Looking for newbie players to match in dogfighting
Whiplash replied to lesnyborsuk's topic in DCS: Fw 190 D-9 Dora
Hey freddie, is that mission something you would consider entering for our Mission Monday? I'm at work so I can't look at it but it sounds like it could be a good one. Here is the link if you want to check it out: http://webfortress.com/dogsofwar/forum/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=307&p=1779&sid=d0aff4a6a32678683dc99911de59107f#p1779 -
Well played! Thanks for sharing. That was a great flight, even your landing was solid!

Thanks guys, since it was pointed out to me, I'll be updating the livery to remove the gun smoke stains on the wing pretty soon.

Nothing too special here but I wanted to try and make a mustang that look somewhat like it just rolled out of the assembly line. Thanks to ivo for the great suggestion. You can download it here: http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/1210718/

I guess I'm not really clear on what your goal is here, are you trying to extend your stick or just repair it? -
Thank you Madmax for the comments. Some of the mission we are running are pretty old and come from a time when we were less concerned about our choice of liveries. However, d0o0m has been hard at work updating these missions while he continues to design new ones. In his latest creations I know he has given extensive effort to include proper bort numbers and liveries. In addition, we maintain a DoW Server Official Livery Pack. I just finished making our second update to the pack which you can download from the links below: DoW Server - Official Livery Pack 1 DoW Server - Official Livery Pack 2 (Please do not modify or use these files as templates. We chose to release these liveries to the public so they could be enjoyed on our server and not for personal projects.) I would also like to take this time to show off our first Bonds4Bombs (B4B) Winner Livery (Included in our DoW Livery Pack 2). For those that don't know about our B4B Program you can catch up on our thread by clicking on the link below: DoW Bonds4Bombs Program Our November winner was Saetta! It was a real pleasure working with Saetta on his Livery of choice. He decided to name her Miss Filo after his wife, and I think you will all agree after looking at his plane below that he has great taste!

If you can make it by 10 PM you might be able to catch a flight or two with us. Otherwise we are usually on later than 11 PM on the weekends. Hope to see you around soon!

All my pilot textures in that zip file end in fp1, fp2, etc. I would change them to match the file names I posted and see if that fixes it. Make a backup just in case. That is really odd that the file names would ave changed though... Let me know what you discover. edit: you can check your file names against the ones I have listed in my directory.

Have you tried running a repair? Navigate to DCS World\Mods\aircraft\P-51D\Cockpit\Resources\Model\Textures and check that you have these two files: pilot_p51_fp1.dds and pilot_p51_fp2.dds If you don't and you run DCS repair and they are still not there I can upload them for you.

I believe the issue with the corrupt download is your version of winrar. To keep the file below the 10 0mb requirement set by ED I had to use rar5 compression which can only be opened by the latest version of Winrar. I know this fixed the corruption issue for others.

Your team! J/K but in all fairness to the OP I would suggest restructuring your inquiry. You are coming off more as someone with a specific complaint rather than a motivated individual who wants to join a group.

The server has been updated to 1.2.12. Currently Loose Lips and Frog of War have 109's available. More missions will be updated in the near future. Also we plan on bringing back some oldies like Battle in the Bay and Killer Bees. Edit: Also for now all 109's are set to hot start to avoid any issue with the reported fuel pressure bug.

I opted for Farcry4. Downloaded it but have yet to play it. the 970 is awesome though!

And with that great news I would like to add that we have announced our first winner of the Bombs4Bonds program. To learn more about our B4B program and to see who the winner is check out this LINK!

Sorry for the inconvenience anyone is experiencing with the server and teamspeak channel. We are working on a solution.

I would strongly recommend that you add a switch for it unless you want to unplug it when you are done. I posted about this before but one time after I was done using the stick it fell over onto my keyboard tray. The tray broke the sensor so the stick was trying to center itself but since it was extended the motors were not strong enough to center it so they were consently under load. The short end it is I went to bed and woke up to the smell of electrical components burning. What's odd is I after it cooled down everything worked fine. I had to hone out one of the plastic gears that melted a little. It was kind of a freak thing that happen to me but if you remove that switch make sure you at least unplug the power supply when you're done using the stick. -

Very impressive! You put that all together really quickly. Be sure to update us on how it's holding together. -
Good video, I like your flying style. It is just as effective, if not more to take some one out of the fight as it is to shoot them down. Not only can you start attacking his wingman but now he has to fly all the way back to base before he can comeback and attack you again. Thanks for sharing!

As the creator of Peeping Tom I want to respectfully ask that you not use that livery as a template. We made the decision to release those liveries so they could be enjoyed on our server. We did not intend for them to be used as templates for the public. If you are interested, I uploaded a bare metal template to the user files here. Feel free to use that as a base to create your own livery design (it has a better metal effect then Peeping Tom anyways). If you wish to discuss this further please visit us on our forums. Edit: As a side note I do think those liveries are pretty funny and you should definitely finalize them and upload them with your own design.
