Cant wait for the future release of the AH64
Focha replied to BlackFallout's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
An AH-1W would be great. Personally I would like more to fly a W than a Z version. AH-64A will be great too if ED decide that it's the next module after the A-10C. I really would like to see the FM for a non coaxial rotor helicopter. AH-64A will be a great challenge in multiple ways. Let's just hope ED is up to the task. :smartass: -
Cant wait for the future release of the AH64
Focha replied to BlackFallout's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
I'm sure they will. Or else they will disappoint some people or even make some stomach problems of depress-maniac disorders and anxiety. LOL :D Now seriously it as to be the following module... Really! :noexpression: I'm not kidding. -
Some photos from a fellow heli simmer that shows some terrain photos, Terrain photos. Regards.

Can your PC run BS with no related issues?

Yep I can't get it to work, it's a beta so I'll wait for a final. No problem on that one. Although I saw that the new software it's great. Far more user friendly but I am use to the old one too. Anyone had any problem like me? Regards.

I downloaded and installed the software but it always crash at the beginning. :(

Thank you Alpha for the great information and knowledge. Best regards to you.

Alpha does that mean (in simulation) that if you turn off the two engine governors you will not have that engine protection when your ask for more engine power? Eventually the lights will go yellow but there is no way of controlling the EGT, leading to a engine failure, right? I guess, for example, in Bell 206 the governor will control the engine RPM by controlling the fuel that goes to the engine but what I understand from your post is that on Ka-50 the governor only controls the excess of power and not the need of it, don't know if you understand my question very clearly, but in Ka-50 it seems it only controls the limit and not the addiction. Best regards and thank you for the tech info.

Damn... I want A-10C, A-10A, AH-64A, Hind, AH-1F, BO-105, Lynx, and so on (believe me on that!)! It may well be the closest I'll ever be to one of those... Not even see one in reality. Who knows, right? With time, organization and mood I think ED guys can do it all. Regards.

Watch this video, it's like GGTharos say, rockets by itself are not the most accurate weapon in the world add to that the unstable flight of a helicopter and you get the idea. Rockets are good when you don't have AAA, SAMs or something that can fire to your helo, if that is the case then you just pick up the target get some speed align with it and fire away some rockets in an average altitude. Works great for light armour and personal. Sometimes is good when you see AAA fire and it's cover by trees, you just fire some rockets burst at the trees and AAA goes boom! That works great when you don't have enough time to lock on the target on TV or you want to make some blind fire. Best regards.

Black Shark at dusk (warning: 32 edited pics!)
Focha replied to Jigsaw's topic in Screenshots and Videos
Some of those pictures looks like the real helicopter. I bet there is no photos of this quality regarding the real one! :megalol: By the way what program did you edit those on and did you follow any tutorial? If not you should make a tutorial for the program in question. Best regards and give us more. -
I don't no this for sure because I'm not in front of DCS right now but I think that with the marker tool it give us an altitude. But I could be wrong, have to check that out. Best regards.

First I don't know the reasons of this mag. reviews topics. Second who cares about one non specialist review? Thats why I stop buying game mags. In respect to simulation they always mess up unless the person who makes the review is within and a knowledge one in the sim world. Other way buying those is a perfect loss of money regarding simulations reviews. The only magazine that worth buying is PC Pilot at the moment. Other than that, that I am aware of, are just regular games mag than are sim wannabe reviewers. They just compare a game with a sim and that is just incorrect. So stop posting this review topics like they were really important. Best regards.

POLL: Would you rather see A-10 or AH-64a as next module?
Focha replied to Sharkster64's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
I voted for AH-64A, I always thought that this would be the first one to get release but again the A-10C is more logical. AH-64A is really cool rather than D in my opinion, it's like a more raw flying if you know what I mean. Again what I really wish to see is a Cobra at some time. Maybe a AH-1F. Would be really cool! Other than that I think we all can wait for the release because; a) We have Ka-50. b) We will have A-10. c) Then we get AH-64. d) Please! More helicopters! LOL Regards. -
Every addiction is a great addiction. Tornado would be great to have. Regards.

So what is more or less the status of A-10C module? Meaning the status of model, textures, code, FM, cockpit, weapons, etc. Obviously if you can provide that info. I am a bit confused about the status of this one. Maybe it is even not start because you guys are working on the BS update right? Regards.

Will there be a producer's note series for the A10?
Focha replied to sobek's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
Usually when I fly A-10 on FC I never say we are sitting ducks when a Mig or Su is inbound. We are 3 to 4 A-10 and we get some AA kills all the time. So I have to agree... It depends on the pilot, how you fly the machine, and you use friends and terrain... And even how you use your ground forces. Best regards. -

Also and to complement others knowledge, as you probably know cooling or heating a material too fast will fatigue much more the materials and that is something you don't want at least if you are not the richest person in the world.

Mmm... I know it's not this simple but... And for the sake of fun... If I can kill Sus and Migs with A10 in LOMAC then I surely can kill A10s with Ka-50, just a matter of patience, not risk being spooted, flying low, be smart and intelligent and you get your kill. Obvioully it would be much harder to kill an A10 from a Ka-50 than the inverse but still it's possible. Now... If you have an A10 pilot that is really good and it's really in a mood of killing Ka-50... Then we will all be FUBAR! :pilotfly:Still it will be really fun! And if you get an A10 it will be personal rewarding! :joystick:

airea, some people think that too about air sims too. Usually when I used to fly FS98 my friends always said:"I don't get it... Why are you doing that instead of doing "this"!?". And so of them consider it boring, maybe they were right but I still love to do it. Nice truck sim by the way. Regards.
-
This sim will be absolutely fun! Can't wait. It seems there is really good simulators in the future ahead. Regards.
