Yes but the question is, do you have a problem printing mine? :)

Ef2000. I remember how 3dfx cards made that game run so smooth. That was a cool game. Kind of a dark eerie atmosphere.

Awhile ago someone posted a link to this site that looked like at the time was going to be selling a printed manual. Now going back, they changed the site obviously because of confusion. What it looks like now is they will sell the DVD that will come with a 56 page manual. So that quote was wrong. But there is supposed to be a printed manual comming out.
-
I converted the price to around $55 USD. But then I guess it could be adjusted to the market area like the game was. Still cheaper then the $175, and it will be bound with color hopefully. I checked with Kinko's too and posted here somewheres. If you can't sneak the print off at work it's best to wait. I wouldn't risk it these days either.

Where do you relieve yourself if you have to go? No cheating now. Well I guess since you can't drink brews while flying, you may not have that problem as much. Seriously, I don't mind playing either way. But I don't restrict myself to any one way all the time either. I like the eye candy too.

I hear it changing. I know some of the same issues with sound that Lockon sufferd from seem to be in DCS as well. I still have some issues with sounds too. Especially when respawning. I'll lose my engine sounds, the gear retracting, radio voices and cockpit switch clicks. Some like the engine sound come back by doing the external view and back or by opening and closing the door, but some don't. I'm not sure what you can do to fix your problem other then trying those things. But unless it's a real show stopper for you, I wouldn't worry about it too much or go to too far of extremes to try to fix it.

You can trim while in F/D mode as well. Then turn F/D back off Leave the heading, pitch and bank hold channels on when turning on F/D mode.

the default is the ' key

From the readme1.0.txt

I hear the sound cutting out. Is that the problem? The change in pitch sounds like it's just comming from the different amount of load on the rotors. That's a feature if that's what your talking about.

I'm not running a profile yet. I may in the future, but I haven't found the need as much as in other sims because BS lets you assign so much in the game itself. So I'm running my Cougar in windows mode. Throttle is joy slider1 ( the range dial). Collective is joy z.( the throttle) Not sure why your having a hard time setting things up though. It does it by itself when you move the axis when your assigning one in the game.

I'm may possibly be getting a new machine in the future depending on my situation. Maybe a month or so. That might be another topic all together because I have no clue what to get or build. I kinda gave up on following new hardware when multicores come out. So I got alot of research to catch up on. But I was hoping in the meantime there was something I could do to boost frames. Some missions I get in the low 20's and others like the "Battle" mission it's like 7 because there's so much going on around me. I want to try some multiplayer, but if I get into a busy mission, it would be hopeless.

I have an old Pent 4 3.2 with a ATI 1650 and 2 gigs of ram. It seems I must be the only one trying to run this sim on such an old system. I can get acceptable framerates flying if there's not too many enemies. But most missions at the start really hurt and bring me down to 5-10 fps. I do the best I can to utilize my wingmen to reduce the enemies at the begining of missions before I start to engage them. Which has kept me going through the campaigns. I've tried diffent configurations, but it really seems to be my CPU is the bottleneck, and not the GPU as changing graphic options has only minimal impact. I've edited the files to turn off water textures and effects. Turning off effects helped alot, and was really noticable when hovering low and kicking up dust. I do notice that vehicles still kick up dust though. So I was wondering if it is possible to turn that off as well? Being it helped my fps so much having it off when I kick up dust, and being having many enemies around is the main killer of fps for me, I thought this might have some benifit. Any other suggestions would be very much appreciated.

I thought they were supposed to paint a "X" on the runway if it's not maintained. Or is that only in the US?

A conflict between TIR4 and BS regarding F9 & F12
JDski replied to advent_m's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
You can change the trackIR keys to just about anything you like. Even set them to joystick buttons right in the TrackIR software. Double click on your Blackshark profile in TrackIR software Select the "hotkeys" tab You'll see three change buttons, for pause, center and precision. Click the one you want to change, then press the key or joystick button you want to use for that funtion. Click "ok" and your done. --- I thought you were talking about assigning the TrackIR keys. -
^^ Me too, I got mine set to the range dial. It's nice that the auto position lines right up with the center notch in the range dial too.
-
They work fine for me. Screenshot= Printscreen button - screenshot go to Blackshark/screenshots folder FPS= CTRL+Pause - cycles through FPS and FPS with bunches of other info in yelow

It should be set up to use as default. You may need to hit alt +C to change from the button clicking yellow X to mouse view first? Then the mouse wheel zooms.

Strange engine malfunction - engine vibration?
JDski replied to GreenGriffon's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
Looks like you would have lived if you didn't bail. At least until your crew chief got hold of you. -
I found you can get out of this situation by pushing forward hard on the stick and getting some forward momentum. It feels almost like recovering from a stall in a fixed wing.
-
I think you might want to fly with Flight Director on rather then turn off heading hold until you get some time in and understand how the auto pilot sysyem works. Normally you should leave heading, pitch and bank hold channels on all the time whether you have flight director on or not. Alt hold can be turned on and off as needed. Flight director over rides the hold channels and makes them act as dampers instead. You'll find it to be more controllable with fight director on and also easier to control as opposed to turning off any of the hold channels.

I joined the 159th server today without any problems. I just started the BS multiplayer, browsed through the servers and there it was. I started up and joined on TS, but although there was 5 people on the game server, non of them were on TS. Went ahead and joined the game anyways and selected a side on the server. Then I made the mistake of trying to change the TS channel to the red side which I had up on my second monitor. But that minimized Black Shark, and I couldn't get it to restore, so I had to end the DCS process to end it. I didn't try rejoining because this was my first time trying out MP. I really wanted to do co-op instead anyways to get acclimated with MP and see how my machine handles it. Plus I got a call for a dinner invite. I'm still looking to try out some MP, preferably co-op at first.

Help please!! How can i control Shkval with mouse axis?
JDski replied to CarlosFLY's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
Mabye not what your looking for exactly, but if you control your view in the cockpit with the mouse and with the HMS down, you could hold down "O" to designate target, move your view and your now controlling the SHKVAL with your mouse. -
If your monitor is able to swivel into portrait mode, didn't it come with software that automaticly rotates the display when you rotate your monitor? Mine did. But I couldn't tell you how to go about working it out with the ABRIS display though.

What review? I read the few paragraphs then kept clicking on "Full Review" expecting to see an actual review.
