Hi all, (first of all, Question*) As some of you may know, the server.lua file can be placed in Saved Games\DCS\Config\View\ to be able to preserve settings when DCS updates. However, not all aircraft use it, but instead use their own variant of views.lua in DCS World\Mods\aircraft\module One example of this is the M-2000. Now, I use the somewhat unorthodox method of zoom view in the game, by mapping it to my left toebrake. This enables a relaxed way of zooming without me having to let go of the throttle to adjust the slider on the throttle that many use. For this to work, I have to configure the toebrake axis as a slider. Now, in server.lua I've set the CameraViewAngleLimits = {20.0000,90.0000} which results in "not pressed toebrake" = fully zoomed out, which means fov 90. But as the M-2000 and others uses their own views file it won't work for them. Editing the specific views file in the install dir for those aircraft works, but will not work in MP as it won't pass integrity check. How do I get around this? Suggestions?

This is a bug introduced in the latest patch. I think it's been officially reported through the right channels.

I really hope for this one good and hard. It would increase immersion greatly if we had a more complete ATC/Ground controller system in place.

Loss of control on engine startup
Wizard1393 replied to kelpie's topic in Release Version Bugs and Problems (Read only)
To me this sounds exactly like the licensing / starforce issue many experienced a while back. -
Wow this thread is really long and I can't be bothered to read all the pages since my last post :) Have anyone mentioned trying a different audio driver? This can also be the problem, rare, but not impossible. Also, check your audio output settings. Set it to 16bit 44,100khz if it's not. Anything higher is for music / audio listening and production, not for games. I've had games that had weird issues if sound in the windows control panel below were not 16bit 44,100khz. The dialog looks like this: That MB temperature though seems really high...

Yeah it's not even "really" necessary to be able to "zero" the flight plan. You can always alter waypoints as you wish, but being able to "rebuild" the kneeboard pages with the currently entered flight plan data while on the ground with ground crew access would help tremendously. Any devs wanna comment on this suggestion?

I can't seem to get this right. I assigned the T1 input to trigger first detent and TV to trigger fully depressed. This works with NAV fix taking exactly as described in the manual. But not with Mavericks. Pressing trigger first detent (T1) uncages the seeker and its then slewable. Trigger fully depressed (TV) locks target. But that's it. Pressing T1 to uncage and then releasing the trigger again (T0) does not boresight the Mav. It does not ground stabilize it either. Don't know what's supposed to happen here. It just remains slewable. After accidentally locking the wrong target there seems to be no simple way to unlock it or boresight it the only thing that seems to work is to turn around 180 so the seeker can't see the target any more... no a lot of things with the whole maverick T0/T1/TV switches seem off to me. Is nobody else experiencing this?

Dunno if anyone thought of it, but the absolutely best thing imho would be if you could somehow through the ground crew menu options empty the current flight plan, create a new flightplan with wpts and targets in the computer manually and perform a kneeboard rebuild. This would make the Viggen much more flexible in terms of flying the dynamic mp/sp missions we see alot these days. This is really mainly "gameplay" enhancing, as it off course is much easier and more true to IRL to plan a mission in the ME/Mission Planner

How is having no curve giving you "ultra fast controls"? No matter what curve you have, the hydraulics / control surfaces won't move faster or slower. What is true though is that with a curve, you have to deflect your stick more to reach a certain control surface deflection in game. In my honest opinion, it's not going to give anyone any "superpowers" no matter what curve is used, linear or otherwise.

How to Create a Dedicated Server. 10 Easy Steps
Wizard1393 replied to H-var's topic in Multiplayer Server Administration
Just to clarify, you don't HAVE to set up a dedicated server computer. One of you can just host the session. The only reason to have a dedicated server is that none of your gaming rigs have to do the AI computing, scripting and whatnot, meaning better FPS for the computer who would otherwise host the game. If you're not planning on running large missions with loads of AI units and heavy missions scripts, you'll be fine without it. -
I've this kind of problem a few times through all my years of gaming. In my experience it's often something to do with the HDD/HDD interface. Do you have 2 HDDs connected in your system? You mentioned using only an SSD and a HDD was emtpy. Try disconnecting all other drives except for the SSD and see if there's a difference. This is assuming the OS and DCS is on the SSD off course. Another thing to try if that does not change anything is see if there's updated drivers for your storage controllers on the motherboard.

I'd like this aswell. Cant get anything to spawn? Code is supposed to fetch the ID's in the beginning of the script but nothing happens in Nevada. Works in Caucasus like a charm. EDIT: Ok I worked it out the manual way to find the ID's and got it working. But the spawned flights won't go to the trafficzone. They skip that step. Any ideas?

To hijack this a little. Why not also display both MGRS and LATLON coords, or at least the ability to change between them in game.

Actually guys, this seems to be a bug of sorts. Even if you load 4 rocket pods and no bombs, the system won't use the outer rocket pods. I'm pretty sure the systems SHOULD look at the 4 rocket pods as 2 rocket pods. E.G. you click RK3 and the system fires from all 4 pods. This does not seem to be the case however. I noticed this last night too Blast, and found out that you have to click the empty/clear pca button next to the RK3 button on the PCA to select the outmost rocket pods. It does not seem like this is how it should be though...

Wow lol. I took a breezy flight with the m-2000 a week or so ago and thought, wth is up? Weird bug cause by month of the year...

To my knowledge this is not possible at the moment. A new ATC system is in development however. Who knows what that will bring.

Rotor Anti Ice Keyboard Command Broke?

Why is that?

The BK-90 uses barometric altitude if radar altimeter is turned off. Set the QFE for the target position and you're all set. The target waypoint QFE can be found in the kneeboard. You just have to make sure theres no higher peaks between you and the target on your ingress.

Would love an even more capable A-10C, but to be honest, if they just implemented the long awaited proper FLIR view so we could spot stuff I'd be a happy puppy.

F-5E Dynamic Campaign: Desert Tiger 76
Wizard1393 replied to MBot's topic in User Created Missions General
Awesome MBot! Flew a few missions last night and it worked as intended all the way. After 2 missions DCS crashed due to out of memory (I've got 16GB) while loading up the third mission. Don't know if DCS 2.0.4 currently have a memory leak or your mission "triggers" the leak somehow. Startup times are a bit on the stretch. Most missions will have you spawned 15-20 minutes before takeoff TOT. Max 10 minutes would be more than enough. Nonetheless, extraordinary work! 5/5 would recommend! -
Or, if you have Ukraine on the blue side u can use the IL-78 .

Ah I see. I did not know this. Thanks! Do we have any specifics about exactly what with AI tasking scripts is causing trouble?
