  1. Not true, loving it with my 3090. Not going back to SteamVR. OpenXR and the Toolkit working great.
  2. will be interested in your "seat of the pants" comparison report! It's all about the visuals. good luck!
  3. not gonna happen... I'm sure a fix will be forthcoming. Regardless, I'm enjoying this thoroughly with the Apache. Getting better at my landings.
  4. He did post something up, I and some others tried. It didn't work (for me at least).
  5. just need'n peachmonkey to post on this one. I saw his first post was very specific. (sorry, don't have a Varjo to assist).
  6. ^^^THIS! (and you'll be fine).
  7. it appears some EVGA software broke something (for those particular users in M$F$). Via the toolkit developer: Changes in Hotfix 4 Fix issue caused by EVGA software. Introduce Pimax culling workaround (“WFOV Hack”) for Flight Simulator 2020. Add override for each field of view angles independently. Unlock Motion Reprojection when exiting.
  8. I'm really looking forward to your "experiment" buddy. Honest! I'm sure it'll go well (fingers crossed). :-)
  9. working fine for me too... No issues with VA or SSA....
  10. Indeed, another nice benefit of OpenXR. :-)
  11. Hola Don, do you have sufficient disk space on any of your SSD's? I know your position about not wanting to mod, (which is cool). This would be extreme, but you could make a parallel copy of your virgin install. Then use that 2nd version for testing things out? Just a thought....
  12. cool! me too. Was daring to take the Apache around on it but worth it!
  13. As noted by Hammer-1, I've had no issues with the Toolkit, going between DCS and M$F$. Works great.
  14. FWIW, I caught via the M$F$ thread, the Toolkit development team is planning to add some additional perf measures into a future release. This was one of the more compelling points for me.
  15. No worries buddy, we appreciate all of your contributions and hard work here! If given the choice of flying or testing, I'd take flying too! Whenever you manage to get that valuable currency freed up (time), we know you'll share. All I can say is OpenXR & Toolkit are awesome. Thanks again SoH, your thread is legendary in this part of the woods!
  16. I saw via the M$F$ thread, the Toolkit developer is planning to include further perf measures into an upcoming release. cool beans!
  17. just go to your c:\users\<your_username>\Save Games\DCS.openbeta. and rename fxo to fxo.1 and metashaders2 to metashaders2.1 they'll automatically rebuild themselves... easy peasy...
  18. my rig specs are in my sig. Been flying the Apache for the last 3 days with the OpenXR and Toolkit, and sharing my experiences. - have the full monty, opencomposite v0.6.2 and the toolkit 1.0.4. - within the toolkit, I do NOT have upscaling enabled. just going with the 100% for now.... - in the toolkit, I have bumped up the world scale to 120% My M-4 now looks almost life size. Don't ask my why I know that.... - For OpenXR, my custom render scale is 150%, and MR is "always on". Yes, I'm using MR, but read on... I've cycled through all of the maps, just flying the Apache. Using the default SP, hot ramp start for the flights. For Caucasus, always a solid 30fps, with an occassional bump up to 45, (but very occassional). As noted in this thread, with the Toolkit, 30fps is the new 45! Persian Gulf, 90% of the time I'm at 45fps, and the occassional drop to 30. NTTR, similar to my Persian Gulf measures. Marianas, most all of the time at 30fps. (I also had fun landing my chopper on the carrier task force that was operating near the island chain). Syria, taking off from Incirlik at 30, but I did have a few dips to 22.5. But the majority of the time, I managed 30 over the cities. Syria seemed to be the most taxing with the Apache, followed by the Mariana's. I've left MR on, and am very happy with the 30fps. It just looks great. Rather, my flights are BUTTER SMOOTH!!! Plus, all of the color tweaks you can do with the Toolkit, (it's a bonus). With OpenXR at 150%, the terrain and graphics just look stunning and clear. I'm sure I could throttle back from the 150%, to get higher fps, by why? 30fps via the toolkit is just rock solid and looks great. Most of my DCS in game settings are high, and shadows at medium. The one thing we really need with the Apache. A mod to fix that d*mn rotor blade distortions! I'm going back to flying, it just looks awesome, and I want to have some fun. -Jav
  19. exactly buddy. as noted prior in the thread, 30fps is the new 45, with the Toolkit! Solid and beautiful.
  20. that, and I've upped the world scale in the Apache. Now my M-4 looks like I could actually pick it up and use it. :-)
  21. Via the Developers Settings tab, I have mine set at 120%. Loving how the graphics look. Working for me. Later today, I'll try higher settings. (for M$F$, I've been using 120-150 just fine, so why not try higher with DCS...)
