RESOLVED: The source of the issue lay in my Realtek equalizer settings. After playing around with different settings I was able to fix the issue. I can't seem to replicate the issue using my original settings.....but I'll take the result. Thanks to all who gave me your time. Much appreciated.

The sound does not occur if I turn IN-COCKPIT down to zero. Below is a DL link to a video with World turned down to zero. You can hear there is more to the sound. I absolutely agree. I won't be purchasing any 3rd party products until they are complete.

I have a support ticket filed. I hope they can come up with something.

Is there a way of reducing or eliminating the "wind" noise in the cockpit? It is very annoying and not very realistic. I tried changing the name of the sound file "Canopy" but it didn't change anything.

I reinstalled the module but it is still making that noise. It must be something with my PC but it isn't making that noise with any other module.

I know that doubling up on the four small springs will reduce tension. What would happen if you removed those springs entirely?

A video showcasing a mission or two would serve not only as a recruiting tool, but it would give anyone who is interested in joining a squad a look to see if it something he would like to participate in. A guest appearance doesn't always give you an opportunity to make a fair appraisal of a group.

Serious. We wouldn't be getting streams if it was about to be released. The purpose of the streams is to keep the "natives" from getting too restless. I don't mean this as a criticism of ED...they want it released more than we do. It just seems like there are too many issues that aren't close to being solved.

Watching the streams, its apparent that there is a huge to-do list for ED. I wouldn't expect its release until next year.

Does TAW have any videos posted of their missions? It would be nice to see how your group operates.

I don't know if its related, but it happens when the blade angle hits 11. Is there a sound file that engages at that point?

Yes I've done a repair. I have the Open Beta installed and it does the same thing there. My sound drivers are up to date. It's mind boggling.

I'm using Windows 8. I am the sole user with Administrator rights. I can't copy the files into the AVIONICS zip file. I get a message, "File not found or not read permission." Any suggestions?

My MB is GA-Z97X-SLI Durable. I'm using on board sound. I've played around with the sound levels...no joy. It's the only aircraft that does this.

This is occurring in both my primary install and the open beta. It's driving me crazy. Does the primary install and the open beta share any files? I wouldn't think so but I'm obsessed at solving this. The sound is so much like static as a constant hissing.

I tried that. I don't think it's related to the radio. It doesn't happen while sitting on the ground. Once you become airborne it occurs.

I've renamed those files but it hasn't changed anything. I've also installed Devrim's English Cockpit Mod but that isn't showing up either. I'm missing something.
