCS.
