@dotChuckles Thanks for your linking. It was a blast to read your article, as it was about the same for me, although I had all set up for a carreer in the GAF and even my grandfather took care of such career long before he died and I was still little. Back then I did not know that he had contacts the our air force command. For me it was not the medical that was the issue, for me it was the policy of our country, how they treaded the people at the frontline and orders were made, which I figured during my mendatory service. I always thought being a soldier would be different, but well, I also figured that only spec ops or Pilot would come into count. Today I do work in a different enviroment, which is also fun. But what you wrote about the sim, that go you going and was the top notch sim for you in your childhood reminded me of my top notch sim. For me it was Janes F15. I flew so many hours in that sim, boy, my mom sometimes did not get to see me for a whole day. When I cam home from school, after homework, I even sometimes told firends, that I do not have time for soccer cause there was a mission that I needed to fly. Reading your posting and memorising my own childhood, about all that flying and all the pilots that became friends when I was underage, people I admired and still admire today and remember well, makes me think of us flightsimmers being nerds of our own kind in a fancy enviroment that even inspired people to fly to moon and bejond. Thanks for posting it, and well, maybe some time soon we can make grownup boys happy again. But that is linked to some important factor that I try to solve in January, as christmas is here and the people in charge are on hollidays by now. I figured that the Tornado has a huge fanbase in Europe. I always concidered the Strike Eagle being my bird and supperior to the Tornado. But as an GAF general told me when I was 17, the Tornado slices through the thick, bumpy, low level air like a hot knife through butter and only the F111 would match that performance in the NATO stock. Cheers Sven

@pilot_ike: hey I know that squardon badge you have there very well

:D NH90 has a new surname ? Never heard it before but interesting. Well lets see, so many specualtions, maybe a poll would help to see which one the community would like to have and check which one we are negotiating ?
-
only hint I can give is, that it is an Airbus Helicopters product :-)
-
Well about low and moving mud, the tornados were supposed to get new engines. I can not tell which, cause I remember it was some sort of classified or not really, but there were plannings to exchnage the engines and get new once which are in use with a different plane at the moment. the increase of power would have been like the followed stated. the old full ab thrust would have been equal to the dry trust of the new engines. now imagine the full ab of the new engines, plus the tornado would stand the structural stress. I guess no plane would match that in low level ever but in the end politicians thought it was to expensive.

Öl = beer in swedish. Well for some germans beer is thier oil for living, which makes them run proper ;-) That is how the ring closes and starts to be round ;-) Just the spider and the balls are missing in that equation

Any real Tornado Pilots or WSOs out there that would like to PM me? Ahh I forgot, a good friend of mine flew Tornado and Mig29g. Hmm should I call him since this little questioning threat started ;-) ? But I feel that the Tornado has a huge fan base :-) Read you guys on Christmas Cheers Sven

Soon ;-)

Well in an overall general answer I have to answer yes and no, as before stated. What I can tell you though is one fact. When you talk to people in that bussiness you have to know how they think and what it is all about. If you feel unsecure, let somebody else to the job of talking. First entry is the win or loose situation. But it depends on the company and the person on the other side too. Some are easier to handle then others.

What real A10c pilots think of the DCS a10c is easy. I talked to one of the National Guard guys that fly the a10c and his smile and response that it is about the be the real deal, besides some electronic warfare, which is supposed to get close to the real deal too, mad me think positive of thier opinion about the DCS sim ;-)

@StandingCow: All of your questions can be answered with yes and no. It depends on the manufacturer. I will not go into any specific details on any license negotiations. sorry to say so, but I can not and will not share bussiness internals to you or any other person outside our company or to anybody who is not involved in the license negotiations. Therefore I have to answer with yes and no. Sorry to say so. Cheers Sven

Hi, ok, first this topic here states 3rd Aannounced helicopter speculations. Panavia Tornado family is not a helicopter, otherwise the officials I talked to of the company would have told me that it is a VTOL and well, anyhting about the Tornado will be stated in a different topic. I can tell you here, which I will state again soon, that I have my contacts and surely talk to the right people for a Tornado product. As I can not see anybody doing the tornado, and knowing from official side about license conditions, that we are on a good track. Let us keep this topic to the helo specualtions. Cheers Sven edit: we will give an update soon, just need to check with Olli and Pat what we want to show. I guess if we agree on some certain news you guys might be blown away on what we work on. Just to state things clearly beforehand, we will try to only make official claims on modules if we are getting the license form the planecompanies, or if it looks super promising. Do to the fact that I am handelling the license talks right now, I do also know if other companies hold licenses for certain products or not. I am not revealing about other 3rd parties but I can tell you, I have talked to all the big players in the bussiness and have a good picture of what is going on

Hi Griffon, the principals of 3d modelling stay the same in every software. So i recommend you to use a symmetry modifier on your plane body, cause then you only have to do half of the job. 2nd is, i personally hate box modelling i do prefer edge modelling. Maybe you take a short look at different ways of modelling. There are short tutorials of the principals out there. I hope this might help a bit falls du 'fragen hast, kannst auch direkt auf deutsch uns anschrieben. Comanche ;) ist interessant MfG Sven p.s..: she looks a bit like a seehorse

Hi guys, Well here the speculations were made about a 3rd Airbus Helicopters license we try to achieve. We will not make it puplic right away as soon the negotiations are settled. Assume some sort of update in which we might show some of the work that would be done by then. About the mh60, we have thought about it already. We also have had first talks to people of Sikorski but this is not easy at all as it looks like Sikorski is similar like another helicopter producer and does not want to have a trademark being reproduced in a game enviroment. But do to my nature that I do not want to give up, some little door opened on that one a few weeks ago. If such a mh60 would go into production, do not expect the start of this project before 2018, as we have higher priority projects already in negotiations. For now, we are testing the gazelle and finetune here and there. Read you guys on christmas. Cheers Sven
-
Hi gentelmen, You have not seen the gazelle in any update cause we are running an inhouse testphase at the moment to check certain buggs and solve them, cause customers should not be the alpha testers in my, our, opinion. I do have to thank all of you for the positive vibs and it is the engine for all of the team to keep working hard on the moduls and future projects that are still hidden ;-) cheers Sven

I am more into Slipknot "Duality" or Static X "control" . But is not real Metal. Metal would be stuff like Marilyn Manson for me, like "sweet dreams" which is maybe the most popular of him now adays ;-) Nevertheless, this was more a pictures to cheer someonce girlfriend up a bit cause she is having surgery soon. Still have fun guys. Update is worked on hard now. Have a wonderful weekend and enjoy family and friends. cheers

The Team is a bit bigger then only 2 and it will increase in numbers during the upcoming months too. Further info on that via the homepage.

ehh nope. I know the prices and well, no way I can afford that at the moment. If there will be an ILA2018 and it is in budged we could think about it maybe ;-) It is more a friendly meeting with customers and drinking a beer and getting in touch with customers and see what they can say think in basic. In this world, customer care is more important then most people do believe. And I also like to get in touch in person and would enjoy that air show with people that enjoy flight as much as I do. :pilotfly::joystick::pilotfly::pilotfly::pilotfly::pilotfly::joystick::pilotfly:

Hi guys, do to the fact that the ILA 2016 is happening and it is for me a homegame, I decided go there. I am planning to visit the air fair on the open days too, as I guess I will have a meeting there on the bussiness days too and would not have time for interested customers or friends of Polychop Simulations. So if anybody is interested in having a meeting there with some of us I can only offer saturday or sunday on the open days, maybe Oliver can join too. Here is the right place to communicate it prior and I suggest defined meeting points will be communicated via PM. Cheers Sven

After last patch, 27ER's performance is very weak again
borchi_2b replied to Chimango's topic in Su-27 for DCS World
Has anybody checked the Aim7 lately? My wingy and I did 14 month ago. We figured that even the AIM/ had a better PK then any other er27 in the "sim". That is my reason why i Quit flying fighter at the moment although I love it. I am waiting for a good Su27 that has proper missiles which work correct or close to the real deal. Or I am waiting for the f18c. -
Hi, as already stated we are not giving away vital informations. Sorry. What I can say though is, that we talked about the code change too and as it was stated, as soon it is available to us code wise, we will manage to give you multicrew cause it is possible already for the L39, so why should it not be possibile for any other? VAEO have thier own code for the Hawk so we can not take other modules that we have not produced into count, do to the lack of the insight to the other code. If someone says Polychop can not fly to moon, we start to prepare to fly to Mars.
-
chop is originated from chop = chop wood = chop polygons ;-) That is the reason for our logo too, as you can see it is a mix between a axe and a spear head ;-) which is also seen as a delta-wing plane. The letters are designed to fit polygons and also the shape of the logo. cheers Sven P.S.: You are welcome Strut ;-)

@ LeGordian: We are not giving away anything to the community about that particular question. I am sorry. We will announce anything if new to this as soon there is something to present. Even if we knew some time scale it is not up to us to promote such functionality as it is a mature change ED will aquire first. We thank you for your honest comprehension Sven
-
@zaelu: we do know how critical it can be to break a promise for the community and for the reputatiin of any company. Therefore we do approach some processes way diferent. We arr not going to produce anything that has a release percantage below 51%.I do not want to go to deep in license talks and with whom we do exactly talk but I decided, do to the fact that this lice se stuff can be a long and exhaustong process, to approach the companies before we really start a project. Some of them answer fast and some take more time or reject at first but then you have some phonecalls here and there, and things get rolling again. Not to stumble into some interfearance we also see what we can get a license for from ED. So in basic I can say, that last month was a lot of administratove stuff which will increase in a few weeks again before christmas. All together Last month we had talks with 5 mature players in the airplane and helicopter industry. I addition I solved the lack of information for the ho229 and I am happy that I got it solved, cause if somebody tells me it can not be done I try to prove different, which even braught a surprise to me last month ;), but you will figure in a near future. So in basic that is it for now on update info untill december. We will defenately stay with rotarys, that is for sure, but we also have fast fixedwing in planning. I will decide very careful though what I will release in december or not. I hate to ive out promises and not to keep them. So I hope this little info is sufficient for all of you for now Cheers Sven
