Whilst I obviously want all these things too, I can't help but think that the Soviet/East aircraft may be left out. We need a Mig29 in full DCS glory. There isn't much fun about having a DCS level fighter with only FC3 aircraft to go up against. I recently got back into the SU25 (obviously not a multirole or even gen4) but I know plenty of people would love a DCS level sim of that airframe. Especially due to all the real world deployments allowing for accurate-ish scenarios in the future.

Speaking of Combat Mission games in another thread on here just had me thinking about their damage modelling and how perfect it would be in DCS. The ability to damage part of the vehicle, i.e. tracks, smoke launcher, optics. In states like; Green - 100% working Amber - Limited use Red - Completely f***** Even if the damage was done like rolling a dice e.g. A nearby blast has a 2% chance of taking doing amber damage to the thermal camera on a vehicle and a 15% chance of damaging the radio antenna. Obviously direct hits would be worked out with hit point boxes on the models. Basically I am bored at work and this is really obvious, especially to the devs lol. I just wanted to type something instead of working!

What we really need is a system whereby the settings take resolution into account and adjust accordingly. 4K screens have 4 times the amount of pixels compared to a 1080p screen. The total pixel count of the sprite would be multiplied by a factor of 4, keeping the visibility exactly the same for both monitors. If the minimum pixel size was also adjusted by a factor of 4, the sprite would pop out of existance at the same distance from the player on both screens. The only difference would come in terms of definition of the dot. But if its a dot.... there isn't much to miss.

Im running at 4k with fairly good performance except when taxiing behind a friendly, realised it was the heat blur freaking my machine out. Try and disable it in settings and see what happens, in my case it made bases and taxiing way more friendly for my machine. Edit.. We basically have the same machine except that I have 770 OC 4GB

VSAAF are good bunch and their server gets nicely populated. Also try the RAF UK guys, they run some really nice missions but not as many numbers as VSAAF

Ordered it yesterday, apparently the small plate doesn't fit the x52 pro so I had to go large. Got an addition top plate for the saitek yoke and panels. All it requires to change over is to undo the quick release and slide the tube out!

Damn I just placed an order and didn't know they did a small plate... I like having the throttle to the side! I better try and change it... Thanks for the feedback Ripper.

Thanks Rage, I have just been in touch with them via Email and apparently you can purchase an addition plate that remains attached to x52 so you can lift one stick off and lift the yoke on. Seems too good to be true ;)

Hey guys and girls, I am wondering if anyone on here has previously purchased a Wheel Stand Pro? I am looking at buying the Saitek Yoke version of the stand to use with P3D and Xplane. I use an X52 Pro with DCS I'm just making sure that I can use the stand for that too (I'm guessing there are screws to take out tho :/). Currently I am using a homemade wooden stand that will be sad to put in the loft as I'm quite proud of it! However, the adjustability of these Wheel Stand things seem to be a no brainer for me as I'm always switching between sims (for 1 flight in the NGX, then back to the georgian skies lol). Hope this made sense as I've just woken up :pilotfly: Thanks in advance

LOL I also use a cardboard box for a throttle stand. I am trying to fiddle around with my setup atm, maybe I will try this. Since buying a saitek yoke for civvie things it really gets in the way. This table could be the answer to my dreams... well sort of.

DCS Radio Mod/VOIP Implementation Can not agree more, whilst I am a user of Aries Radio, finding other users of the radio system (and walking them thought the install) can be tough. A vanilla solution would be the real way forward... Surely they can afford to add Towsim to the team!? Edit: WHETHER HE WANTS TO JOIN OR NOT!
