@zaelu: we do know how critical it can be to break a promise for the community and for the reputatiin of any company. Therefore we do approach some processes way diferent. We arr not going to produce anything that has a release percantage below 51%.I do not want to go to deep in license talks and with whom we do exactly talk but I decided, do to the fact that this lice se stuff can be a long and exhaustong process, to approach the companies before we really start a project. Some of them answer fast and some take more time or reject at first but then you have some phonecalls here and there, and things get rolling again. Not to stumble into some interfearance we also see what we can get a license for from ED. So in basic I can say, that last month was a lot of administratove stuff which will increase in a few weeks again before christmas. All together Last month we had talks with 5 mature players in the airplane and helicopter industry. I addition I solved the lack of information for the ho229 and I am happy that I got it solved, cause if somebody tells me it can not be done I try to prove different, which even braught a surprise to me last month ;), but you will figure in a near future. So in basic that is it for now on update info untill december. We will defenately stay with rotarys, that is for sure, but we also have fast fixedwing in planning. I will decide very careful though what I will release in december or not. I hate to ive out promises and not to keep them. So I hope this little info is sufficient for all of you for now Cheers Sven

Well all I can say is, wait for the christmas update we have in planning. We have already new stuff in our pipeline and awaiting answer from here and there. I do not like to give a full list on what we started working on, but I guess we will reveal some of it. Right now we press to get the first module out to have some financial background to produce the other modules we do plan in a reasonable time. All I can say is, we love what we do and love the planes we want to bring to life. Maybe some hints are the interviews, who knows :music_whistling::book::joystick:

It will happen, soon do not worry ;-)

Hi, simple answer to your question is, that we have not made a decision about a civil version yet. We will decide as soon the Viviane Hot is published. There will probably follow an update later too which might expand the model itself. But again, no choice is made yet. Further info around christmas I guess. cheers Sven

Well yes I talked to some of my channels in the industry It would have been awesome yes. But the Comanche is no real final attack helo. Here you have to keep in mind that it never entered a combat ready status. Maybe after our christmas update more questions will rise as I am in close contact with management of Panavia and some other Aircraft manufacturers at the moment too. I guess the christmas update will be a huge surprise for everybody and people will appriciate what we will come up with in the future

We Polychop Simulations (pat01) programmed it with direct responce of real helo pilots of any kind and at least 4 real frensh gazelle pilots. The names have to be kept secret. That was the agreement we had with them.

Not just a tester ;) Lead 3d artist fits the specs a bit closer.

Hi guys, I really have to thank the guys(pilots) who helped us getting her done right. It is a blast to ride her at 3m altitude cross country and buzzing cars at streets. My first impression was that a helicopter can not be that agile but eventually she is. I had a little conversation with a team member and she flys like the real deal if you do not alternate the curve in the axis. So well I got back into the cockpit. Replayed a couple of times the start up mission. Ok , now I had been confident to fire her up. I have to state here that I had hands on her the first time 4 days ago. So I think my experience will be similar to any other person who flys her the first time now a days. So there we go. First the startup. Mission was set to dawn to gain some nice screenshots. The sounds were already nice. All lights were set. Strobe was working fine. Engine rpms looked good. Well, rotorbreak up and throttle up. Trim, gyro, pitot heat and a few other systes activated. ADI adjusted in one of the final steps. Ok. Cheking sounds again. Well time to lift her for the first time. Rudders to the right a bit and lift I had to remind myself to go easy on the inputs, cause she is a light scout and I was lucky doing so as I figured later on. Ok, well I thought fly her first and get her stable to get a feeling for rollrate and pitch. First I cruised for 5 min at 300+ m and checked rollrate. I figured why one of the pilots who gave us input on the flightmodel said, "never use full stick movement!" I nearly spinned out of control. Recovered her after 100m alt loss. Ok Sven, you just experianced that this helo is a complete different deal than the ka50. Well it weighs only 1/8 of it. Ok stay easy on the stick and all will be fine. Next pitch. Also impressive but you have to keep constant pressure on the blades as i figured. Nick was well similar to roll and i went into a spin. From which i could not recover. . Ok, now this lady got me by my balls. She will not master me, I will master her ! So again I gave it a try. All the same like before. Now i flew a few turns at higher alts. As soon i felt comfortible with the input sensitivity i decided to go low and buzz a street. Well at the beginning 230km/h seemed super fast do to the fact that this huge window gives you a good front view. Ok. It took not long and I started to buzz cars and saw altitudes of 3m average on the clock. After the highways cut short i hammered into krymsk and passed buildings just a few meters of my rotoredge. Sometimes the ground effect and the pitch in combination nearly got me killed but well, you can get used to it fast. As soon you know what you have to take care of and pay attention to you can really start to enjoy the agility of this little beauty. So well next was a landing. Total different deal. Do to the fact that she is so sensitive you have to be super carefull on hover or slow flights. Now it was done. All stages of first flight were tested. I was enjoying so much and forgot the past four hours. They went by within no time. Ohh what is also a super nice effect, the blades do flap and bang on pressure so in corners you habe some nice fesling of pressure immersion. I hope we can all share this beauty soon and enjoy her in multiplayer all together. From my point of view, she really is a funbird. I wish you all a happy halloween and soon I will probably read your first impressions. Cheers Sven

Sorry, no comanche, although it could be interesting. We will not get a permission for her and i am not getting access to the info of her and even if i would, i got the message back, that all data about her that would be needed is classified

HORTON Ho229 v4+ by Polychop Simulations
borchi_2b replied to borchi_2b's topic in Polychop-Simulations
Yes it looks like there is enough data available/ negotiating right now to get it printed from microfilm -
I we can get enough info on the tow system we can see what we can do and if the roof/top down function would be possibile to be programmed too Maybe someone who worked with this weapon can pm us and we can talk through it and see what we can do. That is the only suggestion for the TOW at the moment.

No picture is seen. Only a broken picture is there :-( But the speculations are interesting. Keep in mind that we are producing not only airbus, so there are some fixed wings planned and also other rotorheads ;-) For now I can say that I am happy. What and why I can not reveal at the moment but you will see for yourself soon ;-) take care and have a nice weekend Sven

HORTON Ho229 v4+ by Polychop Simulations

Hi guys, a little update for the people who are interested in that particular plane. I had a phonecall yesterday and I will receive further info on the process to acquire a huge load of info on that plane. I can happily announce that we could find an information source that has supposedly all data available on this beauty and is definitely a reliable source which will be stated withing the product itself and on our homepage, as soon we will reach a certain stage next year. I guess till the end of the year the info might be inhouse. I hope at least that it will be that case. Sven -
Yes another Interview :-) we had a couple of requests and contacted them during thelast weeks as we found some sparetime to give them interviews. Unfortunately not all of them answered back. So this is for now what was interviewed at the moment. Maybe one more might follow, depends they write back to us Take care

To cut the discussion here about Ed and the price A short word from us. The price itself is not dictated by ED. The evaluation of the model will propose to us what could be a reasonable price for the market, which is a meer help from ED . I hope this gets this discussion about price tags out of the threat again. Thanks for your comprehension Sincearly Sven

The cockpit will be fully animated/ clickable.

HORTON Ho229 v4+ by Polychop Simulations
borchi_2b replied to borchi_2b's topic in Polychop-Simulations
Hi everybody, I do read fears about the flightmodel quite often here. We still will try to produce a plane that will behave like the original did or would have behaved. We got some address and a good hint on some info that I already started to pursuit. The documents have not arrived yet but I contacted another source last week, but do to the fact that we are into the Gazelle release at the moment, I did not focus to much on the HO229 lately. I try to see the upcoming week if the guys I contacted last week are able to help out or want to helpü out. Will see. What I figured is, that there are informations available on the exact airframe and how it behaves. Many ways lead to rome guys. Nevertheless, I wish a happy weekend Sven -
HORTON Ho229 v4+ by Polychop Simulations

Hi Guys, a little update on that project. We received some help and some good advices to collect real data on the Horten. We are about to get over 300 pages of declassified paper soon too. We will evalute them and decide in combination if we have a good source of info or not. I will also try to contact some institution soon too, cause there should be real life data available in some way. If we can manage to get enough info on the flightbehavior and what it should be, we will probably proceed with that beauty. Untill then it is still on hold. I guess during the first quarter of the Year 2016 we will decide about the fate of this project. Sincearly Sven -
Any bird would require a clearance from Airbus ;-) So no helo of the Airbus company is really rulled out
-
As stated before, we are in negotiations with Airbus, also about a 3rd helo. Which one it will be, might be disclosed withing this year. We have to see how well negotiations go and if we get a clearance for this beauty, as many obstacles have to be taken. What I can state is, that the 3rd one will be of thier current production line and is not outdated like an aluette. Further infos will follow before christmas I hope or around that time when we will see how far we got with everything else and if we are ready to make any official statement on nb3. I hope this helps you guys a bit Sincearly Sven

About projects of other teams, we do have the policy to not disrupt the projects of other teams and offer help to them if they ask us. So I think it is a clear statement on the VEAO NH90 project. Sincearly Sven

Soon there will be an update. We are working hard on many fields of Polychop Simulations at the moment and are getting closer to a final product every day. Most of the time the little details that produce outstanding work, do take a lot of time. That applies to 3D and programming. Cheers Sven
-
Little update on the last 3d unit that need to be done within the next few weeks. The head of the fist pilot, including the complete helmet is done. I decided, thanks to some real world pilots, to improve the helmet a bit and give you guys the opportunity to put your own squad badge on the helmet. This might be interesting for squadrons. The picture shows some texture and notmal work that has been done already. I hope to finish the mainbody area this week and proceed to the combat vest. So you see, alot of stuff left. At the moment we focus to get that one pilot finfished so we can place it into the helo soon. The final will have to different pilots. Pilot in command and the weapons operator. cheers Sven
-
About the animations, this is not the final result. It is still WIP as we just thought to give you a little update on some progress. We have many thoughts on animations for the pilot too. For now we have no final decision on the pilot animations in total but you can expect some basis animation. We will test for sure, what will be able to be produced and then decide what we can include into the modul. Cheers Sven

@flyer49: :D well we thought about what could we do different. Fragger and I decided, give him a beard, cause everybody can do without :-) and he gets a little frensh touch. At my workingplace, 85% of the frensh guys do have some sort of hair in their face, from a talibeard to 5 uncut undefined pieces of something underneath thier nose. The weapon system officier probably will have some hair too. Will see. What is sure, both will have a different face :-) @frantzlebOcher: The iris could even be bigger in RL then what you see or way smaller. In a cg video I probably would animate the iris as the visor goes up and it would get smaller. But as this is just a test for texturecolor, do the animations look crappy and the iris is going to stay as it is. What I added though is a fake reflection to the eye, cause alot of people forget about such a little detail and wonder why in the end it looks just not right ;-)
