Seriosuly, it is a beta and with that said there is bound to be issues and I feel your pain when you have such a great product you want to play so badly, and yet it will not play for what ever reason. relax, take a break and by this time next week hopefully you will be playing a mucH different game. Depending on the ordinance and configuration a lot of times the aircraft will try to bank left. I just trim and be done, also I find as I release ordinance I have to retrim. Does this happern just at take off or all the time depending on speed, aircraft configuration? Bullet

The settings I use to give good preformce for me is, textures =medium Civ traffic =off water= low Shadows =medium Vis distance= medium Those seems to effect my system more then other. For instance I still have msaa and hdr on and 1024 res for the mdf's and I get in the low 20's to high 50's in a heavy engagement. I also have win 7 64 and I do not notice any stutters but the frames can drag if I turn up any of the above beyond medium. I hope this helps. Bullet

Sanc, It really helps us if you put your comp specs up so we know what hardware you have. If yea notice most of us have our specs in our sigs. I find hdr does hit my frames, but to be honest I love the sun effect so I keep it on. Hell sometimes I want to reach for my visor,lol. A throw back from when I crewed. Bullet

Is it the hdr setting in the options menu? I know that does effect my game some times. Let us know. Bullet

Nikeleye, Thanks I was on my laptop and I did not remember the file path. I did have to go thru and change a couple of things but for the most part the keys were still binded. It is much better then having to go and reset all the key binds. Bullet

Altho back up the config.lua for your controller, helps emensly when I did a clean install. Bullet

Random Failure, happens all the time, well it has happened to em several times . I did have pitot heat on, tried resetting, no go, so rtb with busted plane :). Bullet

No, the 64 drivers were released for NP first but were not included in beta 3, had to wait for beta 4 with ed. At least that is what I understood, but lately been doubting my reading comprehension,lol. Bullet

I have to agree, putting it out unfinished may give the general public a bad taste and could possibly hurt ED in the long run. I mean even here with the sticky's and stuff about it being a beta when you pre-purchased the game, some folks got pissed because it would not work. I love the fact we get to in some small way help a product mature, but that is just me. I do quick missions and yes it is very hard to spot targets, however I use a technique like Greb only with the helicopters. once I start seeing kills I can usually orbit and find things to kill :). Not perfect but works for me :). I have yet been able to tell my wingy to attack something, oh well still working on the comms. Bullet

I have to admit, I only really bought it to support the devs. However once I got it and started learning the systems, I feel in love. Hell I even think it looks good and most times I loath Russain birds. I can not beat the realism nor the attention to detail in the FM and supporting systems. It is just a fun bird to fly and on a plus side has a nice selection of weapons. It does have some rather irrating things like see thru tree's but all in all a very nice sim, and yes I still take it for a flight and keep in practice from a cold and dark bird all the way to weapon utilization. It is great to see another person who truly enjoys the sim Salute. Bullet

Yea it has to go into the throttle with the svideo cable. That should fix your stick issue. Bullet
