Mirage can maneuver incredibly well and change direction in a split second, making it much easier to spoof missiles via maneuver. Also Chaff/Flare working or not is basically a dice roll in DCS. Spam enough and any missile will miss.

If find this to make a massive difference. As a MiG-29 I get seen less, and I find myself getting the drop on F-15 pilots a lot more than I do in the Su-27. Also no point in the Su-27's extra payload if you can't use it due to being dead. Just my experience with the two.

Yeah, I think many forget that it is a direct matchup for the MiG-21, even being used to simulate it at Red Flag events. People cry out for more matchups and less standalone "out of place" aircraft and than complain when they actually get that. Particularly surprising given how popular the MiG-21 is, and how badly it needed a comparable opponent.

We have also seen a textured cockpit shot with some form of HUD for the F-14, but nothing of the like for the Viggen yet.

Likely not, as the radar display either did or did not have a TV feed. The display we are getting does not have that feature.

Oh how I hope we get a DCS screenshot of the cockpit soon, I see that picture thrown about all over the forum and it just looks like so much fun!

Sounds like it, but they may have one as it seems silly to release without their own campaign. Especially considering how good the Mi-8's one is. I would appreciate some clarification.

A lot of people forget this. Information is half the battle. The RWR on the Gazelle is better than the one in the MiG-21, and has already saved my life several times by allowing me to evade Su-27s and the like. In a helicopter, let alone a mach 1.6 fighter. No, it won't be as good as a Su-27 or F-15, but it is not supposed to be. It's place will be fighting MiG-21s. But it will do better versus more modern fighters than the MiG-21 does.
