  1. Not necessarily, it could work like the KA-50 ABRIS. Where you 'prepare' the mission and set all these wp In the cockpit and the state is then saved in the mission. Though having the functionality insidr the ME (à la combatFlite) would be much more convenient Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk
  2. I use the ingame kneeboard. Mapped to one of my thottle hat. I use the shortcut function to pin the pages important for the mission Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk
  3. I also get a lot of cut pass. But I really Don't get why. I never hear the LSO say Cut, so I don't know at which point I made a mistake. Also the grading remarks look pretty good overall. SO I don't get why I get a cut pass, on a fourth wire trap with minimal remarks ? What are the condition that result in a cut pass ? Also, does the script handle staying in the patern after a bolter ? After I bolter I climb to 600ft. and then turn left to1.2nm Abeam. Then restart my turn into the groove, I never get LSO calls again. SO what should I do in that case ? reset and then request a straight in approach ?
  4. I am having a lot of Cut pass, I don't get what I am doing wrong ? Is the LSO supossed to say CUT ? because I never hear it, though I here his other instructions
  5. Hi, I remeber a while back, before the F/A18 was out, that Wags said he was waiting for updated A2AR basket physics before refueling in a stream. It was a long time ago, have we had any news about this updated basket physics ? Is it still in the works ?
  6. Thanks for the kind words. It is true that if can upgrade with your solution I can still use this as part of a Halloween costume xD Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk
  7. I have purchased a cheap 8€mouse on amazon. and upgraded my glove to be wireless. I is much more pleasant solution ! Next version will have a custom mouse wheel. but this will need a complete rebuild :)
  8. Omg, don't be so pedantic. What is the date of your manual ? As other said it might be that AB take off was prohibited at a later date ... Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk
  9. You don't need to convert while you fly in one system. And there is full fidelity eastern aircraft : the MIG21 & mig15 & MI8 &L39 & yak52 .... Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk
  10. If your wing are folded the nWs hi is a toggle. Otherwise byou need to keep the button mreszed Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk
  11. 1.5 will never receive updates, it is dead man ... Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk
  12. Thanks I will look into it Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk
  13. Thanks Baltic dragon. But the page I am talking about in the MI8 kneeboard is only in .Lua I think there is no image. And if I could skip the creating of the image it would make creating quickly a kneeboard page with just a simple checklist quite easy. Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk
  14. Yeah the fixed schedule, on update, stable update, is not great Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk
  15. No, makes no sense, radial are always given as a bearing from mag North. Whatever is the ship course How could the pilot know what is the current ship BRC if the ship is turning? There is no aircraft instruments capable of giving this information Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk
  16. I think the functionality is already there in DCS. But I don't know of any tutorial or resources to do that Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk
  17. Hi All, I use the kneeboard a lot, but so far I always added images to my kneeboard & used the kneeboard builder app to convert .pfd files. And I am bit intrigued by what we can do with kneeboards & Lua scripting. THe Mi-8 startup kneeboard comes to mind. I looked into the files for this kneeboard, I could't find an image. So I assume it has been created by a script ? So could I write to script to have my own checklist, with the same formating as the Mi-8 kneeboard ? Thx
  18. Yep, I have ordered a cheap wireless mouse. On Amazon will try to make the thing wireless Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk
  19. Unfortunately it is impossible to use a modifier with btn assigned in "UI layer" :/
  20. Hi It has been a very long-standing issue. I can't believe ED haven't fixed this yet. I play VR and uses the kneeboard a lot. I recently (re-) discovered the shortcut function, which is great. But in the process I notice the total mess that it is across modules. A lot of them don't have the shortcut fonction. Usually older modules. Some have the keys mapping named differently (Mig21) Really this kneeboard stuff should be at the 'UI layer' and not in individual module ... It is quite ridiculous to have to map this a dozen of time for each module ... (Btw: this is also true for all the view settings and other settings common to all modules) Maybe offer a global settings in 'ui layer' that can be overridden by assignment in individual modules. 21. Pics should be back. Not sure why they disappeared
  22. Hi, Flying a lot the F/A18 these days, I came back to the M2000 for the moment. On the M2000 I miss the function to have a function similar to the "CSEL" of the F-A18 (and in general of the American HSI). The RD mode is still not functional it seems. This seems to be quite a basic navigation tool for any aircraft tough? How are you supposed to fly tacan radial then, follow approach charts and align on runway headings ?
  23. Well I would have. But I didn't find an obvious button to act as a modifier. The warthog paddle came to mind; but it is used on the F/A-18C. Plus when you use the MIC switch as a PPT for SRS, you can end up pressing it quite often, pressing the paddle switch at the same time gets old.
  24. Hi all, Some of you know that one of the main problem of playing in VR, is reaching the mouse. Some use a trackball or other solutions. So far I was using my TM warthog MIC switch. (FWD=Left click;AFT=Right;Up=Mouse wheel up;Down= Mouse wheel down; Push = VR Zoom) But recently I have been missing this switch to actualy use it has intended : for communication. So I had to find another way to have buttons for emulating the mouse in easy reach. So I created this monster : It is very simple and very ugly, but so far it works. When/If MilesD releases his finger pointer I am sure this thing will go right to the bin. But for the moment it serves me well. Though, if I could somehow put a 'real' mouse wheel instead of two button it would be better. Because buttons emulating mouse wheel are not handled well in DCS, it makes scrolling often too slow. Or if I could make wireless it would be even better. I might disassemble a cheap wireless mouse and use the internals to make this things wireless. Maybe I could even add a fifth button for VR zoom. Or a 'nipple' pointer to be able to move the mouse around.
  25. Ah, interesting to know! Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk
