Dear Mr Hawkeye, Thanks a lot for your letter to my person. Lately I made the way to a doctor. The doctor reshaped my eyes so now there is no more stare possible. I asked my family and friends and all were unsure who is the new family member. The reason of my eyes looking so odd is simple. On the last gazelle training course for upcoming combat pilots, one of my fellow students intended to have a very fast autorotation. Result was that we did hit the ground hard and fast. Unfortunately i was already staring in shock and awe so the result was, cause of that hard hit, that my eyelids were blown back and forth. Now that caused the stare. After finally having an appointment with my doctor i managed to have a surgery. Now i am able to smile again and look like a human again. Lets not talk about the gazelle of that incident. If you think my eyes looked bad, ha, you should have seen the helicopter. It looked like it was flown inverted like a cruise ;) Sincearly Your captain blinky

Yes the headmovement is linked to your own viewdirection. Same for your multicrew copilot

@quigon: ASSTA-3 , TOYOTA No matter which plane you build. Biggest hurdel to take is always the information side. As stated before we have the ties to the recent info. In which way needs to stay classified the same way as ASSTA-3 is in some aspects.

@sirscorpion: Thanks a lot for you comment. We have no idea what other teams produce in thier backyard. I can assure you that we also have the links to the most modern versions. In which way and how this needs to stay classified, I am sorry. But we are bussy on many fields at the same time and keep some of our work in the background cause we do not want to distract from current developments either or put hypes on projects that are far from finish. I hope this also makes sense to all of you out there. We wish you all happy landings and happy flyings

Hi Belsimtek team, this module looks superb. I like the detail and today I took her for a first spin. The FM feels very good. Now I have a new toy to learn and what did my brain tell me about it. The old glory fighter days are back like in the 50ties and 60ties. Thanks a lot for making the choice to produce an iconic plane of the fighter age. see you in the virtual or real skys ;-)

Is this module worth buying at this time?

@some1: can you give us an expertise for your assumption ? -
Low fps in 1.5.3 compared to Belsimtek UH-1D

Hi everybody, we will check the solution you guys found there. If this is the solution and can be fixed the way it is describd we will do so ad it will be included in an update. Give us a bit time to check all bugs we have noticed ourselfs and important stuff the community has figured. What you can be sure is the fact that we try to solve issues that are found, as allways. -
Hey strut, take care. Hope we will talk now and then in the 229th maybe? Just pm me there or here if you like ;)

Hi Strut, looks nice. You fly them in squad ?

ok, for all and also for understanding the posting of Phil. At some point after nearly 4 years of development and I would say, hunderts of hours of real pilots testing the product, we have to make a cut at some time and talk to the real pilots and ask them what they feel abouit the fm now after we corrected it in terms of thier intial report we received. It is not of use to keep pounding the gazelle endless because some source, forumposter says he feels it might be or is off in his opinion, but has nothing then just an impression that is not backed up for us by facts like for example 1300 hours in the real helicopter. If anyone can prove he has better knowledge about the fm how it should feel like, then a pilot who flys that helicopter as dayjob in real for over 10 years now and can state that this is not correct what the real pilots gave us as feedback, then this is something we might concider after we have validated the background of the information. So if the pilots we work with say, this is exactly what this helicopter feels like and how it flys, then that is the best resource besides numbers of windtunnel data we have from NASA. If they tell us little details need to be changed here or there again, we will probably do, but for now we had no review yet, which Phil will try to get for us if possible soon. Plus, we can simulated the rotorhead 1 on 1 for you guys, no problem, but then you run nothing else on your pc at the same time then the realtime calculation of the rotorhead, which will not happen. So at some point, everybody has to acknowledge that this is only a sim/game, not the real helicopter and that this software is capabale of awesome things, but always with sacrafices on the other hand, so we still try to give you the best solution that is possible, but when we feel it is finsished, then it is finished. This post might even sound rude, to some people, but please see it as constructive as it is and maybe it is clear what I want to say, although english is not my first language.

do not worry, I do not take it as insult ;-) and now :pilotfly::joystick::pilotfly:

Between 6 - 10 times per minute, which makes me human I guess :D

nice try, but I state it here now, I will never go for anyone on this planet to a plastic surgery. If I do it ever, I will have a medical reason for it. :pilotfly:

to have any chance to identify the issue we need all system specification from you and all mods you run in the background. thanks for helping us to help you

hey, i tested the groundeffect in an easy manner. 1. lift off 2. hover at about 3m, which would be slightly above the autohover test in your takeoff check in real 3.apply very little collective so that you start to fly up a bit and leave the collective at its position. now you will leave the groundeffect a bit and as you leave it the less influence will occure. you upward movement will slow down and at a certain point you will go back down if you do not touch the collective. the groundeffect will have you slowed down like a cushin and you will bounce up and down all the time till you change the collective and counter it. The groundeffect has about one disc diameter, so at about 10m altitude you should experience about 0 ground effect

Hi, this is defenately a retreating bladestall effect. When you look at the speedindicator you hit the 300km/h mark there in your dive very quick. The blades of the SA342M are limited to about 285km/h, which is a number of the manufacturer. The SA342M is not able to go 300km/h and it is also douptable that she will go 285km/h. The max speed we have as info is about 240 - 260, which implies a save flight. In an overspeed you will start to roll and eventually die if you do not prevet to recover from your overspeed soon enough or tryy to recover before the overspeed actually occures. I am not sure how the uh1 would behave, but it is also a different helicopter and a different product, not made by us, so i will not judge if it is correct or not how she behave, cause i also have never attampted to overspeed her. I try to fly in the limits, always, cause that is how the real deal would be flown too.

I like the video of the serbian gazelle doing a loop. Looks just like my loop in it. I personally also do not think that a forum should be any place of insult. Showing facts ok. Sometimes that can look like a start of a fight. As we have stated always, we try to bring you as close as possible. If someone wants to fly a gazelle like the real deal, i do fear that you have to buy a gazelle in the end, causd this game, simulation will always stay a game or simulation with its limits. We make the effort to work with real pilots exclusivly, cause this is the best source you can get next to flighmanual or any data from the manufacturers or even NASA. I can only state that we make our homework always and try to solve the issues that are identified as such. Some stuff might not be an issue but pilot error. Happened to me also, as we are all just humans. I hope this topic is not heating up anymore cause what I can state to everyone, we are reading the postings, good and bad postings, and sometimes, I guess I can speak for every developer in the world, it is hard to read how inadequate people post and how close it sometimes gets to an insult, which is not an issue of this forum exclusivly. Just think of the fact, that after such a long development time, we do not want to have wasted our time on the product and produce garbage. Expect changes to the fm. I am eagerly waiting for the ED update and hope the changes are included. I can state that she feels great and is worth the wait. You will see different updates during the year and the fm might change in little details here and there again, but for now, what i can say about the new fm updates that are to come, she is very close to be finished. So I hope you will all enjoy your freetime. Cheers P.s.: all the bashing happened to others before and made them quiet. I can understand the medal of communication from both sides and it is a thin line which can be broken from both side easily too. We should all look at that in my honest opinion.

The yaw effect you show there is indeed very possible with a fenestron tail. if you push full left or full right you can spin like a rollercoaster. The point is, we do have real pilots in our dedicated testerteam. starting from private pilot licenses through military pilots, AB212, AH64D, ch53, bo105, UH60 and the frensh guys flying the gazelle, plus a few british gazelle pilots. Just wanted to name a few models the guys fly in real to give you a little insight, that we made our homework, plus new pilots are awaited during this year that fly ah1w or ch47f, depends on thier timescale. So please, just because you can do a forward flip in the sim, it does not mean it is not possible in real life. When you watch the red bull demo of the bo105 very closely you see that he nearly makes a forward flip in a few occasions. the flightphysics of a helicoper stay the same in big or small. just to rremind, rc helicopter have the same physical laws applied and the same tech behind it and they can do forward flips too. so please take into account that in real, nobody will ever do what most people try to do in the sim, but it can or is still correct in the fm and could be done in real. The changes done on the fm have the background of real gazelle pilot inputs. One of them has 1500 real flighthours on the gazelle, but he never attampted a forward flip EVER, although it would be physically possible cause before the rotor would break in flight, everything else would break, including the pilot.

Hi, we do not share specific info on this, as many can imagine why. We have a very specific plan what we share when and why. Right now, there is no further news that we think of are valuable to anybody outside of the development team. I am sorry to say so. This is no definite No Go or Go, just a change of policy of handelling some specific topics, as we have learned our lessons during the last weeks in many aspects as developing team. And by the way, there is still a lot to read about the gazelle and an update is happening soon too ;-) and new weapons want to be delivered to the battlefield cheers Sven

None of us will be there on saturday unfortunately. Friday one of us will be at the show.

nice, I really like the desert storm skins

@fire: thanks for the info,

Nice job on the textures there. Also the pilots came along nice. Thanks for sharing and taking the time to enjoy and play around with the skins there. I defenately will download some of them as they are all great. I personally like the desert storm once the most. Damn it, now only a iraq map is missing.

Yesterday bryan and I flew on the 51st, so yes now and then you might stumble into some of us :)
