Hmm this is strange. Redid sensors setup and calibration Updated usb drivers. Rolled back gpu drivers to known stable version with DDU and clean install. Went back from Oculus Home Beta branch to stable. Installed Dcs Beta to check difference with Alpha. Checked DCS and switched settings, same with rift. Also checked OTT was good. Still, anywhere from 30 sec to 3 or 4 minutes it will start to produce the weird "lag" or ghost image. Again, it doesnt seem to be depicted in the FPS or rendered objects or any of that stuff. I cant see it at least.
-
No thats all fine. Its like I can fly for like a minute, then it starts to lag. But it doesnt show in fps counter, but very clearly stuttering when looking around and stuff. Very weird.
-
Sorry. Just got so frustrated that I forgot to mention. Yes CV1. Yeah sure can try it, but that doesnt ussualy effect lag/tracking in this extreme.
-
I suddenly got a new annoying issue the last week. When flying after about 30 sec to a minnute tracking gets really jerky or laggy. But fps counter doesnt seem to be effected. Altough it feels very laggy. Dont know how to fix it. Anybody had anything similar? Sorry dont mean to hijack the thread.

Can we please fix the culminator in the viggen.
SpeedStick replied to Neon's topic in Bugs and Problems
So just to clarify. Does that mean you can get snapviews in VR? -
Yes a lot of us b*tched about it so... I also wrote a post in that thread describing my excitement.
-
Yes, finally! This is THE update. Maybe she wont be grounded anymore! Spot on. +rep
-
Yep, same with Mirage, MiG, Viggen and probably more. I'm also down to F5.
-
Wow. How did you come up with the scheme for the FFBstick?
-
This is getting more and more common (obviously) with each new module. Started with hog and flew for 2 years, switched to Mig but stopped b/c FM. Got Mirage, stopped b/c FM. Got super excited for Viggen and guess what, stopped b/c FM. So probably not getting Harrier or F-14 until a good FM update. Hawg is still up to spec as far as I know so might get Hornet. Obviously FM and realism is my pet-peeve but all this accuracy is what (in my mind) separates this from every other space-game or whathaveyou and makes it worth while to learn. Sorry, Off topic maybe. Haven't flown them in a while so might be wrong of course.

VR and hardware control scheme and setup ideas
SpeedStick replied to hannibal's topic in Virtual Reality
Hey! First of all. Great setup! I agree with everything you said in your post. Could not have put it better my self. Al tough I think the regular Touch/Vive controllers could work as an intermediary before gloves are out. I would love too see any of the suggestions you wrote in DCS. One that I'm guessing could be done fairly quickly is the independent mouse cursor, maybe even in BMS style? Options are good. -
Debolestis Shapeways shop
SpeedStick replied to debolestis's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Im guessing it would be something like a push through detent with 3 distinct notches: Mil=ABZ1-ABZ2-ABZ3. I think I've seen someone 3d print one before but I cant find the thread when I search for it. -

kneeboard files and utilites? hearing from VR users
SpeedStick replied to hannibal's topic in Virtual Reality
Maybe not entirely related to the in-sim kneeboard but http://www.hellov.io/ is a cool app that can display a movable window in VR headset by sdimply tapping the headset. Can have youtube clipp or custome webpages or whatever. However there is a bug that makes it only work on one eye. Please request it on their discord so he sees the need for this. Also: yeah using kneeboard builder only seem to work on some aircraft, other ones warp it. -
Operation "Blue Flag" - 24/7 PvP Campaign - ROUND 9
SpeedStick replied to gregzagk's topic in Multiplayer
I have the exact opposite opinion to lemon. Its great that at least some servers use these lables, since there is quite a large amount of ppl arguing for it being more realistic, including me. Its a good workaround for the current pixel and PD problem in VR. Regarding the R3R, I dont even load them any more. That should clarify what I think of them. The radar isen't exactly a the most advanced. Im going and guessing with what someone else wrote, more of a weapon delivery system. Also to make it a night/day all-weather intercept capable. -
I don't get these arguments. They seem so narrow minded. OP post a question and video showing a working concept. People reply that it will never work or isn't perfect, because they don't like it? A fitting analogy would be that the FOV is to small in Oculus and we should've just scrapped VR untill we have full realistic FOV. Would touch controllers be perfect? No. Would a lot of users like it? I believe so (?). Can we have both gloves and Touch controllers? Yes. Pretty cool once it gets here though:

Bergisons TM Warthog "mod"
SpeedStick replied to Pinello's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
You should check out his G-seat, which he also built himself: It's been on my todo list for a year now. I nearly ejaculated when I saw the centering of the stick and the smooth action of the throttle. He's the da Vinci of sim peripherals. -
In-game eye distance is wrong! How to correct?
SpeedStick replied to Nooch's topic in Virtual Reality
This sound interesting but Im not really sure I understand it. Im guessing you need to have your exact IPD measured in order to get correct changes? Or are the setting wrong by default so one should change it? -
Says you. I says it would be great. Im guessing you hate VTOLVR since that whole experience is based on almost everything you bashed in that post. Of course it might not be ideal and there is gonna be problems. Doesnt mean its useless Being able to use it for startup, getting a real workflow down in 3d space. Or maybe imagine for the RIO in the F-14 that would be awesome. or... ect ect. So no its not useless. (I mean yeah they are technically useless as in cant use LOL)
-
yeah seen you in the Discord channel I think. Hardly had it working before this update. It would be perfect since you can move the windows and have youtube or documents ect. in a kneeboard anywhere. Oh well some day, maybe.

Any chance of at least ONE MP Normandy server having full labels?
SpeedStick replied to Mr_sukebe's topic in Multiplayer
Yep agreed. +1. -
Also might mention the website: http://www.hellov.io/

If you use VR and fly anything ASM (most likely hog) then you know the annoying pain of easily viewing your PDFs with mission info and browsers open with maps and CDU-wiki ect. ect. Or maybe you just check something on your desktop or whatever. Hello V is the only app/dashboard that tries to solve this and in the latest update V suddenly worked with DCS. However only in the left eye... Is anyone using V with DCS and have had the same problem? Its apparently great with other VR titles like Elite.
