  1. I noticed that boxing TRIG when dropping laser guided munitions that the automatic lasing happens anyway. So under what circumstance one would want to select this option? Is it only for buddy lasing?
  2. Quick question: is this item the one button named TXDSG? Will we ever be able to interact with the member TGT symbol? Like making it our own TGT? Thanks.
  3. That's all I need.
  4. Yeah, I'd like that as well. Maybe goals are not going to be made but an update will provide ease to the community.
  5. Yeapers! Agree on all of that. The DTED part worries me since day 1 of the hornet. I guess they'll just simulate DTED without the TAMMAC layout per se, but I certainly hope they do simulate DTED, otherwise we would not be able to use the slew and designate feature of the HSI (coming later in early access?), and many other things like CR, TGP LOS elevation algorithm, etc. All things we have as of now. So if DTED would not be simulated then our hornet would step down quite big once in release state.
  6. I know, that's what I said, or tried to. My understanding is that ED should take a look at this and see if there is a bug on the magical radar alignment procedure and the extremely quick degraded INS.
  7. Absolutely, INS position and alignment are two completely different things. I thought we were talking about position all this time, as alignment should not be an issue once in flight (given that no one is authorized to take off without a proper alignment if not at war and at a particular circumstance), unless you had a failure. So maybe IFA RDR didn't work because you actually had no alignment issues?
  8. Sounds right, but is it the case? From what Harker said, I didn't catch that.
  9. Yeah correct, I didn't remember how it was at the time of writting the post and I wanted to help the guy on his questions. Thanks for clarifying!
  10. If putting the switch in NAV gives you an advisory of POS then GPS is available.
  11. If there is GPS available, having IFA selected isn't a solution but the correct procedure. Anyway, I do think that pure INS is bugged, as having it in NAV mode should not make the weapon solutions go crazy.
  12. I tried this yesterday and had no issues at all. Track would be nice to see the issue.
  13. Thanks, very interesting information. How does the radar contribute to reposition the INS location?
  14. Thanks. I really hope nothing of what you said was true. Especially after making Belsimtek realize the engine model was way off. Let's just see what @PilotMi8 says about it. Thanks.
  15. @PilotMi8
  16. I realized that no one is following threads now due to the change in the forums so.... @Harker
  17. Thanks! I'll get in touch with you guys!
  18. None offense taken, don't worry I wasn't claiming anything, I just gave my opinion. I didn't talk to an SME and I am not aware of what one said to you, but based on thousands of flight hours I can give at least an informed opinion, which I stand. I am not saying the Hornet FM is right, in fact I think it is very far from the real thing, but I do not agree with the engine statements you posted. No hard feelings though, just an open exchange of opinions
  19. I hardly think this is true IMHO. The engines makes the plane accelerate like a piston aircraft (I'm exaggerating of course). How can it gain back energy quicker than IRL? Sorry but I can't feel it right.
  20. DCS bugs are very complex too, and annoying as hell XD. Come back and tell us if you see this issue again.
  21. So I just asked a friend @heroe to make a cold start from a moving carrier test to see the CCIP and he got good results with it, no issues. When I'm able to, I'll try it myself. Thanks.
  22. Very well put. Yes. Every DCS module feels like underpowered in terms of engine performance and energy management. The A-10C is a good example, I felt it was stalling unrealistically the first day I bought it just like I felt the hornet's nose behavior was wrong the first day I took it on the carrier. It's just one of those things you just feel when flying enough in your life. Now with the A-10CII version they finally corrected it. I'm afraid that when ED finally modify the hornet's FM we will have gotten used to a completely different thing and it'll be tough to learn again.
  23. Maybe aerodinamically, cause the engines are very underpowered right now. Acceleration is way lower than it should be. My opinion though.
  24. I don't think that line position is necessary wrong. Did you drop and miss? I'm gonna try some tests tonight and see if I can come up with something clear.
  25. Yes ok, the moving carrier alignment is broken but with Aided INS it seemed to work. Maybe the moving carrier bug doesn't only affect the position the INS think it has but also the 3D space orientation, hence the weapon delivery issues. But I don't know for sure, all the evidence I've seen of this was with no GPS available.
