  1. 0 curve would be the best if you had a stick of the same length and throw and resistance as the real airplane. But we don't have that ... So we make do with what we have Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk
  2. I have the exact same symptoms as BlueRaven. We usualy play on a localy hosted server, on a mission where carrier is traveling around 18-22kts
  3. Did anyone try to play with Link4A ? (fighter to fighter) in MP ? Does anybody have small set of instruction on how to ? can you tag targets for the other F14 to attack ?
  4. It is quite easy to customise our switches. Some use a dab of hot glue on critical switches. On pots of my button box, I have 3D printed knobs, with different shapes and textures Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk
  5. So you play in the dark ? XD that's a bit creepy. I don't think that a light is a big investment next to the headset Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk
  6. Go with the heaviest spring you have. Even then it will way less than the real plane Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk
  7. As other said , IMO, having your hands in game is really not necessary. Within days you will have muscle memory of were the switches are and that even if not exactly to scale Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk
  8. Hi all, I have questions about the datalink and TID contacts. It seems to me I have sometimes been able to hook datalink contacts on the TID, to get precise range, altitude and bearing to the contact. But I can't reproduce it. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. Should we be able to hook datalink contacts? (no radar track, only bottom of HAFU) and under which conditions? Playing MP in RIO I also had cases where I had enemy contacts, both on the datalink and on the radar in TWS. But it seemed like the top and bottom parts of the HAFU were significantly offset. What could cause this ? INS drifting or bad INS alignement ? Thank you
  9. Interesting, I will try. Most my mission have dynamic wheater and a script that brings the carrier to have 25kts wind over deck. The carrier speed and turning might cause the problem Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk
  10. Hi all, I am thoroughly enjoying the Tomcat with a few friends. We are still on the learning curve. We recently switched to carrier operations. But starting cold on the carrier is quite difficult. We seem to have several bugs. First, for the RIOs their view is swaying around with the waves. Making it difficult to click switches untill the jet starts to taxi. Then, the jets have a tendency to slide slowing on the deck opposite to the carrier travel direction. Causing accidents with parked jets. Then sometimes we seem to have cold cat shot. Or the cat refusing to shoot after salute. Do you also have problems ? Do you have any work around ? 11. Lots of reasons. What mode were you in ? What was the relative velocity with target? Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk
  12. No aspect switch changes DDD relative velocity scale Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk
  13. Hi all, In most of my mission, I have to place a carrier battlegroup. I also have a few triggers to activate scripts, turning the Carrier into the wind and to have a tanker orbit the CV. And add statics units on the carrier I have a template for the carrier. But I have to redo all the actions (TACAN,ICLS) and all triggers to activate scripts with each new mission. Is it possible to create a "template" mission that I could copy and use to start all new missions ?? ALso did any of you had problems with statics units on the Carrier deck,; not showing for clients in MP ?
  14. Really? no one knows ? is this system even implemented?
  15. Hi guys I have trouble with the DECM : http://www.heatblur.se/F-14Manual/general.html?highlight=decm#an-alq-126-decm Manual says that in "Rec" mode RIO should hear audio corresponding to the threat illuminating the AC (A bit like the Viggen RWR, I gues) I could never get this to work ?
  16. There is something wrong in your reasoning. Trick or camera already only lets ir light through. Sunlight is composed of a big mix of wavelengths, including the one used by track ir. You can't filter out the sunlight without also filtering out the track it leds Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk
  17. You don't know how to use it. It can allow you to find contact very far away. Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk
  18. I am impressed, the details you are modeling in this plane is unbelievable. You are real the top dev Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk
  19. I am not sure but I think it is : Red : fast Green : on speed Blue : slow
  20. I can't access the Dropbox link Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk
  21. Someone need to explain to me why a aim7 loses track when guiding aircraft never lost lock Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk
  22. Stupid question, but are you sure you out the WCS in 'on' and not 'standby' ? (Switch on the right of the hcu) Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk
  23. Guys he said he never lost lock ... So can here aim7 still guide even if you switch from PD mode to P during the missile flight? Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk
  24. Seam is. It a radar mode it is just a sidewinder search modr Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk
  25. Well thanks, but we know that .... Have you tried ? The collision symbology in pilot hud seems bugged or difficult to interpret Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk
