Jau, ist in dem Fall ein SA-11 Site mit 8 Launchern. In der Mitte noch ein SA-15 zu Nah-Verteidigung, aber das soll uns hier mal nicht stören. Ich hab 4 F-16 SEAD drauf angesetzt und wie gesagt SR und TR explizit als Ziele zugewiesen. Alle HARMs die an der SA-15 vorbeikommen, zwischen 6 und 12 von den 16 gehen alle auf die Launcher. Immer. Aber mal Butter bei die SAMs - die AGM 88 wird und kann IRL nur auf das Radar abgeschossen, richtig?

Kann mich einer mit seiner Weisheit erhellen? Die HARM findet sein Ziel durch die Radaremissionen eines Bodenradars, richtig? Wieso und wie überhaupt werden dann vom AI immmer/oft die Launcher angegriffen bzw zerstört? Die Launcher senden ja keine Emissionen aus oder? Ist das eine Unzulänglichkeit von DCS oder hat die HARM einen 'schlauen Trick' um vom Radar auf die Launcher zu kommen? In jedem Fall würde ich es bevorzugen der AI würde sich auf das Search bzw Tracking Radar konzentrieren. Ich hab eine Mission erstellt und bei den advanced Waypoints sogar die Search und Tracking Einheiten als Ziel definiert. Leider landen die HARMs immer in den Launchern. Meine Frage bezieht sich aber tatsächlich auf die HARM, nicht auf den ME.

Just a quick one - had no search results here - any chance to find the ground speed displayed in any of the Hornet's sub menues? Maybe dumb, maybe blind, couldn't find anything...

As I don't have the M2000 I can't test it out, sorry. The description says it's designed for the M2000 so swapping to the A-10 may cause some issues. Sorry that's all I can tell from here...:music_whistling:

Works as supposed for me. Usually there's a trigger issue if JTAC isn't responding. Is it a certain mission where it's not working?

Maybe the CG - centre of gravity plays its role here. Like airliners use to say: As a wise man's rule, aft CG saves fuel. Don't know anything about the Mass & Balance of the Hornet but having the CG more in the back reduces the pressure to equal the lift of the elevators - less fuel consumption. For most planes. Surely this is more for airliners but aerodynamics work here as there the same way.

No, it can't. Too much refraction and absorbtion for the laser beam from the water particles in the clouds.

You'd better use JDAM's for this. The LG GBU 12 can't see through the clouds. JDAM's just targeting a reference point in the grid system. I used D Mavs to take out the bunkers from beneath the clouds and dropped CBU's from above the clouds on the troops. Worked out pretty well but the mission is designed to use GBU 38s.

I had a really hard time getting trapped after last mission as there is a hell of a crosswind. It's somehow a nice challange but the boat would turn more in the wind though. Maybe the 'support' of the F-14 CAPs could be polished. In the last mission they seem to be doing barrier CAP but not helping you out when outgunned by MIGs over your Target AO. Nice campaign so far!

Here too. Tried to reassign the key bindings after today's update but again - some of the keyboard keys are greyed out without any chance to change them. Some of the TM1600 buttons doesn't work either.

Could be artillery rather than a tank :) At least in DCS they work fine between trees. Anyways, we gonna carpet bomb it then.

With DCS 2.5 the trees became physical -so this brought me to the following question: How effective are the BLU-108 skeets from the CBUs IRL if armor is hiding in wooden areas. I mean IRL a T-90 wouldn't be parked in the wide open. For sure you need to know it's right there under those trees. Let's just assume we know exactly its position. The BLUs have IR and Laser seekers afaik. Could they spot heavy armor and hit it in this condition? Anyone any knowledge about this?

That's it. Have the same with my TM 1.6000. Each button which is a standard function within the profile can't be reassigned.

Same here, roll and yaw gets so heavy that I tend to fire missiles form both sides at a time to equal drag. Otherwise close combat is impossible for me. Just started with dogfights so I can't tell how long this is present. Or has this been since relase?

Not sure if this has already been reportet as bug, could't find anything comparable in the bug section. First off - I couldn't reproduce it myself. My nephew jumped in the Hornet and threw it from left to right and up and down a bit violently. Then it stalled and got more or less stuck. Burners full, wings level, pitch about 50°, AOA about 60°, speed around 60 and slightly climbing. No control input did the trick. Not even going throttle to idle. It just kept 'flying' for some maybe half a minute. Then slowly the nose dropped and it went to a more common stall which I then could recover as usual. Happend after last update from 09/18 Looked quite weird but - sorry to say - I ended DCS and forgot to keep the trak :doh: Regardless of any possible high AOA maneuver of the Horny - this was way off

Will have to give a deeper look at that. Your're right with the SA10, but the SA6 is firing at me neither. Thank god it's friday :joystick:

Haven't posted that before and haven't read about it in other threads yet but - none of the Iranian SAMs firing at me so far. I set them up as usual, CP, Radar, Tracker, Launcher. Coalitions set right as well. Friendly skies so far...

Had the same. For me it worked out to just engage the parking brake. Which makes kind of sense.

Does aynone have the same issue with Mission 15? After the choppers deployed their units at waypoint 'Camp' a little firefight going on and then nothing happens. The convoy with 6 APCs is just sitting on the road and waiting. I stayed in orbit till I ran almost dry but nothing ever happend. Guess we need a bit code and trigger polishing after the DCS updates :music_whistling:
