Groove, I had that same issue so now while adjusting the throttle I tend to slide the throttle using my fingers resting along the top and not having the palm resting near the top, seems to help as I do not hit buttons any more. Was quiet annoying at times. The stick and throttle has a lot of axis and buttons, so far I have not had to use the software to program a profile. The bad thing and it really isn't an issue is that when the throttle is locked I have a fair bit of play between the left and right quadrants. Again does not effect anything, just feels wierd. I do love my stick and can honestly say it has been the best one I owned to date. Bullet

To those with an x52 or x52 pro

I had an X-52 for about 5 years and it was rock solid, well to me it was at least. I never noticed any slop. Bullet -
I do not know how to say this, but from my time in and by signing a few pieces of paper for the next 50 years we can not talk, acknowldge anything we may have seen, been part of, briefed on or anything else :) I do remember that if we did sign those things we do not talk or acknowledge anything. Why would you expect folks to do that? Hey didn't Tom Clancy get pulled in for guessing? Bullet

In my profile I use the num pad - key for centering. In dcs I removed what ever was linked to that key, I believe it was a view key. I removed it becasue with Trackir I do not need it. In the track ir software it has views which show what your head is doing in relation to the camera. I suggest bringing it up to give you a visual repensentation of what all the axis are doing. If you read the manaul it should sound familiar. In the default profile f12 is the centering key. It will take some time to get used to it and you will find small movements make big changes to the view. Good luck and let us know how it goes. Bullet

A simple answer go for either 4 or 5. I love my 4 and I came from a 3 and it is so much smoother. I have a friend who had a 4 and went to a 5 and he speaks highly of it. If you can afford it upgrade and also get the trackclip pro. just one mans opinion. Bullet

Awesome read. I remember playing it and god I loved it so much. It was a glorious time for this budding industry. Bullet -
At the top of mine it has saitek x65 and saitek rudder peddles as I only have those 2 devices. I hope that helps. Bullet

I also use the X-65 and so far I have reframed from using the software. I have everything on the sticks I need including the mic switches. The options menu is pretty good to assign the buttons and axis. Good luck with it as it took several tries to get a setup that flowed. Bullet

If you chose to install the 32 bit and 64 bit installation you should have 4 icon, 2 yellow and 2 blue. The 32 bit is DCS-a10c_x86. The Blue icon is multiplayer and for 32 bit it will be the same. you are selecting the other icon and have you waited for the textures to compile, it can take as long as 15 minutes. Bullet

Did you update your games thru the trackir menu? I am guessing this is brand new? Bullet

is the orange DCS A-10C icon for single player?
Bulletstop replied to Sgt.Baker's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
Yes blue is multiplayer, orange is single. The orange does have an option in the main menu for multi player. However I have never seen it automatically start the multiplayer. Bullet -

I have the x65, I have seen other sigs that have the x52, tm couger, and Wartog. I am willing to bet most of the hotas out their willbe compatable. Bullet -
Have you selected easy coms in the options menue. I have mine for realistic and I have the mic keys assigned. If easy is selected then this key work \. Every thing from atc to Jtac has a freq assigned to it. Whether it is am or fm you have to put in the correct freq in the proper radio. Bullet

I am sorry it took so long, but here is the fraps video I took. After he rolls off target you can still hear the gun firing. I am wondering if any one else has seen, err heard this?http://img525.imageshack.us/img525/8068/b38.mp4 Bullet

Tonight in multiplayer I was looking over a buddies planes and he fired and the gun sound kept going. Unfortunately the server crashed so I was unable to save the track, however I was using fraps and quite possible I have it saved. I will check later. Has any one else noticed this? I did a search for gun sounds continuing and nothing came up so I aplogize if I missed a previous post. Bullet
