would it be possible for DCS to recognize a multi mode switch?
lucky-hendrix replied to upyr1's topic in DCS Core Wish List
That's not true, DCS can have two types of modifiers, a "switch" and "modifiers". The first type is toggle When you press the 'switch' all your controls will go into the 'alternative' mode untill you press again. The 'modifier' is the usual press the modifier at the same that as another button to have a different action Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk -

This function is already built in dcs. You can map any joystick button as a modifier Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk -

I don't understand what you try to do . Either you do a tacan update, but then you can't do it with a moving stennis. Or you do a DL update, bit I believe you can only do this with a friendly F14 in formation with you Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk

Hi all, I have a rift CV1, a GTX1070 and run with PD 1.3 MSAA X2. I have been flying this way for more than a year, and I only fly VR. Once the F14 released I played with a lot of friends, both in the front seat and the back seat. All my teammates fly on different monitors I am the only one in VR. I find that usually I had easier to pick out targets than them, especially in the backseat not the F14, I had to guide the pilot in the target as they seemed to loose sight really easily. Of course seeing other aircraft was never easy, identifying them was almost impossible until very close range (<0.5nm). But I feel it was very doable to keep visuals in the WVR arena (<5nm) However, yesterday I tried a few run of the F14 instant action "constant peg gen3". And for me something changed: I couldn't spot a single aircraft until extremely close range(<1nm) I ran the mission there or four times before even realizing they were two mig23 ! At the start of the mission the mig23 fire almost immediately (about 12nm), I can see the plume of the missile, and barely the smoke from the mig23 engine, as soon as I start to notch, even though I am padlocked on the smoke, I loose sight within 5secs. Once I merge with the mig23 (if I even see it and It doesn't just appears behind me!), I stay padlocked on them in a very close fight. And as soon as they are above me they just disappear against the blue sky ! Like really disappear, I am zoomed in, they are in the center of my view, I see them a few pixels wide, and then, they just .... Disappear, at once, I just see a uniform blue sky ?! I can't pinpoint when it changed exactly, but am I the only one ?? I feel like sunddenly it as changed for the worst and it is borderline unplayable, whereas before it was difficult but still doable. To righ click you need to flip the controller upside down ( palm up) and the laser will change colour. Pretty inconvenient. Anyway using the touch is pretty uncomfortable and useless IMHO there is a lot of better alternatives Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk

It is in the "ui layer" category of the dcs settings Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk

WCS cooling - Actual damage / system implementation?
lucky-hendrix replied to viper2097's topic in DCS: F-14A & B
Hey just a tip for blueflag, Ask the ground crew to first turn ON electrical & Air supply, then asked them to refuel. that way you can start the engines and the whole jet while they are putting the fuel in. You will probably have finished your check list before they have finished to refuel ;) -
TWS auto, TARPS, F14A, LAtirn with Jester, better hook-carrier interactions ... I am sure I forgot things
-
Well it is exactly the same as lgb. But why do you want to use the Latin in that case, as the Dev said above you are better off using computer-pilot mode Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk

Warning to All!!! F-18 warthog flight stick
lucky-hendrix replied to Jason S's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I don't understand how it broke at that point ? You are not supposed to hold the stick at all when unscrewing! I think he tried to unscrew the stick itself resulting in this. You are supposed to only apply torque on the knurled nut, there shouldn't be any torque on the stick ! If anything with a stuck nut you would damage the gimbal, but not the grip !
