  1. Hello, I would like to request that we have the option for a different propellor model for all the prop aircraft in game and any future one. A prop model similar to the one of the p51 would be best. This is down to the well known issue that the propellors of all aircraft apart from the p51 have been causing fps drops. That and along with the effects that ship with some of the props (that make it looks like we are watching a video with a set shutter speed, instead of seeing it with our eyes) makes the current props less than diserable in vr. It would be better to have this standardised prop than having them be slightly different in the way they are modeled depending on when they are released.
  2. To add to this, I have noticed that when the canopy is open I can hear aircraft that are at a distance from me louder than my own engine
  3. Disregard, i have discovered it is due to not locking the priming pump. I'll leave this up for others.
  4. Issue with the p47. No matter what the prop setting, fixed, auto etc. The rpm keeps dropping randomly. There is no reason for this. It happens after startup and will continue till after takeoff. Makeing the aircraft unflyable.
  5. Yeah I suspect it is more to do with the actual balance. Oh also the splutter sound if you idel too quick is the same as what the p51 was and it is grating me. I assume it is a placeholder.
  6. Hello. This applies to all aircraft in sim really. I've noticed seems to be worse in recent updates. The position lights are very bright in the daytime and emit a bright glow around them, this is not true irl. They are not very visible in the day time, you can see they are on but they don't light up like they are the sun. Landing lights aren't bright enough to light up the ground even more on a sunny day. They also don't emit 2d rays like on the p47. At night time, again all lights are way to bright and the wird orb that forms around them is like from a game in the 2000s. position lights are designed to emit light at a certain angle so other aircraft can see the direction of travel. https://learntofly.ca/wp-content/uploads/2011/02/aircraft-position-lights.jpg The light in game can be seen from the cockpit, this is not correct.
  7. Hello, Just wondering if the P47 sounds are complete? Just an observation that compared to the ww2 modules that have all received an improvement this seems to be lacking. The engine rumble in a flypast appears to be missing. The tire noise on landing is very loud, I hear it over the engine so much so that the engine is essentially silent. I fly with hear like in helmet on as it adds to the realism, but some of the rumble from the engine appears to be lost between that. That you would actual hear. Thanks.
  8. We desperately need a fix for this
  9. I seems to be an issue related to the 3d style prop that has been implemented in most aircraft, a solution would be a simple prop for all aircraft we can enable whilst they get a proper fix. It bothers me that this is still an issue.
  10. I have to agree, I didn't buy the normandy map because it seemed lacking in size. THe same with this one, if it was combined i'd be far more inclined to purchase.
  11. +1 However I have notice the issue when not near any of the carriers. Always seems to be when some form of aircraft light is on.
  12. Thanks for the info! Yeah I agree it adds so much. Personally I would rather suffer with no buttons than no ffb, I am debating doing some surgery and changing the joystick but I feel like I'd mess it up. Maybe heatblur should get in on some FFB making! The other issue I've been having with ffb is going in the back seat in multiplayer. It seems to think I am in the front as the ffb effects are that of the flight controls.
  13. Ah roger, thanks for the info. I didn't notice much of a difference between the special ffb setting enabled or disabled in the settings. Can you elaborate on what it does?
  14. The issue with the mod is that even though it works with the supercarrier. It does not work with hangers etc which still have the shadows and bring fps down.
  15. I have some more screenshots to illustrate my point: In this example I have used the F86 (without curves, with them it creates a whole new issue ED are not willing to fix anytime soon). This is at spawn in on the sabre, you can see the control indicator and the trim indicator are aligned as it should be. The image below shows what happens when trim is applied. Then we go to the f14, the trim is forward on start which is fine and I suspect it is supposed to be. However you can see the trim indicator and the control indicator are not aligned (I havent touched anything here). So the controls are further forward then they should be and using a stick without ffb this issue would not exist. And I have set the trim in the following pic to be central, as you will see the controls have not centered. This makes it odd to fly the f-14 as the trim isn't necessarily correct. I also tried turning on an off the f14 ffb trim in the special options but it made 0 difference?
  16. Okay yes, the issue is here. Since that is neutral without any input, both the actual stick position and the trimmer should be aligned. It might be a base game issue. Like the use of curves with ffb making the stick very sensitive when trimmed to long lengths.
  17. Afirm if I uncheck swap axis it swings the stick over to the side instead of pitch axis. I'll try take a video/better screenshot later. Can you provide me with a screenshot of the control view on the ground just after startup with engines running? Without changing the trim. So the smaller trim marker should be central? Thanks
  18. Thanks ill give it a go. :)
  19. I am well aware how trim works. However you can see the small maker on the center of both axis? That is the trip position indicator. In this aircraft and every other aircraft in dcs when that is in the center the controls should be also. Which as you can see, they aren't. Hence this been a bug and problem as the stick is nosing over when it should be central from the start. I understand not all controls have an equal amount of pitch up and down travel, but that is shown on the control input as well by the x axis being moved further up.
  20. Have been having some very odd black 2d square type things flash up in my eyes in most aircraft ive flown. Assume this is related.
  21. So in external view the shadows should still be there? Oh what an idiot, yeah i see they show up in external view but not in the cockpit. Is there a way I can make them just not show up?
  22. As you can see in the screenshot that isn't the case. I copied and overwrote the shadows.lua from kegetys post.
  23. Anyone else having this issue? It is not possible to fly the f14 with ffb because of this.
  24. Yes, and just to confirm it is supposed to just show cockpit shadows?
  25. Yes, the shadows are displaying on all external parts of the model as per usual. Have i missed something
