Right click on the install exec, run as admin. Once installed right click on the shortcut, go into compatibility mode, check the box run as admin. Might want to check the box "Disable desktop composition" for the extra fps... Hope this helps Cheers

;) 4X AA is enough IMO anymore is just overkill, especially in MP with cockpit view only. As for AF, well I have to retry it, had issues in the past with Overcast with rain, FC just crashed (with vista crapiola, now on windows 7). I reverted back to default to resolve the issue in the past, and never looked back. However I'll give that a retry :-)

Here are the results with the Overcast after average 30Min. idle on the tarmac with full graphics on, with mirrors, 4xAA and in window mode. Playable still? Yes, however I would not, with explosions, inside the action I would get a major drop in FPS… What is weird is that this one seems to take less of active memory... I did a test with only Overcast since thats the one that seems causing more issues. I'm on Windows 64Bit Ult. Memory is system managed (I dont recommend playing with VM setting on win 7). Default services. OS is freshly (last weekend) installed. For me it was pretty stable... My system specs are in my sig. Here are my results after 15 min of flight: My settings: I love how windows seven manages his memory. I can't stress enough to let the services for memory management at default settings. Unlike Xp where tweaking memory and VM is almost necessary, but under 7. Not required. Hope this helps. Edit: let me know if you want me to redo the test at different settings. (without changing my windows memory management of course :smilewink: ) Regards,

Thanks EinsteinEP, Thats exactly the symptoms of what I've experienced. However mine while shortly after an air refuelling on a MP session with an F15C. As well, no mods. Clean install, actualy a fresh windows. Haven't tried with single player. Maybe the issue is with MP only. Regards,

I recorded a MP session just to look at the playback; its still cannot record accurately your session, what gives? A bug that follows through from version to version without getting addressed? This needs fixing please. Why implement a feature to record tracks if isn’t going to do its job accurately… That’s my only beef so far. Thanks

Could it be somehow related to mod's? Reason why I'm asking is, since I've re install LO/BS with no mods no modman. I have yet experience a crash. However, crossing my fingers on that one...

Might be due to traces of an old mod as well. Seen weird things happend with patches and mod's in the past... That why I copy the whole directory to another one as a backup before installing modman and mod's. Just in case...

Sorry to hear that. I run it in windows mode, my windows native is 1920x1200, I run BS at 1680x1024. Runs flawlessly. Looks cool as well. You can "chat" on msn while flying, change your music etc...:D However I did disable desktop composition to improve FPS... Regards,

Is it me? Placebo? Seems like in Windows mode, BS 1.02 runs smoother then full screen...

I've installed over 1.01 so far it run flawlessly, however I noted as soon as patch for some reason when I rebooted, I lost my boot loader... weird, no biggy I re install grub, all aok :D Thanks for the awesome patch :thumbup:
