I believe that the problems with the mig-21 have come as a surprise in some respects. With an announcement only being delayed this long, I can only speculate that the release will also have to be pushed as the tech behind the already released module keeps changing at a pace too fast for LN to keep up with. I know that we are all disappointed, but as Cobra said, we know why we are here. The quality that LN can deliver is proven in the mig-21. The fact that it doesn't work in the alpha and beta stages does not concern me, as the released version works fine and is my favorite module to fly. I'm not sure that we have the clues needed to guess further on what the next two aircraft are. I was holding off on spending my entertainment budget on the other teams mirage, even though it looks good just because I was hoping for a LN release (or announcement of a soon to be released aircraft). I think at this point I will pick that one up for a hopeful christmas present for myself and build up more funds for the LN stuff later. I hope that the speculations of navy aircraft hold up. I'm sure we'll all be pleased in any case. Good luck LN I hope you do great things ::thumbup:

New Installer painfully slow
jeffdude replied to Frogfoot1606687865's topic in Installation Problems
1.5 was pretty good, this download rate (HTTP, torrent wasn't moving at all) is awful. Something must be up for it to be this bad or the server / CDN is having issues/high traffic. -
Thanks to all the thread posters for the great "Turkey" material! This was an awsome read, and it has the bonus of the Dackard post on a cool feature! I didn't even know about that practice of removing the cover. The history on this bird is so interesting.

Thanks for the additional feature!

Ok, so just for information: My FPS with other modules (mig 15, warthog) my FPS is at 70 consistently. With Mig 21 pos 1.5.1 my frames are in the 40's and I am getting the CPU spike you spoke of.

does this work in 1.5? :detective:
-
I know this isn't the right place, but I want to see if others have this problem, I show I have a bonus, but when I go to check out it lists the bonus as an item, but doesn't actually subtract it.

yes, in normal CCTV mode it all works fine ,but in infrared (either) the video is flickering and makes targets off.

Complete Transport and Logistics Deployment - CTLD
jeffdude replied to Ciribob's topic in Scripting Tips, Tricks & Issues
Good luck Thanks for the hard work. we hope you get it working, but the scripting bugs in 1.5 may be to many to allow this to function. In any case thanks again, CTLD has been amazing. -
Try Right-ALT and A possibly control,

Works. Best fps with 2.0 test paint livery. New sight mechanics work beautifully. Grom missiles are sinking synced ships now. Lol say that 3 times fast!

Wow that model looks great. I can't wait to get in the mig in 1.5

Did we ever figure out which plane belonged to this? It was posted much earlier this year. Perhaps this is related to the expected announcement? :robot:

So evil! We all are very excited to hear what you have to present. I hope the news comes out soon.

Leatherneck Simulations Mini-Update - SEPTEMBER 2015
jeffdude replied to Cobra847's topic in Heatblur Simulations
I agree! I didn't know much about the A6 before this post, but after seeing the capabilities, this would be a great aircraft! it's lika a two pilot warthog that launches from the carrier. It's everything I love about combat aviation rolled into one slick package! -
Pre-Purchase NEVADA Test and Training Range
jeffdude replied to KEULE's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
HEY! I live here in Fallon, NV! It's exciting to see the aircraft flying around everyday. It used to be pretty bad around here, but it's pretty nice now. The area is desolate, but the mountains and valleys used for our Navy bombing ranges provide for some great training areas! -
Thank You. This is a wonderful level of detail. I really like all of the changes presented here. I can't wait to try it all!

Wow this is all great news! I can't wait until these changes are in the client. Thanks for giving this bird some love.

 Early tests show promise with some S77th missions. I'll continue testing today and see if we can't get a server full testing it. -

Wow! I can't believe how fast you investigated the issue. I'll start using it in the missions right away and get back to you. -
Complete Transport and Logistics Deployment - CTLD
jeffdude replied to Ciribob's topic in Scripting Tips, Tricks & Issues
As usual, the latest patch broke things. Ever since the patch we are seeing crashes with the following errors: 01673.183 INFO NET: Lua: Client [13] "S77th-RandomMember" joined Red in "UH-1H"(2437) 01674.610 INFO NET: Lua: Client [13] "S77th-RandomMember" joined Red in "UH-1H"(2438) 01674.610 INFO SCRIPTING: CTLD null event 01676.115 INFO DCS: try to write dump information 01676.251 INFO EDCORE: Minidump created. 01676.251 INFO DCS: try to write track file The crashes seem to happen when a player rapidly switches between units. This may or may not be the cause but CTLD null event seems to precede every crash on maps with the script. We are using the latest CTLD and Mist LUA files. Any guidance on this would be appreciated. Prior to the patch we had a great time with multiplayer missions that used sling-load mechanics to defend bases and even deploy JTAC units. -
