  1. Hm, I can set the Tacan from starting point without any issues. Works as supposed to me.
  2. Thanks for trying! I already deleted the mod (it contained Deckcrew which is obsolete with the Supercarrier anyways) but didn't have time to replay the mission yet. As said I'll try again soon but I bet it had to do with a bug which was adressed with the last update. "The AI was breaking the rules of physics..." My guess is that the AWACS or Tanker was set to orbit with the wrong speed. I see them often performing turns or orbits with turnrates that doesn't meet with their angle of bank. Anyways I'll try to dig deeper and provide another track without the mod. @Exorcet: I noticed this also but in the given case it was different as I zoomed and panned all around Thanks for your help and ideas so far Update: disregard that physics-idea. It's still there but just after a while of playing. I let the mission run on it's own, I was just a spectator. What I did was a bit of time acceleration here and there and there it was again. Maybe that is the reason. It's not a big thing to me so...and I forgot to save the track...:music_whistling:
  3. Thanks for your hints guys but it happens in single player missions
  4. Bump. Nobody else has seen this? Maybe reported ages ago? :music_whistling:
  5. Well, I can't be really a help here but though I can confirm that if I use TIR the bindings for my coolie hat are gone. I have left, right, up and down view on my coolie hat so that keys aren't really missing when connectig TIR. Different story when you have DMS keys bound on it
  6. I had the same issue some days ago with current OB. After landing on the carrier I asked for refuel/rearm. I got fuel to about 2/3s but then it got stuck and nothing happend. No new ordnance at all. I then skipped refuelling and headed to a land-base where the refuelling and rearming worked as supposed. Pretty sad I didin't keep the track.
  7. It should change but I'm not sure if there was a bug updating the stores page after rearming. Best way is to choose your loadout before starting up DDIs or even before starting up the jet
  8. Did you release your parking break before asking to remove the chocks? Parking break has to be engaged before removing the chocks. As for now the SCs are: CVN-71 Theodore Roosevelt CVN-72 Abraham Lincoln CVN-73 George Washington Well you should see the difference by the level of detail and if there is a deckcrew in 'motion'. You did buy the SC module right?
  9. Guys I don't know since when this startet to happen but I just noticed that after some minutes of play-time AI planes, especially Tankers and AWACS, starts to contrail pretty weird. I do have dynamic weather in the mission and my guess is that this has some effect to the contrailing. Haven't checked the mission without dynamic weather so far but I will ASAP. Sorry if this has already been reported... Caucasus_std_mis_contrail_bug.trk
  10. There's not even one single unit in this outstanding simulation that behaves like the real thing. So where's the point? But - please lets bring this to an end by saying: "Yes, you are right!"
  11. Hm, never heard such issues before but what comes to my mind on this - I had some trouble with mouse clicks before I updated my pc rig. The system was just too weak and at the very low end of my FPS mouse clicks occasionally weren't recognized. Really don't know if this correlates with the issues you described but should be obvious to check. If you encounter very low FPS - could be the reason. If not just disregard. As for the mouse setup and binding I don't think that there is much you can change AFAIK. Never did and never had to.:joystick:
  12. You have to set your altimeter. Just turn the knob lower right side in the attached pic. Height of the Supercarrier is AFAIK about 72 feet, Stennis is 68 feet.
  13. I see what you mean. Let's hope this will be adressed in the ED A-10C 2:thumbup:
  14. I'd say a RAM test would be a good starting point for troubleshooting. Do you use one or two dimms? Memtest86 or prime95 are helplful.
  15. This works different from just looking how a certain airplane 'performs' within some Wiki-charts. Just my thoughts... DCS is a simulation we all know. So they programmed a physics-engine to get as close as possible to the real-thing. Which is really complex, what we all know as well...But the thing is - and I'm not a programmer in any ways - there're always has to be compromises and arrangements to be found to balance between system performance and 'playability' and further more. So guessing that the physics-engine ranges from ground to even above 40.000ft and there are at some point lacking 40-something knots because it doesn't meet and scale the everchanging real-world atmospheric conditions is - I'm sorry to say very unnecessary in any means. And wiki is just not the most reliable source of information. As mentioned above there is quite more to know how these figures were met. Atmospheric conditions, which engine in which state of development, at what weight, how was the speed measured... Guess we have some real things to sort out
  16. Works as supposed to for me. Have you checked the ME if external views are enabled?
  17. Maybe Lex or G_B can share their expertise here - besides from your IFEI data and the feeling we're lacking of in a simulation, do you actually hear the burners in the real thing?
  18. +1 There are so many AAA Games which do have tremendous bugs even in stable and release versions. BTW ED is the most customer-listening and care-taking community/publisher i've ever sticked to. I've never had such transparent information with any AAA title. You just can't do it right for every single soul on the planet. Just my experience
  19. I used to fly gliders quite some years ago and for longer flights had those thingies aboard for 'emergencies'...there are quite some stories about this piece of equipment i can tell
  20. This. Although you can crack it from all sides with the GAU. Just need more time on target and more rounds - which then exposes you much longer to ground-fire. The T-80 and T-90 have much better armor as former MBTs so the effectivness of the GAU is a bit outdated here. Weapons of choice for moving Armor is GBU12 or Mav as said above. Rockets mostly are a waste of money
  21. Guys...be helpful... To the topic starter: please be more specific with your complaint. Maybe post a video or a trackfile. There have been some issues with the radius of the M-61 Vulcan but they were far from making the gun usless. Just hop into a Multiplayer Match and see how some of the Pilots around here shred you into pieces with the gun without any issues. I think a better way of finding out if there is an issue actual is to ask the forums and tell what your own experiences are instead of starting a campaign of complaints based on lacking knwledge. Seems to get state of the art shortly... And please I really don't want to offend anybody but just trying to keep the forums less toxic. When I started here it was such a nice, gentle and helpful place. Happy landings and a continuing climbing learning curve. Peaceout:pilotfly:
  22. I think the question was not about how to get better looking clouds but instead how to set the weather system to get a cool looking cloudy sky. Tough I don't have great skills in setting the right parameters for a cloudy weather system within the dynamic weather settings - i'm quite sure there are some good threads around here, youtube vids and scripts to download in the userfiles section. Main thing would be to select 'dynamic weather' in the ME. Then set at least 2 systems with one high pressure and one low pressure system. Problem is that the standard radius for each system is far too huge and therefore overlapping each other over the whole map. But that's already leading too far by now... Just have a look here: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/search/?tags=dynamic%20weather Here is a very detailed video about setting dynamic weather:
