  1. I have mine set to 2.2 but depending from what angle the sun is shining from it doesn't look too different from your screenshot. When I look in the bright sky brightness got dimmed down a bit and when I look in the darker part it's the other way around - so pretty much what the human eyes does IRL. Isn't this happening on your screen too?
  2. As this is related to modding you'd might better find an answer in the 'Mods and Apps' forums -> https://forums.eagle.ru/forum/english/dcs-world-topics/mods-and-apps
  3. As for the original post - I have the same frames as before. Have you tried a repair? I think deleting the fxo and the metashaders is now part of the update routine. Though you could do this manually.
  4. Just go into your DCS main folder (\DCS World\bin\) and find the dcs.exe. Then send it to your desktop - or make a shortcut
  5. Yes, dig into the 'advanced waypoint' actions in the ME. There are some standard acro maneuvers. But as far I can tell AI does not a real great job here but it's likely to blame on my bad editing skills...
  6. Maybe the Hornet in the video is just a different Lot and there has been some changes
  7. I guess what you see in the videos are users who use TrackIR - it's a head tracker. As for the joystick go for a Thrustmaster 1.6000M for example. Not too fancy but reliable. Welcome to the forums btw!
  8. Well what you are looking for is the best turn rate which is about 350kts I think but this is no magic number. Wachting videos of guys who know their stuff is helpful but it won't bring you in the right spot automatically. It's experience. Practice and more practice will. In the furball I suck too but trying to keep situtional awareness is the most important thing. If you know where your oponent is you can make a better desicion if it's worth to bleeding your energy for getting a good shot or if you'd better turn away go defensive but gaining additional energy for then getting into a better position. Means if you can't get a clean shot - better stop trying and bleeding off all your speed but try to reset the situtation and keep the initiative for the next turn. With some experience and trust in your gun skills you will know when it's worth loosing the momentum for a clean shot or just breaking away. One word to the AI - I think the AI is kind of a relict from the LockOn and Flaming Cliffs days. It wasn't meant AI is cheating but keep it efficent, simple and safe resources. Good AI needs a lot of processing. ED is aware and working hard on a massive improvement bringing it to the next level. And from another prespective, like many in this forum said, AI is good training - if you can take it on with an experienced AI pilot - you are ready for the multiplayer furball against humans.
  9. Not answering your question here but asking an important question in the first place - is your opponent AI or human? The AI uses a simplified flight model and thus he's not losing energy from high G turns and climbs et.
  10. Just a quick one firing from the hip here but the harpoon needs the search point roughly 10nm prior to the expected target. Otherwise like you experienced it'll overshoot. But I barely used the harpoon yet and haven't checked your trk.
  11. No offence mates but please use the search function. This topic has been discussed in various threads. As per in the real Hog there is no such function. Quick work around is to set the TGP in standby and back on or use the HMCS SPI function. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=287668 https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=287452 and more...
  12. Right, the A-10C II behaves more like e.g. the Hornet now. I think it will take some time to reset my muscle memories but we're one the right way now. Just abandon the old Hog then
  13. Mate, this is one of the few things that drives me really nuts  Mouse clicks / switches should be consistent throughout all modules. Not even different from my old hog to the hornet - now also differs from hog old to hog new... Each time I want to change/switch on/off day/night etc I'm wondering whats going to happen...Master Caution or not...place your bets
  14. The servers are pretty busy right now, maybe try later. I had to try couple of times... Darn...everybody wants this hog :pilotfly::joystick:
  15. Have you set speed and height in the advanced waypoint settings also?
  16. All true, but as a whole new AI engine is being worked on I don't think we'll get a quick solution or a workaround for dumb wingmans anytime soon :joystick: But +1 anyways

    Campaigns

Right here mate -> User Files
  18. Hm I'll try again then a bit closer. Thanks mate!
  19. enjoying the above named mission till I got a 'mission fail'... I hit the 3 shelters and got it confirmed. Then I got the massage with the coordinates for the fourth shelter. But while punching in the coordinates to create the waypoint I got the massage that I failed. SA 10 didn't spot me as far as I can tell and I was about 45 - 55 nm away in a fast and high orbit. ~ 40000 ft The 'fail' massage came up about 30 sec after getting the coordinates. Too bad I didn't keep the .trk. A bug or did I miss something? So far I really enjoyed the campaign! :pilotfly::joystick:
  20. The todays update states that sound is WIP still. Edit: I do have some crackling sounds when panning around the plane after 09/18 OB update. Can't tell if it's a bug. Would be the wrong section here anyways...
  21. Parking break has to be engaged
  22. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=280929
  23. I did have this also after the last OB update but after deleting the .fxo and the metashader files it was back to normal.
  24. That's an ammunition depot, isn't it? The secondaries then are there ever since
