The 965 doesnt support SLI. The 975 supports crossfire. The 680i does SLI, but needs better BIOS. Especially for the price of most the PCBs.

Yeah OC these C2D is unreal. I read of people running them at like 85C!!! Supposedly the core temp sensor is built into the chip, so unless you give it a sudden increase in temp that it cant react to... it will shutdown. Mine runs at 55C full load @ 3.2GHz, I may try higher soon. I get about the same FPS with my 7900GTX, but I get the 8800GTX is sure nice in other games, like ArmA. I think im gonna wait to see what ATi comes out with though. They seem to handle shaders/particles better, and lock on really drops the FPS when a lot of particles are around. + Rumors of 8900.

At the bare minimum the warm-up delay, which to my programing uneducated self, seems to be a simple thing. But the rest of the ideas would really improve the ECM model.

Coming froms someone with 50% warning. Not sure why it matters. It has nothing to do against the developers. If people want to cheat so that the experience is no longer any fun, why would I continue to play it. BS is awsome. I still fly A2G mostly, and have great fun at it. But I play mostly online. If somehow my squad went away. None of the servers had pure A2G missions, and this issue still existed. Sorry, it would be a waste of HDD space for me. Glad you enjoy my pressence on the team.

As if we got something better to do.

Nvidia FSAA still awful compared to ATI

I was always under the impression that the High Quality -> Performance slider only determined by default what all the other setting were, and which were locked. -
Thats a good thing. What is the grey pod on top?
-
So you're saying the same 'blinking' can be done to the radar, and still be able to fire and guide an ER? I suppose that makes sense since the ERs will relock if its lost and gained quick enough
-
Not sure why you think I havent dealt with it. Quite easily actually. There are more than a few A2G servers, and I for A2A I fly with respectable people who dont see a need to use an exploit.
-
I am very interested in reality, unfortunately that has nothing to do with this topic. If you wish to discuss how RL radar, ECM and ECCM works, by all means start another thread. But you are trying to pull all that into this topic as if it matters.
-
Uh, what does it have to do with honesty? There is no need to attempt to insult people. Read what you quoted me, and then read what I then posted, pretty close. Genius.... Who cares how radar really works, and believe me I dont need an explanation from you. Not sure how you gather I dont know how radar works, when all I have said is, IT DOESNT MATTER CAUSE THIS ISNT RL. But you cant seem to get that. I am not treating you as an idiot, I am merely saying what you are talking about doesnt matter to the current topic. But go ahead and try to explain RL radar and PRF to me, even though it doesnt matter. Waste your breath, you wont be telling me anything I dont already know. Seems to me you just want a feather in your hat. When you are done, i will then explain to you what a mitchelson double pass interferometer is, what optical diffraction is, why we must use CaF optics for 193nm lasers, because that all has as much relevance as what you are trying to talk about. Did you even read what I wrote, sheesh.

OT: Flight of Fury- the movie
Prophet replied to SuperKungFu's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
You can just assume any movie with Seagal in it, will be ghey. Ranks up there with Van Dam. -
Your reply still doesnt make any sense. What does RL have to do with it considering the PRF and such of RL is not modelled to that degree.
-
Now sure what that has to do with anything. Whats the PRF in LOMAC? Who cares about RL, its not relevant in this discussion yet thats what you continue to focus on. If the ECM model was after a RL ECM, then OK. If we had ECCM like in RL, then OK. But we dont, and so it doesnt matter. The arguement that macroing the ECM key is OK, because IRL thats what it actually does its just absurd. And the minumum delay my G15 allows is 100usec.
-
Get well soon man!
-
Yes because maddoging requires a macro, and we know the LOD with MiG is due to a macro also....
-
And how would you know they are using it? Heck I see people bounce around all the time, could just be lag.

How Many Dual Core Users ??
Prophet replied to MonnieRock's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Since LOMAC only uses 1 CPU, it wouldnt see any difference. Though for other Windows tasks? -
How Many Dual Core Users ??
Prophet replied to MonnieRock's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Proven otherwise. CPU is the #1 factor. -
Have you ever asked MS for another CD key when you have upgraded too many times, and it wont activate? Yeah......... I find it awfully nice of ED to give another activation key. I used up all mine recently, and sent an e-mail. I think it took a week or so, but they replied.
-
I think the ECM suite and Radar suite are seperate?
-
Really? Actually like I said, oh multiple times, A2G is fine with me. And your here too, so your loss also then? You have yet to do that. But your point relating to RL, not LOMAC. Another assumption. You are the one calling maddog an exploit, not I. So cope with it the way YOU want to. And I will cope with it the way I want to, by coming here and bitching about it. Dont like it? Dont read it.
-
Yeah its just software, which everyone doesnt have in the SIM, and everyone doesnt know about. The only way to make it fair for everyone (as you claim it is now) Is for the servers that allow it to scroll a message telling people how to do it, and whats going on. Likely is the key word, but you dont know.
-
No I dont have to deal with it, like I said A2G will do for me. What a waste of all those other planes ED took the time to program. Their loss. BS will come out, lots of A2G missions there without A2A. You and your arguements. How about you just keep it on topic instead of bringing other issues like maddog into it. So you can flip your ECM switch IRL at 0.0001 seconds fast? No, if you flip your ECM by finger at say 0.5 seconds, I can get a lock long enough to at least launch on you. When its blinking so fast you dont even see the strobe the only launch you have is a maddog. So from your logic, I need to use what you consider an exploit (Maddoging) to defeat ECM blinkers? Nothing I can say to that without offending.
-
Im not going to layoff when the attitude is "deal with is and stop complaining". Change your tune, I will change mine. Still an exploit. And no maddoging is not the same issue. Its unrealistic to employ a missile that way, but YOU COULD DO IT. And can you please tell me how EVERYONE can do this? Say I have a simple 2 button joystick and a standard keyboard, please tell me how to accomplish the unhumanly fast blinking.
