Well, I think these poll results explain my feelings toward the 'g' variant announcement!

I really hope ED decides to do a 'world model' (hence the name DCS World and not DCS A Collection Of Smallish Maps) I understand that details will be an issue but to follow the xplane 10 model (terrain is modular and is replaced with water if not present) would not be too hard, it would also be a great way to see the sim grow. I'm not holding my breath though, I don't think this is a feature :(

RME produce some pretty nice midrange converters for sure, atm I have a firewire focusrite saffire pro 40. Only problem is I use it with my mac (the firewire), I need to see about getting a card for my PC. I havn't heard good things tho about the windows compatible FW800 cards. I always wanted to use TS with a ribbon mic :p p.s. Some complete B****** stole my nice AKG headphones from my student house last year (thought it was someone up cooking steaks at 4am or something, that happened frequently) now I am stuck with a USB Turtlebeach headset (the cheapest ones) for my PC and the noisefloor is killing me. I've got some Dynaudio monitors but again, no firewire link with PC atm. Something else for the 'to buy' list I guess!

I have seen a few threads discussing flight pedals, however I would like to know which ones represent the best VALUE FOR MONEY. I would rather not spend the £175 for the saitek combat pedals, however on the other hand I don't want to purchase the cheaper pro flight pedals if they feel cheap or under-perform significantly. If anyone could help me out or are selling some then I'd love to hear from you :) THE TWISTGRIP MUST BE GONE FROM MY VIRTUAL FLYING

I'm assuming Stratos means the SU25T lights, I think they have been bugged since 1.2.8 and the 3D cockpit

Now I'm no expert when it comes to flight models but as cpt.smiley says, surely it is a case of WHO is doing to coding? Surely the flight model can dictate the forces applied to an aircraft. DCS may not have the functionality included with it but thats by no means to say that it can't be done, it just hasn't been done YET (well as a test it seems it has been). I doubt there is much that can't be done due to 'Engine Limits' And as someone else mentioned, the fact there are heli's in the sim already indicates that such forces can and are currently used to a huge extent. While OP could have been a little more sensitive so could quite a few posters on this thread, shooting down his question with supposed facts not actually backed by any evidence! Cummon people this is not how science works! :p

Hey guys hope you can help a friend of mine, when he clicks on multiplayer (from the main menu) the program crashes instead of opening the server browser. Its a clean install and even tried wiping the saved games folder Any help would be great, as for me, I'm flying alone now :cry:

the only problem really with this additional delay is that the hype may completely throw off reasonable expectations of what the finished product is capable of lol

Ok so I am using X52 pro, maybe the software is the issue for me too. I love the software but the implementation seems so buggy and weird.
