All the helicopters in DCS suffer a huge fps hit due to the Blades. Unfortunately this makes them unflyable. This mod:-https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3310696/ makes only the UH1 flyable in VR. Will the Hind be the same?

Hi Folks, Shu77 sent me over here to report a Heli base I found:- Heli base 078' 2.9 nm from the northern end of the runway at Bassel AL Assad airfield Syria. Wow I didn't know about this thread. Its Saturday morning and I've now got loads to spend the day exploring! Hi Glyn, I sometimes find that some things work in the save games folder but not in the main DCS install folder and vise a versa. I have attached my 'autoexec' file. If you dont have one you have to make one. Put this file in your save games folder:- Users/name/saved games/DCS/config/autoexec.cfg Run DCS then shut it down and change the 'options' entry to 'false'. I could not get this to work from the main DCS folder but it worked from the saved games folder. If cycling the mssa wont clear it maybe this will do it like it did for me? Hi IronMike, Thanks for the tip...yes the master reset did the job! I now have auto wing sweep. I normally start with the engines running and never had to use that before. Many thanks for your help. Hope you and the team keep well.:)

Hi Folks, I had this exact same problem and have managed to fix / clear it. Cutting a long story short:- I put this line below in to my 'Users/name/saved games/DCS/config/autoexec.cfg' file:- options.graphics.stereo_mode_use_shared_parser = true I found this caused me to only be able to see the deck crew in one eye. I then changed the 'true' to 'false' and restarted DCS. The flicker was gone. I used SC all yesterday evening with not a single flicker and have tested it this morning after a 'cold start' and there is still no flicker. Turning this option on then off fixed/cleared the problem for me maybe it will work for you! Good luck. Stay well.

Hi F4lo, I dont seem to have any of those clubs near me but thanks anyway. Can I buy those connectors on the internet? Do you know what they are called? Do they come separate as wire and connector? If I know what I'm looking for I could probably repair it myself. Front left motor stopped working. EDIT:- I managed to track the problem. A wire on the bottom left connector (looking from the back) on the circuit board (in the middle of the seat) has come away. I managed to do a very rudeamentary repair using glue but I don't know how long it will hold for! How can I repair this properly? What is the connector called so I can buy one? Does it come factory made? Will I have to put a new one in and solder the end to the motor?

Hi Folks, How old is your install of DCS? Did you use rift (or any other HMD) before getting the Index? My install of DCS is not that old but I was using the Rift with it before I got the Index. Maybe DCS doent like the switch and maybe another clean reinstall is the answer? But I dont want to go through that all again to find its made no difference. Turning motion smoothing off gets rid of the ghosting on the canopy but then the scenery is blurred. Thanks.

Hi Folks, I have tried every thing I can think of to get rid of Ghosting/distortion on the canopy when on take off and landing runs. I dont have this problem with either IL2 BOS or XP11. Are other people having this problem in DCS with the Index/Steam or do I have a quirk in my DCS set up I need to sort out? Thanks.

Hi Folks, I have had this problem for some time now and have managed to find the problem. I must admit I have been waiting for this 'losing break/compressed air' problem to be fixed for a while. I had a problem with XP11 recently and ended up wondering if this is the problem with the Mig21. For anyone who is bleeding compressed air and end up with no breaks or chute:- Are you using an axis lever to apply the brakes? If so disable it in the settings and use something else - not a lever. I was convinced that it was a problem with the module as I had tested the Mig21 on 2.0 with no issues. I dont think the lever I've been using on my CH throttle quadrant is calibrating properly in Win/DCS. I now use the paddle on my warthog joystick and have had no further problems with losing compressed air.

Hi Folks, I have DCS world stored on an SSD and my OS on a hybrid hdd/ssd. When DCS is running does it need to interigate the metashders/fxo file etc. in the savegames folder? I'm using Oculus vr. Does DCS need to get files from the Oculus file that is stored in program files when its running? I'm trying to do everything I can to reduce/eliminate stutters and pauses. Will I see any performance improvement in DCS if I get another ssd for my os? Many thanks.

I just bought a 2080 TI. Due to performance issues I did a complete Win 10 new install yesterday. While performance testing the new install DCS asked if I wanted an update...Why not while I take a break. Last night I got to the stage where I thought I got my new install nailed...but then...This space invader/artifacting crap Ive been reading about started...shit Ive got a duff card...I hate that huge sinking feeling especially when youve worked so hard for the money.....DAMMMMMM.... After totally wasting a lot of valuble time stress testing the card and checking the internet I realised there cant be anything wrong with the card it must be a DCS problem. So I decided that the way forward is to do a completley separate clean install to check things......I thought I'd just take a quick check on here first to see if anything is being reported.... ..A barrage of swear words and ED - NO you an't funny....I'm going to stop myself from going into a rant....I hope you havent ****ed to many of you loyal customers over........

Hi Folks, Ive managed to bind AA Gun selection and Magic short range AA to my HOTAS but I cant find the binding for the medium range missile? Ive tried a few bindings and cant find it. Anybody know what it is listed as? Many thanks.
