  1. same here, not giving them up. They look great with my VR setup. Flying with OpenXR and Toolkit just fine. 120%, MR, no upscaling, and sharpening at 60%. The rest of DCS at high or above. I toggle between 30 and 45 FPS. Smooth and fluid. (with the Toolkit, 30 IS the new 45). Note, this is with the Apache. With other mods, I keep consistently at 45.
  2. I share the same thoughts/feedback OP! It is a little frustrating...
  3. I go between 30 and 45 with the Apache. Have settings at high or above for most things. Just finished a mission (SP), where I took out a T90 and 3x T72's. Was awesome flying through the trees, and planning my ambush points. Those ungrateful b@st@rds fired at least 4 missiles at me throughout the ordeal, and forced me to take some serious evasive action. Fortunately Betty gave me plenty of heads up prior. Plus, I knew something was coming up, when the flares just started auto kicking off.... With OpenXR and the Toolkit, just note, 30 is the new 45... I have OpenXR at 120% for the Toolkit, no upscaling and sharpness at 60%. DCS PD at 1.0, and other settings at high or above...
  4. you'll love 'em. a great set of pedals, solid build. I can't imagine flying anything without them at this point.
  5. I'm using OpenXR, the toolkit, and this nVidia tweak. Somewhere between the combination of these additions, I'm seeing the most fantastic graphics ever. I can't tell you how much fun I'm having in the Apache. Flying through the trees, at the right moment, popup, and ambush the baddies. This is truly how VR should be! With OpenXR, I'm set at 120%, and using MR. For the toolkit, I do not upscale, but I have sharpen set to 60%. And yep, I threw in these tweaks to my DCS profile. It is what it is, and I'm enjoying flying (and no more tweaking). Have the cold start, takeoff and landing nailed. Letting George have fun with my firing consent (on the Hellfire's).
  6. doesn't involve that much to get it going. I'd say, give it a whirl. if things don't work out, just back out the changes and stick with WMR4SVR.
  7. I converted a little while back, and now worship at the altar of OpenXR....
  8. maybe uninstall your nVidia driver, DDU, and then re-install? Via nVidia profile inspector, clicking on "restore current profile to nVidia defaults" does nothing?
  9. same here, I just got the update for OpenXR Tools for Windows Mixed Reality 110.2204.7007
  10. don't know about any driver requirement, I've been using the latest one anyways. (not aware of any "on the fly" type change capability either, sorry)
  11. yes, I believe that is what happens. For DCS, I've been using that profile anyways, so I made my changes there.
  12. agreed, I had a blast (literally) with this yesterday afternoon. spent a lot of time in the Apache, having George take out some T-55's... I didn't want to stop flying, the scenery looks awesome. Also, did the same thing, edited my DCS black shark profile with these settings...
  13. thank you for sharing pastranario3, this is a really great tweak! good stuff!
  14. With OpenXR, the Toolkit, and now that "better 3D" tweak, DCS VR is just awesome. I'm having a blast with the Apache, and cannot believe how good things look and run. Really, really awesome stuff!
  15. Don, did you click on this? https://ibb.co/7W531Kh (info/pic via the OP). Indeed, this is a pretty cool thingy. I'm going to try out the other WWII sim and M$F$ later today, (for grins). I do like it for DCS.
  16. gracias
  17. just curious, what are your DCS Shadow settings?
  18. if push comes to shove, I presume you could always uninstall the driver and then reinstall? wouldn't that clobber everything with the nVidia default settings?
  19. Made the edits, flew around in the Apache using my standard Caucasus SP mission. Not sure if I'm seeing that much of a diff, but I'll keep this in place for when I fly a bit more later today. Not sure how much "pop" I'll get, especially when I'm flying with OpenXR at 150%, along with the Toolkit (no upscaling). Plus, I'm using Mustang's terrain mod, along with Taz's tree mod. Regardless, I'll still test this out more extensively later today. With OpenXR, the ToolKit, and I'll hold onto this mod, might be winning combo's.
  20. Interesting, I'll give this a whirl later this morning. Nothing ventured, nothing gained....
  21. did you back out the mod before the OB update? It'll clobber files. If so, then probably do this: - back out any existing mods - do a repair of DCS - remove the fxo and metashader2 sub-dir's (in your c:/user/account_name/saved games/dcs openbeta.....) - re-install the OpenXR and Toolkit per the instructions (to the letter). - try again...
  22. exactly what I do when running at 150%. Up-scaling off at that point.
  23. should be this (is what he's referring too). I also run at 150%.
  24. awesome stuff, thank you for sharing!
  25. interesting, thanks for sharing. I also saw that WMR for Steam VR pushed out an update earlier today. Check the notes, it mentioned something about improvements with graphics buffers and GPU memory utilization....
