  1. The Mod works fine but visibility is really limited due to both cockpit frames being visible.
  2. Thanks, B.D.
  3. I guess that was too obvious for me. Thanks, I'll give it a bash.
  4. I need to have two UH60s land near a convoy that has encountered an IED and pick up casualties. Based on my researching the forum, I attempted to accomplish this by setting the advanced waypoint and having the group HOLD and ORBIT at 0 kts, 0 alt. However, the aircraft hover at 50 feet or more. I can't get them any closer. I have set the duration for 2 minutes...which is working. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Please excuse my English....it is my first language....I just ain't any good at it.
  5. No....you were right the first time. At least if you overfly your target, you know what to expect.
  6. I have attended training sessions given by Reaper and he has always conducted himself in a very professional manner and has demonstrated a great deal of patience. The training and his conduct is a credit to himself and the TAW group. He clearly wants his students to succeed. No, I am not a member of TAW and have been a guest attending the training. I look forward to the remaining classes and thank him for his time. I feel compelled to defend him out of a sense of gratitude. I think he's being treated harshly.
  7. If you are struggling, one thing to check is to be sure your joystick is properly calibrated. If your stick is off slightly, the trim system will respond as though you are inputting control when you aren't. You can guess how I found that out.
  8. Check your TASK MANAGER (CTRL, ALT, DEL). It will tell you what you have running. I mean, you guys have pretty much solved the issue....I just needed an excuse to show off my new kick-ass avatar and signature.....
  9. My Warthog has been plugged in for over a year. I never turn my computer off. I've had no issues (that weren't due to my own stupidity). If my Warthog was stolen from me today.....after hunting the dirty dog down and making him say, "Mommy." I would buy another as soon as possible.
  10. Fantastic mod. IMHO it brings the BS cockpit up to the current standard regarding detail and realism. It's a must-have as far as I am concerned.
  11. Thank you, Reaper
  12. Very informative posts. Is there general agreement that there should be at least one wingman that sets up behind the rest of the flight to watch for threats? If so, is there a particular pattern or scan of the area that is executed? Are there particular tactics or strategies in setting up the remainder of the flight? I'm assuming you need to be able to watch and support each other. However, as stated previously, a lot of that depends on the type of cover that is or is not available. Maybe I'm over thinking this. Thinking is not my strong suit.
  13. "Finally, due to your lack of defensive systems, think of the Ka-50 as an infantryman or a sniper." In many scenarios, that may be the best summation of tactics I've read..... It is very different than approaching an AO in fixed wing. It has been quite an adjustment for me.
  14. Most of the instruction I've read or seen in videos actually describes your way of trimming. It's what works best for me as well.
  15. The trim is tricky until you get the hang of it.
  16. In the event you haven't seen this.....its worth watching a couple of times....https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aH4tSiU7TCE
  17. From my point of view......the mission is action packed......a lot of fun......based on real world events......and if that's not enough for you...........the reward at the end.
  18. Another vote for PSU.....
  19. I see in real world photos of the KA-50 that the cockpit glass is heavily tinted (green). Would that be difficult to mod for the external view of the KA-50? Would that be part of a skin template? Forgive my ignorance.
  20. Excellent.....
  21. Great...thank-you.
  22. Thank you for the quick response...everyone.
  23. Regarding radio protocol, is it pronounced as a word or are the letters spoken individually?
  24. I have viewed videos where AH-64 pilots are firing Hellfires (who hasn't?). I noticed that there are situations where no radio transmission was made before firing and then I've heard where the phrase, "Weapon away, " was used before firing a missile. During MP I have heard some guys use the term, "Rifle." What is the proper terminology that is used by American helo pilots when firing missiles?
