Varjo Aero: Общее руководство для новых владельцев
javelina1 replied to Supmua's topic in Virtual Reality
I've been eyeballing the Aero again. Been wanting to replace my G2, after upgrading my rig to a 13900K. (Already have the 4090 and 64GB RAM). Been pleased with DCS 2.9 and the OpenXR (toolkit) path with the Reverb. I'm not in the ecosystem, so I know I'll need at least one base station? With the price cut, it seems pretty tempting. -
I'm also running with a G2. with a 13900K and 4090, 64gb DDR5 and 4x NVMe's. Using DLSS as well. VR has never run as well as it is now. Incredibile

Indeed, good to keep the development going! But it's also good to have a marketing front to keep the "juices" alive. Hence, keep your coders doing what they do best, and the marketing folks stoking the interest. A delicate dance, in RL I have to balance the techies and business relationship folks. But I realize the scale of the resourcing for our 3rd party teams, and put things in perspective. I love OctupusG and their developer is it's heart and soul, completely. So all the best, and this bird will be a first day purchase from me! (Love the I-16)

Naw, Chuck needed a little more time for the manual.... (tongue in cheek, tongue in cheek)! We love you Chuck, and your hard work! And you too Razbam! Come on F-15E!!!

yep, working for me and I'm able to download the Sinai module now.

Very happy to hear this announcement, and will definitely buy!

I've used vr-optician. I literally ordered and had the inserts within 7 days. That's coming from Germany to the desert Southwest of the USA. They work great.

Thanks for the info Don, I'm sure a few who've been on the fence may trigger on this. If I had already my upgraded my primary rig I'd consider it. Right now I've been thinking about hitting on the i9-13900K. Granted there are other things to buy to make it functional, but I have my 4090 that I could swap into it. Figuring I would then push my 9700K to the secondary system, and revive my dormant 3090FE for that second unit. (My secondary unit is for the grandkids, which currently has an even older CPU and the Rift S, and using a RTX3070). Regardless, I've followed your input about the Aero and it sounds awesome. But I'm really wanting to step up my 9700K. Happy VR flying there buddy! -Jav

EXPERIMENTAL: Resizable BAR in DCS for NVIDIA RTX 30 Series GPUs
javelina1 replied to ShaunX's topic in Virtual Reality
by default whenever I update the nVidia driver, I just automatically make the BAR edit in my DCS profile. Whether helps or not at this point, I don't know. (I do it for the other WWII sim and the Civ sim as well...) -
Holy smokes, I found the forum! WTH?! They stuck it into a hidden little corner of the site. I used to come to the DCS VR forum because of the posts, but agree, it seems like things have dropped off.

I flew the Apache yesterday afternoon and used Voice Attack. It worked just fine, though a couple of commands had some issues maybe due to rebinding, which I plan to recheck today. A while back, I ended up disabling VAICOM (as noted in that specific thread).

re-map deleted keybinds Has something changed with keybinds?
javelina1 replied to Hippo's topic in Bugs and Problems
ditto, same issue for me. just rebound them, and all is well. cool beans. -
my bad for not stating this more clear, I was alluding to my actual hotas hardware. I'm using a K-51 collective, rather than my TM WH throttle. It feels/fly's more "chopperish" to me. Plus, I set some hotas curves, (keeping them linear just isn't realistic with the length and throw of our desktop hotas equipment. you have to compensate). Lastly from the first or second day of having the Apache, I did make the change in the "Special" tab settings for the Cyclic and such.
-
exactly, EA is probably not suited for some folks... for me, I've been enjoying the "heck" out of the Apache. I know it's a WIP, and I'm fine with that.... like a fine wine, it'll all come together with a little time.

me too, until I adjusted my HOTAS settings (specs in my sig)
