Nighthawk and the paper are super clear, there is nothing complicated to understand, just simple math. Nothing prevents this from being implemented in-game, at least partially, which would at least be better than the current method. Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk

"Blah blah, I am right and you are wrong, and I can't be bothered to read the evidence or to think. " That's basically what you said. Please refrain to post Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk

Then they should modify the engine, it is their own engine after all. There needs to be a solution! Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk

Hey, I was thinking about doing the same thing. I have a regular 12V pC fan with 4wires. By controlling on of he wire with pwm you can control the fan. I still have to build a working prototype Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk

What is the state of the FM as of today?
lucky-hendrix replied to bkthunder's topic in DCS: F-14A & B
Thanks for the transparency. As an avid simmer and aeronautical engineering myself I am very pleased you are looking at this simulation with such minutiae. It is too bad you can't create 'ingame' automated tests including the overall simulation. It must be very frustrating to understand what changed on the parts you have no control on. Multiplayer difficulty/challenge for realism by KIA/POW/MIA
lucky-hendrix replied to Fri13's topic in DCS Core Wish List
Do you really think that the same people that are just browsing the server list in MP are the same people wanting super hardcore realistic dcs missions ? No. Those are two different kind of people : 1) the one casualy looking for an online server, that want a challenging environment, bit without too much constraints (e.g. blueflag meets the criteria for most of those people) 2) people looking for milsim level realism. Those people are in squadrons and virtual wings. It doesn't mean a single person cannot change from category 1 to 2 depending on mood. But those are Very different things. OP suggestions is trying to implement restrictions fitting to category 2. In category 1.it won't work Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk -
Multiplayer difficulty/challenge for realism by KIA/POW/MIA
lucky-hendrix replied to Fri13's topic in DCS Core Wish List
That's what I say, it is pointless to run that kind of stuff in a public server. And if you have a private event nothing prevents you to implement these arbitrary rules trough moderation or other means. It is pointless to ask ED to implement such things when they can be created by the community in events. Just a waste of ressources Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk -
Multiplayer difficulty/challenge for realism by KIA/POW/MIA
lucky-hendrix replied to Fri13's topic in DCS Core Wish List
This is a stupid approach. If you want more realistic mission/behaviour you need to fly in organized events with like minded people. It will never work on a public server. Never. It has been tried in a bunch of games. It never works. A private or inscription only event, you can take it as hardcore as you wish Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk -

About 50% 50% I wish I had more time to commit to a real squadron doing proper carrier ops. But my job &life don't allow me enough time. So I just make casual F14 CAP flights ok blueflag. I don't push for the kill, I just hang out over the defended objective, sometimes I end up with a few splashs. Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk

Just so you know, jetseat has absolutely nothing to do with ED, software is based on export function script and actually a lot of it is missing making for some discrepancies (e.g. engine rumble linked to rpm gauge rather than actual rpm). All of this Ork is attributed to f410 & Andre Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk

How can i turn on Lantirn flying without RL RIO as pilott in mp
lucky-hendrix replied to hreich's topic in DCS: F-14A & B
It is not implemented yet, that's it ... Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk -
You know you can Click the comm menu ?? That's how it do it. It is kind of bugged if you check the 'use mouse' options. But it works fine without. If anything I would like a rose like jester that you can use with just a single button and look at the required options Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk

It will stay in place you look at the button you want to activate. You can assign left & right mouse button in "ui layer"control section to joystick button. No need to reach for mouse anymore Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk

If you unchecked use mouse it will pin it to the centrrcof screen much more useful IMO Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk
