  1. Yes, I downloaded from user files and it has 4 missions. So, what I have is not the full campaign.
  2. Interesting, I didn't realize that it was now offered for sale as an official campaign. I just downloaded it from the user files section few months ago.
  3. I have only flown the first mission so far and it was Mi-8. I don't know what happens next :-) But this is a free campaign so you have nothing to lose by trying it. You can also bypass the campaign mode and fly some single missions if you prefer.
  4. Yes, see the guide here: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=114030
  5. Generally you should be able to look inside the dcs_variant.txt file in your installation directory. If you don't have this file or if the contents is "release" then you are on the release version. If the contents is "openbeta" then you are on the Open Beta branch.
  6. See also https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=166139
  7. But somehow Viggen supports this https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=3105599
  8. A bunch of aircraft have more than one AB stage. Viggen has 3 distinct AB stages (both in RL and in the sim), with cockpit indication. Mig-21 and Su-33 have at least an extra "emergency" AB stage (used for carrier takeoff in Su-33). Also, reportedly F-15C has five AB zones and this is modeled in the sim (but I can't find the reference).
  9. Free campaign is not certain. A lot of ED modules do not have free campaigns (e.g. F-5, F-86, L-39, Spitfire, Mig-15). Has anything official been said about campaign for Hornet?
  10. I guess you are not getting my point: the course is too straightforward to show significant variations. Everyone is flying it pretty much the same (for example, full AB entire time). And the time measurement is with 1 second resolution only. At the finish line you are supersonic so, 1 second is quite a lot :).
  11. So, I am a pretty average pilot (well, maybe below average but no one wants to admit that:)) and I did this in 1:45 on the second try (the first one was without AB just to get familiar with the route). I know this is not the best time, but my point is that variances that small can mean only one thing: this track is way too easy. For a better challenge try "Su-27 Sky Scraper" (in regular single missions, not in instant action). It was already pretty difficult before the new Caucasus map, but now, with all those trees... Attached is the same mission modified for the Hornet. Good luck FA-18C - Sky Scraper.miz
  12. You can already generate the squares (called gates), for each waypoint. See "SHOW HELPER GATES" or "SHOW HELPER GATES FOR UNIT" actions in the mission editor. I don't know of any way to have the move though.
  13. It's just a regular zip file with .miz extension instead of .zip. Inside there are mostly lua files and maybe some image and sound files. You can open it or extract is with 7-zip (for example).
  14. This can also happen when you set the player's aircraft to start from runway but there is already AI taking off from the same runway.
  15. No, it's starting 10 sec before the (estimated) impact time.
  16. That's not true, there is plenty of stuff running on the CPU (e.g. flight model, the world simulation) which has nothing to do with the graphics API. (I am not arguing for overclocking, only that CPU speed will still be important even with Vulkan)
  17. "Targetting Mode Reset" on the PVR panel (Backspace)
  18. No, in MP each player's aircraft flight model runs on the client machine, not on the server. So the AFM by itself does not have CPU hit on the server.
  19. Discord has similar function as Teamspeak. Some servers use one or the other, some use both. And there is also Simple Radio Standalone, which many people/servers prefer for added realism (it integrates with the in-cockpit radio controls of full DCS modules). In short, it's all dependent on a particular server. But it is a bit of a mess. Community is somewhat divided. IMHO, only the official built-in voice communication in DCS can solve this.
  20. That's actually what happens. On the F10 map click on an aicraft (it will become yellow) and then press F2.
  21. Make sure that spacebar is not bound to anything in the input controls.
  22. This has been an intermittent issue for as long as I remember...

    Autopilot

As I said, you can only bind UFC buttons like "UFC Function Selector Pushbutton - A/P" or "UFC Option Select Pushbutton 1" etc. You cannot bind RALT or BALT etc. because these are not commands in the sim. But if you bind UFC buttons you will be able to use them for other UFC functions too (e.g. TACAN setup).

    Autopilot

Yes and no... Autopilot disconnect is already bound to 'A'. Other autopilot functions are controlled through UFC. You can bind individual UFC buttons but that's not the same as binding autopilot functions. Each press of the UFC button does what it does depending on the current UFC mode (page) and the same will be true of your keyboard bindings. AFAIK, there is no way to bind autopilot functions only.
  25. This worked for me, thanks. Yeah, for anyone else, copy the "main" folder itself (not contents) from the archive into your "Saved Games/DCS/Mods/tech/" folder.
