  1. Yeah yeah I get all that. Whatever the reason, no other game has had this issue for me besides DCS. Anyway it's all moot now and working correctly without this tool, when it's run through OpenXR (ever since the OpenComposite came along, and now natively). So all in all, they DID in fact fix it in the end.
  2. I'm really eager. Hoping they're done so we'll see a patch this afternoon. My bet is it's gonna be the first stage of multithreading implementation in this one.
  3. I've had this issue multiple times recently. For me it has seemed to help to: Spawn into cockpit Move your collective axis up to max and then back down to 0/min Proceed with normal start procedure EDIT: Doesn't seem to do it every time, so that's probably not it then.
  4. I'm just saying in general, that when I start DCS and hop into the A-10C cockpit, I get notably less performance than if I hop into an F/A-18C cockpit. Perhaps the A-10C II cockpit could see some optimization to be more on par with the F/A-18C cockpit performance wise.
  5. Any chance the A-10C II has a problem with the cockpit / cockpit textures? I get much worse performance in the A-10 pit than in the Hornet or the F-14 even. I'm seeing roughly 20% less FPS in the A-10C II pit than in the others mentioned. Anyone know if a cockpit mod exists that might help FPS in the A-10C II?
  6. I’m not sure what all this means. I’m sporting a Reverb G2 and have been running DCS through OpenComposite instead of SteamVR. Is OpenComposite no longer needed to run DCS without steam?
  7. Yes, its probably that he updated DCS and now has to redo the changes to missionscripting.lua.

  9. For some reason I get extremely poor performance with this campaign. I've so far only flown the first 3 missions but all of them, even the first one, gave me really poor performance. Perhaps the Caucasus map and/or units included in these missions were affected by 2.8 and are now sadly performing horribly. Anyone else try this in 2.8?
  10. Yes. Turning all shadows off increases performance to roughly the level it was at in 2.7 with flat shadows only.
  11. Just chiming in on the performance drop of 2.8, it's horrible compared to 2.7.
  12. Same here. Both audio glitching and MUCH longer load times. Also when spawning in it takes sometimes up to half a minute before all terrain and cockpit textures have loaded. In general much worse FPS too. This patch made DCS run so so much worse over all.

  14. Thanks Floyd. I actually did replace the UH-60 slots with UH-1H slots. I'll leave the other stuff in, as you said, it looks good and increases immersion. Love the Cyprus setting for this mission. Distances are much better for helicopters and the scenery of Cyprus is really nice.

  16. Also try the "Clear environment data" button to "reset" what WMR has learned about your environment. WMR will then "relearn" and hopefully it will fix itself.
  17. Was this related to the bug where the A2G Gun pipper being off after using GPS weapons?
  18. I think it's been concluded that this is not correct. The resolution displayed in SteamVR when adjusting the resolution percentage slider is not your actual resolution of the panels on your Reverb, as the original image is shrunk and distored to be displayed correctly in the VR set. Setting anything lower than 100% is actually downscaling the image.
  19. Has the F/A-18 radar issues regarding difficulties with detection/lock of helicopters been fixed?
  20. Radar unable to see or lock helicopters. Not in any radar mode (RWS/TWS/ACM/GUN) regardless of PRF setting. This is a pretty big issue and it's not been fixed for half a year now! Any status update on this @BIGNEWY?
  21. Wow this was truly remarkable!! Easy to install! Worked wonders for my RTX 2080 and Reverb G2! The FPS might only be a little increased, but the image quality is better overall and the complete lack of stutters is fantastic!
  22. It may also be that he didn't take the screenshot exactly when this happened. I've seen this happen too, that gun round impact visual effect is not drawn at long distances. It's problably going to be corrected in a patch. Gun round impact visual effect is present at 4km+ range in the KA-50.
  23. Your conclusion seems plausible to me. I also think that last bit sounds like a great idea. I was thinking along the lines of having a special option in the settings allowing for perfect alignment regardless. But your suggestion is better.
  24. Anyone else having even more trouble boresighting as CPG? Struggled last night with this. Usually succeed pretty well as Pilot. I don't know if the fact that the CPG is seated off center to the left from the boresight thingy adds to the trouble. If you get an "off" boresighting at night, I got nauseous because the PNVS/TADS overlay on your right eye does not match up with what your left eye see.
