Probably the wind is calculated at ~-1.98C/1000 feet. If you had +18C at MSL you would get ~+6C at 6000 feet MSL (using -2C/1000'). That is the ISA numbers. Regards.

Next DCS (US) Fixed Wing Aircraft Wish List
Focha replied to diecastbg's topic in DCS Core Wish List
Start to get boring my this polls... Doesn't have what I want to vote for, at least 3 of those will not be made by ED so what is the point of having this poll? I think it's not even useful for ED guys. Just my opinion. If I could I would vote for AH-64A. If I could only vote for a jet, it would have to be a multi-role fighter, if it had two seats would be great. I probably would vote for AV-8B. Since none of those are there, I didn't vote. Regards. -
Hope this helps. Regards.

You guys are talking of De-Ice not Anti-Ice. Strange not having anti-ice... I wonder how much ice A10s got in their wings in the ferries over Atlantic...?

Smoke particles respond to environmental changes like wind for example. Wind direction and strength alters smoke particles.

Most probable.

I've got the same issue, posted here; http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=998749#post998749 Regards.

Maybe if you specify more it's easier for ED. Like runway, conditions, etc, etc.

I think that was what F15E crews did/do. They release the LGB and when at a determined distance they would paint the target. Don't know the numbers but it was like you are doing. Regards.
-
Did you save the option on the DSMS? I say this because sometimes I forget to save the option. Regards.

Not mentioning the ones above and the obvious details like avionics stuff. Errors of acceleration and turn in the magnetic compass. Reflection of sky and ground on metallic parts of HUD, MC, AoA and panel dash. Rotation of the GAU is great. Illumination in general. Another one is the lighting pod rotation. There are a lot of little details. Regards.

I am not saying that I want a FSX like ATC, I am asking if the ATC will be more complete since would help finding the way to the runway. I feel the actual ATC clearances a little rubbish in some aspects. I don't understand your priorities but again it's not a priority that I am asking rather I am asking for an update to the actual ATC commands already available. Also, I don't know since when Georgia conform to ICAO but according to the list of 20 of June of 2002 Georgia is listed in the contracting states of ICAO, so I think Georgia conforms with standards and recommend practices. Also you can see Georgia's AIP a few pages above this reply. Best regards. EDIT: Also read the reply of BlueRidgeDx in page 7. ;)

It was a simple example just to explain what I was asking it was not meant to be real world procedures on a full airport. It was not that the purpose of the example. But thanks for the correction anyway. Regards.

It's a good critic but you should provide the information (or link to it), you can find the rules in ICAO Annex 14; http://www.scribd.com/Annex-14-ICAO/d/5509407 Regards.

About the flowers I am sure they'll get fixed. It's WIP. I have a question. Two of the screens shows a runway sign; "C 30-12" and "F 27-09". My question is will the ATC tell you, depending on your parking spot, indications that lead you to the runway like in real life, meaning; "N333XX, ready for taxi." "N33XX, taxi to RWN 27 via taxiway A then C1 and holdshort of RWN." Thanks. Regards.

I hope that they (ED) do some kind of rain effect. It's pretty numb to have wipers in the kamov and when you are in rain you don't need it because there is actually no rain. Never saw a good representation of rain in videogames/simulations. Hope they do something, I think it was intended to integrate some rain effects on the black shark windshields. Best regards.

Some question I have; In FC we had the option to have our custom weapons loadout and also we could choose the livery we wanted and also the amount of fuel. In BS we have the option to talk with the maintenance guys and choose from a series of weapons loadout preset arranged by mission (CAS, Ferry, Deep strike, etc), in FC2 we have the same thing but not arranged like BS, instead we have the weapons loadout in just a menu. My first question is, what was done or will be done in this area so online experience (and also offline) can me improved if that is possible (and I think it's always possible)? The second question is, will there be some kind of planner integrated online? I think now is only available on single player missions. Thank, best regards.

It depends on the HDR effect. Personally from what I have seen in other products I hate it and tend to turn it off. I can give you an example of a game that for me it was almost unplayable due to HDR effects, BFBC 2. I am still waiting for a title that makes me want HDR on, I hope it will be DCS. Best regards.

How can I turn that on so I can try it?

"Shackiness" of the cockpit/panel or "shackiness" of the view/head FMI?
-
About the effects of the wings, I would say yes if they appear in the right weather conditions. It should not be that hard to code (also, if done, it should have an option to turn off, like grass). About the wings flexing, I think it would add great eye candy to the sim, if accompanied by cockpit shack when releasing weapons could even be greater. Don't know how the models are made for DCS, but it must be some kind of parent/children association and in that case shouldn't be hard to animate, the hard part I guess, is to shack them in the right condition. Real aircraft cockpits are not static flying, I remember some of my flights thinking that the panel would leave the cockpit (helicopter) and put my hand to stabilize it so I could read the instruments. It would be great if ED could capture this environment. I am sure Ka-50 vibrates a lot more in real life, although that should be a option. It's a sim and not real life, in the sim you can get off the vibrations in real life you waste your spine flying one. :pilotfly: Just my two cents, regards.

Don't know why you are saying this, and I am almost, and I say, almost sure you will be one of those guys that says it won't but you will when C is release. Sorry for my assumption here. It's kind of hard to believe that you won't buy a state of the art simulator just because it will, probably, not be compatible with the previous product. Obviously would be great if ED makes it compatible. But for me, and I say me, I'll surely will get my hands on this product, even if it will not be compatible with previous products, after all I can fly FC2 when I want too. For me it's not a problem. But I guess I understand what you are trying to do. And I am sure the community will not break up regarding compatibility issues, also it's not a solo sim, you will do COOPs. Regards and again sorry for my assumption. EDIT: FC2 is an old product and if ED does not make any sort of uniformization on the future products they will always get stuff to work on on the earlier versions. Maybe they will still do it to bring all the version up to the same level but if it starts to be a burden to upgrade FC2 then I say leave it as it is. It was already a major effort to bring it update to be compatible with Ka50 in my humble opinion.

Question about autorotation for helicopter professionals
Focha replied to Pirke77's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
That sim looks awesome. :) I think you dive too much for speed, that takes out RPM with the collective up too like you said. Still it was pretty quickly. I can only talk about the R22 and R44, in the R22 it's really quick losing RPM but it is also quick to get them back. The R44 is slower in losing and gaining RPM. AS350 it has also lots of inertia. I don't know about Mi-8 but it was really quick. About the Ka-50 in the sim, I also think it's very forgiving. Although I don't have any knowledge on Ka-50 as I never flown one, so I don't know how the real one acts. Regards. -
The forth question is a good one. I guess you will have the same or better graphics quality as on BS.
