  1. I don't think so, if one hornet is jamming a radar I'm guessing other hornets will have to do the same in order for them to be safe.
  2. Will all ECM break locks now? F15? A10? Su27, etc?
  3. Or supporting a sparrow against an enemy. I don't think ED got it wrong, maybe there is an option for selecting this behavior but won't be modeled due to restrictions.
  4. Yeah, that shadow effect kills immersion. Would be nice if ED sorted it out some day, so we don't have a big hit in fps. Maybe the further away the lower resolution.
  5. When locking a not moving vehicle in FTT, but the vehicle starts to move after lock, the brick won't show its movement speed and direction. Track attached. ftt bug.trk
  6. Does the SEA mode requires the ship to be moving in order to show a brick? I know GMT does with vehicles but I'm not sure about SEA. THanks.
  7. Maybe it is so powerful that it would jam its own radar.
  8. Great news!!!! Excellent! Thank you!
  9. But would we have any? I mean, maybe ED can sort it out. Like rendering the far most pixels with extremely low resolution. This will make the image look more realistic with low performance impact.

Alright, didn't mean to bother. Just interested in the product. Sorry for the trouble.

I was reading the newsletter and got really excited about the Hornet items. The countermeasures quantity and the TXDSG are two features that I've been waiting for so long. I wanted to ask if there are any plans for fixing the bugs that the Hornet has? I didn't see any mention of this and I think the Hornet will benefit much more from bug fixing than new features, new features that will introduce even more bugs. The air to air radar has too many breaking and old bugs. I wish ED can make this happen this time. Happy new year.
  12. So IRL the image starts to pop in like a shadow when reaching 40nm?
  13. Yes it does. But I'm not sure if the M version we have included a datalink upload. I know the P does.
  14. That only applies (in DCS) for the 120. The sparrows do re acquire after loss of radar lock and re gain.
  15. Oh yeah, that doesn't happen right now. But I thought it was due to trackfiles and the ability of the MC to "know" who is who. Maybe deselecting LTWS will give us the trail effect?
  16. Yes, good point too. I think during a real war the rules of engagement are so tight that no matter how obvious something is but until a complete matrix has been completed no fire can be done. It happens even with tight ROE matrix, imagine how bad it'll be if the intentions of a return would be determined by its location only.
  17. I think it's an IFF issue. You will never know what you are targeting until you can VID. So range benefit will be low.
  18. What is wrong with AA hits?
  19. That's a hard one. In one hand we have the fact that if it doesn't pick them up the realism will drop dramatically. On the other hand we have the difficulty in doing so, given the dcs engine.
  20. Yeah, no one understands that. It maybe a missunderstanding of documents from the spanish pod, like the coordinates ED said they were not realistic but then they said they were. Back to topic, now that we have markpoints, it's good to always make one so when you undesignate at least you can point the TGP back without looking for the target or zone again. Hope it helps.
  21. Wags said the legacy hornet doesn't have this feature. Surely the coming soon tag generates a lot of doubts. Maybe the mod who tagged it didn't take the time to read the OP and thought he meant the TXDSG button.
  22. Why was this marked as correct? ED has already acknowledged a bug when aligning from a moving carrier. Using NAV when GPS is available does not behave like it does now in DCS. NAV mode will only drift like any not aided INS, but will not make the weapon solution go crazy like in dcs. IFA (AINS) will just make the GPS aid the INS so it knows where it is all the time and auto update its horizontal position each 40 seconds and velocities every 5 seconds (GPS version). EGI version updates both horizontal position and velocities every 4 seconds. So the GPS contributes almost zero in the INS gyro capabilities, instead it helps with position. "Use IFA" is just a temporary solution to an existing bug when aligning from a moving carrier like Santi said. Thanks.
  23. No, it isn't correct. See my response. OP is reporting that 1X works fine and that 5X doens't. According to Natops, Wags, and public documents, 1X and 5X are in the same range that should be avoided. So no, it isn't correct.
  24. Hello guys. Quick question: Was any of these items in last patch really applied to the game? Based on BN it seems to me they didn't, right?
  25. Did any of these "fixes" solve anything?
