This mini mod you can use with Starway and with Barthek terrain textures. Simply replace the Buildings_textures.zip file as I explained in the first post (located eg. C:\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Mods\terrains\CaucasusBase\vfstextures). @Mili I've changed about 54 texture files In block_texture.bmp.dds I'm modified only a single roof, which I was able to distinguish. Based on this, I realized that DCS engine crossings from individual textures to the block_texture.bmp.dds when you move away from an object, or increase the altitude. Therefore, at a long distance or altitude, it remains only one colored roof. :) It would be far easier to do that, if we have a scheme which would tell us which texture corresponding to the file name, and what are the walls and what are the roofs. Thus it is very difficult to guess. So I changed only what was obvious in that file (block_texture.bmp.dds). @ Maverick263 I explained in the first post. Due to limitations in file size on the "User Files" I had to set it up on another server. Only 100 Mb is allowed.

This mode changes the default buildings textures with colored roofs and some buildings. Someone like this mod and some not. So please download it from here if you like. Due to limitations in file size on the "User Files" I had to set it up on another server. Installation: replace file Buildings_textures.zip located here -> your HDD drive eg. C:\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Mods\terrains\CaucasusBase\vfstextures , or the corresponding JSGME folder. An alternative link And few screen-shoots

Old Nvidia driver gives much better FPS. (twice)

It's possible that (driver) difference observes due to older GPU. -

Hmm interesting. And which driver exactly are you using? I have two in the archives: 347.09-desktop-win8-win7-winvista-64bit-international-whql and 347.88-desktop-win8-win7-winvista-64bit-international-whql there are probably more. Which one is better? -
I'm all mixed up. :smartass:

Could you send me a Photoshop template for the Gazelle cockpit? I would like to translate it to my native language.

Caucasus Map Texture DLC by Starway
kobac replied to Starway's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
I will certainly support any option which is decided by Starway. The important thing is to correct the visibility of vehicles through the Shkval and TGP, and it would be good if he add more (red, blue) color to the rooftops of the village, I think both - houses and factories. (See pic. in attachment) In addition, I think and others who make this visual improvement deserve to be rewarded for their hard work and time. Perhaps ED could consider adding a donation button in the Downloads/user files. -
Just beware! This time we would have the S-300, and much more technically correct planes. :music_whistling:

Caucasus Map Texture DLC by Starway
kobac replied to Starway's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
Then it should assign a donate button, to such dedicated moder as Starway and Barthek, to their terrain mods. :smartass: -
I agree and fully support. In addition, this theater would be interesting for WWII planes. Above the YU sky flew most planes that are now DCS modules.

Uff, how come to get an answer from you  really? :megalol: However long time I didn't go to the site to check status or to buy something, so it is very possible that I overlooked it.

I knew, I had a few dozen dollars bonus, just didn't know that bonus expires after some time. Now I see I'm lost 34$. :( Perhaps it would be good to have some kind of pop-up warning on the website - we will soon bonus expire, which will appear one month before. And it's not clear to me why should that bonus expire? I understand it as some kind of savings, and a discount for the next purchase.

So, is it possible to do a stable pick-up into hover?
kobac replied to Bearfoot's topic in SA-342M Gazelle
Okay I'll repeat post that I wrote in another topic, but it is more appropriate here: In RL pilot can see all these small movements which make the helicopter due to a variety of moments that affect it during takeoff. So all these things are counteract with flight controls. Because of this Gazelle takes off quite nice vertically without moving forward or tilting the tail. By vertical landing she tends to land first with the right ski down (more precisely the rear end of the right skis) and then lands on the entire right ski. After that lands on the left ski. No matter what the surface she never slip after landing, except of course on ice. :) Of course she can skate on grass or snow, even on concrete, if the pilot wants, or when beginners do not yet perceive how to fly her. Excuse me for my English if I wasn't clear enough. P.S. Just to add that you generally have joysticks that are short, and therefore rather imprecise no matter how you adjust the curve. Perhaps things would have improved with some extensions -

I can understand this effect is added to improve the feeling of the players, but she is a calm like a candle. ;) Although I don't know about which autopilot is implemented in the PCS Gazelle, autopilot AP-85G serves as a source of information gyroscope verticale GV 76-1 placed in the repository, and gyro-magnetic compass CG-121. Doppler radar is to measure the altitude.

Gazelle in hover (RL) doesn't swing left/right, with or without an autopilot, as seen in the videos. :joystick:

The clutch is centrifugal and there is a autorotation bearing (similar to old bicycles) which separates engine from the transmission in the event of failure of the engine.

You should add attached file as a rar or zip. (Manage attachments) :smartass:

Skull You don't read carefully :music_whistling: Note: Today’s release is only compatible with DCS World 2.0.2. Support for version 1.5.3 will be coming soon.
