It would be appreciated if the controllers show up instead of hands, it is a nice novelty but it is easier to point with your actual controller visible. I would like to have the option to be able to press the switches by putting the controller up against it and pressing the trigger. Because as it is now you don't press anything and the switches can be inadvertently pressed and move around uncontrollably. Also it would be better when trying to control objects from far away if you didn't have to hold down multiple buttons and use the joystick on the top to control them. Instead highlight the switch, lever, dial that is selected and you can make the gesture to move it. This best as you are still interacting with it even if it is further away. A vr friendly menu that can be accessed from the controller would be appreciated, change views, access ground and re arming as well. How the controllers are implemented right now is insufferable. I enjoy using them in other flight sims and with some polish and options I could here as well.

[REPORTED] Fps drops when the engine is running
hazzer replied to hazzer's topic in Bugs and Problems
Hmm that's interesting, does the yak have a similar spikes as the anton or is it more stable. I wonder since the effects are both worse on those 2. What was you doing when you did these tests? Just on the ground. I wonder if the fps changes with rpm/power changes -
There is an issue with the turbulence at low level as well. In multiplayer it was experienced where players would overfly others on the taxiway and it would destroy the jets, since the turbulence doesn't interact with the ground and dissipate. Meaning on servers like the aerobatics online that it has to be disabled. Perhaps an option to make aircraft on the ground immune from wake?

The mustang has an older propeller model, perhaps it is something to do with that -

Thanks nineline, vsync won't help in vr unfortunately since it dips my fps below 45! Any progress on the same issue for the yak or not yet? Thanks :) -
Do you fly the spit with random failures on?
hazzer replied to Birko's topic in DCS: Spitfire L.F. Mk. IX
I have turned them on and never had a failure, at least that I noticed -
Can't tell much difference myself. The horrible backfire/popping sound still is there :sad_2:
-
Ah interesting. I do get confused by that as well as when the fuel pump is turned on then off the pressure in the 51 goes to 0. Probably should hold it
-
Depending on the aircraft the stick wont necessarily be in the centre which is the whole fun thing about ffb! It sounds like what happens when the swap axis option isn't pressed but you've tried it. I've had many ffb problems but not this one, unfortunately ed probably won't be bringing out any fixes for us with ffb as I've been nagging for a long time about some issues.
-
I'd be surprised if it was fixed any time soon. Issues like this seems to take a very back seat. It is something that has always bothered me because every aircraft I fly (albeit with smaller engines) can be started with the mixture in the rich position. Neither the spit or the mustang will even splutter if the mixture is set to rich.
-
This needs to be fixed.
-
Do you fly anything before the problem starts? I have an issue where the f14 stops the ffb working in other aircraft
-
In the dcs settings is ffb actually enabled?
-
Hmm yeah, something is off then. I even have a bit of curves added and it still trims down. Have you tried it in other aircraft? The only thing I can think of is the weird ritual i have to do when using vr and msffb2 remove its usb then put it in. Then start vr then start dcs and it works. Otherwise the effects are there but not correct.
-
I mean the spitfire is generally hard to trim. As it is ffb the stick will move as it would irl so it won't be perfectly centered. You should be able to trim it out though.

+1

Correct, I was asking about the tail wheel bug though. Regarding the sounds they said in the last update that the sound was being worked on and they hired someone specifically for this. Now they have said that it will be done when someone gets to it so i wouldn't expect it anytime soon.

Is there an ETA on this bug being fixed? It is getting tiring having to ask about this all the time.

[Official] SimShaker for Aviators
hazzer replied to f4l0's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Hey, was in the p51. At idle rpm you don't really feel much vibration if any. -
Have to agree the viggen is my favorite, I own all other modules.

Would be great to have something like a moveable kneeboard in VR iPad style
-
It would be very helpful if all aircraft that are developed come with a quick reference handbook with checklists that can be used in the kneeboard (which could do with an update as well). I am aware that checklists can be downloaded however most are just made up by us. It would be much nicer to have them with the aircraft upon release that can be looked upon whilst we fly giving typical speeds power settings, emergency procedures etc.

Thanks!
