Progress on this? Not sure why it needs asking when this along with the other fps issues should be a number one priority.
-
I just went on a flight for the first time in a few weeks. I had to give up halfway through, that is horrendous. In VR it was stuttering every few seconds, the fps was much lower even with me reducing the settings. It was no fun at all. I am concerned that ED think this is okay as they had the lighting 'upgrade'. Usually when a game upgrades performance increased, yet in the case of DCS it has been on a rather rapid decline. Performance should be of the highest priority, at this point in time there is 0 reason for me to fly in DCS.

Honestly I have given up with this. I personally think if modules are not kept up to date it shouldn't be possible to purchase. I would love a refund but thats not going to happen.

If the solution to an update in lighting is to 'turn down the settings' then it clearly wasn't worth it. Any other modern flight sim optimizes and improves over time, Dcs has only got worse.

I'd rather they fixed the frame rate but with all ww2 aircraft APART from the P51 first

winter update still on track? (yak-52 candlelit vigil)
hazzer replied to twistking's topic in DCS: Yak-52
Yep. Missing features, poor fps (all prop aircraft, ED don't seem to want to answer if this is being worked on even though it should be a priority). -
This is an issue in multiplayer also. A reason why the 'aerobatics online' server has had to disable wake turbulence. It causes lag and this issue. So if someone does a low flypast over someone else the ground aircraft will be destroyed. It is a massive oversight. In the real world the wake would dissipate over the ground and have no effect essentially.

[REPORTED] Fps drops when the engine is running
hazzer replied to hazzer's topic in Bugs and Problems
As nineline pointed out it is actually in every prop aircraft but the p51. We need clarification on if the same issue is going to come out with the p47 and mossie, if so I simply can't buy it -

It can be noticed more if you have more than one of the aircraft at fault in your view. So if I'm flying on the aerobatics online server for example, at first by myself frame drop is there but not noticeable. If someone else joins and starts up a prop it becomes apparent and only gets worse the more aircraft. Obvs the aircraft have some fps impact but none have this large of an effect. The p51 is the only one which works properly, as far as I understand it is because the 51 has a more basic prop model -

This needs to be fixed asap. I haven't flow dcs in so long due to critical issues like this. PLEASE confirm if the mosquito and p47 are both having the same issues whilst in development, as it would be misleading to release them without clarifying this. -
VR Shaders mod for better VR experience
hazzer replied to Kegetys's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
Issue was that I was running the minimal version to pass the integrity check however when doing that with this version it fails to compile. -

[REPORTED] Fps drops when the engine is running
hazzer replied to hazzer's topic in Bugs and Problems
It appears there are more than just the usual performance issues with prop aircraft this version. Instead we have an overall performance drop, highlights the other performance issues even more. I would indeed like to know if the future ww2 aircraft are experiencing the same performance issues. -
This can mainly be noticed from a standstill till moving a few feet. If you have full rudder and high power setting with the tailwheel unlocked the aircraft should move in that direction as the airflow goes over the rudder. This does not happen. The rudder only becomes effective once you have airspeed, it does not take into account the prop wash. This is incorrect and means that the effectiveness of the rudder is incorrect.

This happens with lots of lights on loads of aircraft. Has been like it for a while for most.

In the latest version I have found that when looking around at certain viewpoints one eye will go black, if I look another way it will appear again. Same with the other eye. At first I thought it was my VR headset on its way out, but I noticed I could still see part of the screen inside and it looked like it was a pop up blank 2d window.

Did the Mustang got the new merlin sounds as the Spitfire?
hazzer replied to Eviscerador's topic in DCS: P-51D Mustang
Having not flown for a while I have come back to the p51 and noticed a massive improvement in sounds. These new sounds are pretty much perfect. Well done team!!! -
In vr in any other aircraft I get a solid 45 fps (locked) but with the ka50 new update it is down to 40?

Are you aware if the P-47 or Mosquito has this issue as well? -
winter update still on track? (yak-52 candlelit vigil)
hazzer replied to twistking's topic in DCS: Yak-52
Unfortunately I have run out of patience, I'm sick of this being a constant issue. Not just with the Yak. I find it crazy that a company can get away with leaving things unfinished 1.5 years on. Ah well my money has already been extracted from my person. Edit: I will add that there is a difference between missing features and issues such as no lod and the fps issue with all ww2 props. Obviously the 2 latter items are serious game stopping items that should be fixed immediately, they simply are not items that you aim to fix by the end of 2020. Could you please confirm if they are working on these issues or if they are going to sit till the other work starts? -
Tyre pressures - Spitfires especially
hazzer replied to Irishlad200000's topic in DCS Core Wish List
Correct, the wheels on all aircraft look over inflated. -
Info on the tailwheel, prop and sounds would be nice.
