THis Looks Interesting - Finch VR - VR hand controllers
kobac replied to KatBreath's topic in Virtual Reality
I prefer the idea with gloves on tiptoes have small vibrators which would provide a sense of touch. :smartass: But this is great idea for the beginning. -
Hegykc is back on the forum! I hope he will soon answer us, what about this and his other projects, like this. :joystick:
-
I suppose this happens due to the high-resolution buildings texture.
-
Looks like you zoom too much decreased. Center TIR, and check maybe some of the controls on the HOTAS for zoom active.

ED SIMS SCREENSHOT AND VIDEO THREAD!!!! (NO USER MODS OR COMMENT)

Hmm aren't you guys confused with new Ansel feature?

VR problems plaguing Nvidia's GeForce GTX 1080, GTX 1070 will be fixed this week

Can you tell me which specific folders/files listens new Integrity check system? I need to know which modes (that I use), must be to turn off, before going out on multiplayer.
-
I hope this will be the last 1.5.XX.XXX version and will soon be merged into version 2.5, because it is such a human resources spending on two versions. :(
-
How do you mean SkateZilla, remove all the modules? Do you thought deactivate modules using protect.exe? I have only a few left (2 maybe 3) activation and deactivation, for some modules. :(
-
Hey, hello RICARDO! I'm sorry that you're still no one answered, but I hope it will be soon. Perhaps that is because we are waiting on merging different versions to a single 2.5, so I personally have not yet installed Nevada, and I don't know what the files structure.
-
The longer we waits, than many people is losing interest in this matter. This would hegykc should keep in mind. We expect that he give any comments. :noexpression:

Since I know LockOn and now for DCS it has always been fight for more FPS, less stuttering and freezing. I change hardware only due to DCS. I'm not sure the situation will improve in the future with this engine.

Yes dimitriov I have used your building textures, and all the credits for creating these textures, of course belong to you, I even tried to assign reputation points for your work, but there is something wrong with the forum and it didn't work. Also, in a couple of posts I tried to draw attention to moders it would be nice if we had colored roofs, but nobody wanted to do it, so I did it myself. Since I liked the result I decided to share it with everyone. I hope I'm not wrong. If someone like this idea let's still growing, if not - let it remain like this. And finally I have already mentioned a couple of times, solution for distant LOD roofs is in block_texture.bmp.dds file. But for editing that file I don't have will, because there are a lot small textures which I don't recognize, I do not distinguish which belonging to.
-
I'm glad you made it. This is really good news, If Sarway colored his roofs. He will do more subtle and probably much better than I, because he true artist. :)

ron533 I am not sure you succeed, what you just imagined. Starway textures are high, and some even 8K resolution. And because of that - only the strongest today's hardware will be able to deal with such a large textures without losing FPS. Building textures for walls, roofs, fences etc. simply not are separated as a special texture. Single building is one texture. So I'm not sure how it will look that yours mix. In any case, up to you to try and see. Therefore, here's your link to these, only edited textures. if you have not done so far as told you GregP. Good luck!

I'm retired now, so I have a lot of free time so I can dedicate myself to DCS simulator. And of course it is much cheaper :music_whistling: I have more than 1.500 flight hours on Gazelle, but for me it is more difficult to fly in DCS simulator than in real life, this is primarily because the DCS rely solely on vision and little in the hearing as human sensors to fly, while the RL we have a whole body. The main disadvantage of flying in a simulation like this is diversity between the pilot stick&throttle and imprecision joysticks that we use. I never flown professional/expensive hardware simulators :( My advice to you is learn better read instrument display and arrangement of attention (how it says in my country) a thought to switch views from the instruments on the view outside the cockpit and situational awareness. Learn to remember the place where you fly (from where you t/o) and traffic pattern speed, altitude, places beginning and end turns, change of regime - climbing, descent, etc.. so that you can land on any terrain. Using the MP you can overcome a lot of aeronautical phraseology. This shall not try at all! Without instructor I think not a single aviation authorities will not allow that. I think that 3D VR glasses the path in a good direction.

Thanks Kuky your advice on edit these lua files will definitely benefit for those who have a stronger PC's, and regarding for far LOD, I guess it's just about a couple of times already-mentioned block_texture.bmp.dds file.
-
I really don't know how to increase the draw distance. I think we should edit the file block_texture.bmp.dds, as previously stated, and it should have a chart that represents the texture by building, and it has only ED developers working on terrain textures, I guess. Maybe someone else will want to proceed or even improve this mod. From me so much for that. Enjoy!

Leva I didn't understand your post #27 entirely. I know I've said that too, in one of my previous posts. I don't intend to modify the block_texture.bmp.dds file, it is much tricky job. If anyone has the patience to deal with it go ahead. Problem flicker disappeared after saving textures with MIP maps. I set the new links in first post. ianick: Of course it's free, many of you are scared with other DLC terrains. :megalol:
-
Yeah well, I have used Nvidia dds plugin, but for me it was checked options without MIP maps. I'll re-save textures with MIP maps, so we'll see if we have solved the flicker problem. TY
-
What is MIPS? Which software is used for Windows?

I would like to thank everyone who sent me kind words and words of support. Thank you! In particular, this means to me from Ironhand - the legend, with his tutorials I began to fly from the time LockOn. For those people who cann't take file, here's another link.

:) In fact, my intention was to a little beautify the DCSW to low flying and helicopters virtual pilots. To those who fly high, anyway barely distinguish individual buildings, and to them is not so important. :smilewink:
