Very nice, this came with 1.5.5? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

That's not true. Users here want to be able to simulate real abilities of the aircraft. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

During a CCIP snake eye run, bombs all fell short however Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I get accurate bomb drops and even did before the latest update, although the crosses on HUD seem off. On TAW 3 server yesterday did a two man INS toss bombing on the Russian factory complex.. Main building destroyed and most of the complex on fire. I can say that bomb toss over a hill defo works as intended. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

What do you guys think of the new Tactical Map labels?

What do you guys think of the new Tactical Map labels? I just had a long think about when and how I would like to be able to see other players markings. Never, was the answer. If someone wants to share data they can reach me on simpleradio! Which brings me to my next point. ED SHOULD SELL CIRIBOBS SIMPLE RADIO AS AN INTEGRATED MODULE The marks should be able to be made on the f10 and viewable on kneeboard but only for your own aircraft (in game copilot/RIO). I'm pretty sure I would only use marks for my own flight plan (very useful in conjunction with radio nav) and for received targets from jtac and for marking an IP and ranging it. Exactly my thoughts. In an ideal world we would have the arma map system and each player would only be able to write on their 'own' map. Or at least the realism settings would be able to turn the blufor markers on/off. In order to effectively put markers on specific lat/longs or mgrs coordinates we would need a dialog box in order to enter the coordinates for the markers to be accurately placed instead of tediously moving the mouse around the f10 map. Some marks like this would be majorly useful for the new mirage ins bombing! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Sounds like the same problem as on 1.5 to me Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Using the INS for precission bombing Cool! Thanks for the change log. Is this from today or from the last update? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I will test this again tonight when I am home from work. Something fishy is going on. I have tried with both HOTAS commands - nav update and INS position update. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

My GF has some cousins in Rotorua. I however am in SE london! Sorry!

Yes I am starting to think the same - guess I'll wait till the next update before I play around with this further.

Not to sound rude but that isn't really what I'm talking about. I can see the geographical position that is the 'true' position of the IP waypoint and it remains offset even after the delta has been zeroed. Obv the longer you leave it the more error is introduced but I am talking about the moment that the error is zeroed this is no change from the original waypoint position. To make this easier I used Inguri Dam as the IP. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Is anyone else having trouble with radar updating the INS? I am doing everything by the book but unfortunately the cross doesn't move to the 'real' IP after it should have changed - the INS display shows the offset to apply but I click VAL to 'confirm the update' and the cross has no movement Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

So is the radar INS update borked at the moment or am I doing it wrong?

ED should use the Combat Mission games as inspiration for vehicle damage modelling. Even calling them games feels wrong, they are more strategic sims. Ground pounding with anything unguided feels very tedious at the moment. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

erm I think this thread should be renamed - Harrier GR9 thread!
-
GR9 is winning and there are less British people here than yankie doodles so that should be a sign
-
Would much rather get a GR9 version... I'll settle for a GR7 though. Lets be honest it would be nice to get some British aircraft in the sim! (and no the hawk doesn't count lol) "I counted them all out and I counted them all back in" Vibrating with excitement

I have killed a Huey on a server before with a 65D. Made him ragequit!

I have the just flight tristar professional (lots of bugs and performance issues, I don't recommend purchasing it despite saying the following...) and it modelled the INS drift really well, I loved having to recalibrate over the north sea on a simulated tanker route ;). Having such a feature really shows the benefit of GPS assisted INS as in the A10C and other more modern aircraft. I might give that bird another go if and when I upgrade to V3 from P3D V2, that thing ate VAS like nothing else!

non sense and out of topic :smartass:
