Okay this thread also turned into speculations and critics thread. Please stop criticizing me about why I opened this topic. If you don't have something valuable to say please stop mocking. I did not open this to beg for F-16 module or to dictate a specific delivery time. My purpose was to learn about the situation of F-16 in DCS from officials. If they don't want to answer, then they don't answer and that's it.

Situation of F-16 I have been carefully going through the forum and searching for news related to F-16 DCS module and its status. All what I saw was full of speculations made by forum users. So here I would like to ask my question to the DCS managers/developers. What is the situation about F-16? Is it under development? Are the legal constraints preventing you? Is it not even considered to be made? Are there other priorities first? Do we expect an F-16 or not? I am looking for any simple answer from the officials.

I am not saying that it should be flawless for everyone. It can be optional. If you want to fly it realistic then do it. But having choices does not hurt anyone. Imagine a person who loves the module but HUD gives him headache or dizzyness this way. Why ruin his fun? Let him choose what he likes. I do not agree with your statement "if you cant handle it dont use it". People should use it however they like to. It is their choices and their fun.

It would be very nice if the HUD refresh rate could be implemented as optional. For those who choose the realistic option, it might be slower. But some people might find it disturbing so they can have the option to have it flawless.

Hello, There are only a few missions coming with the F5 module. They are quite simple missions I have flown them already. And now what next? :) Is there any mission pool where I can download and fly? How to get more of this module? I know that there is the BFM campaign but that is only dogfight setups. I would like to fly some air to ground or mixed missions.

It should get damaged over 600 knots that's for sure. I assume it is not implemented..

Coverage depends on the burst altitude setting of the CBU. I don't know how it is changed in DCS. Similarly there is an arm delay setting adjusted by technicians by rotating something in front of the bomb before the flight.

Thanks for all responses. I will note these and practice. I have an X-55 and TrackIR but not rudder pedals. @grunf: Do you recommend pedals? How much do they help if you would give a score between 1-10? I didn't bother buying pedals since I mainly fly airplanes where you don't use them 95% of the time. X-55 rudder is very precise in terms of measuring, but it is terrible for making small adjustments. You can not give 23% rudder to the right and make it 24 or 25 as needed. It suddenly jumps to e.g 37% due to physical design issues.

Take into account that the bombs are flying ~600 knots (almost like a bullet). Even an airplane with full brakes deployed would not slow down much from that distance. So it might be possible that the bombs are able to generate the required lift. Of course I do not find this video as a realistic employment of this ordinance but deeper analysis might answer this behaviour.

Well I tried like 50+ times :) Maybe it is better that I record a video of my "trying" to land, so people can give better advices. In other sims (e.g FSX) I was much better with any heli, that made me wonder..

Hello, I simply do not have the talent to land this bird properly. Landing at "somewhere" is somehow manageable but landing at a certain point is almost impossible for me. For god sake just open the "Improving your piloting skills mission and takeoff. Then come back and try to land on the center of the helipad. I can not even hover the aircraft properly on a constant ground! It drifts no matter how precise I try to be... I searched some videos on Youtube for some advices but didn't see anything useful. This video from real life is what I try to do. See 0:15. He lands perfectly... Any advices? Am I missing something? Can someone land this bird properly at a certain point? If yes, how?

I skip that switching to BTY TACAN and then back to the LSV TACAN. The reason why JAYSN is there in real life is probably to keep you away from the Creech AFB. So instead of switching, I avoid flying a direct route between FLUSH and FYTTR but follow a curve bended towards southwest.

I also found some issues regarding to the navigation points. For example if you look to the page "Red Force Recovery Routes STRYK" STRYK is located on LSV 283 26NM but on "BFM Flight Plan" it is shown as 280 26NM. Unfortunately I didn't write down other things I noticed. During FAM mission the voice record can be deceptive since it does not take the navigation errors in the account. I remember that on the way back to Nellis it said "On the right is Mopo town" but in my flight for some reason Mopo was on my left.

The briefing implies that you enable the external fuel tank switches and maintain approximately 300 knots. You shouldn't have fuel problems in that case. Remember to jettison before the action.

I did a cold start and calibrated both ADIs nicely and took off. During the flight the main ADI became strangely banked and pitched. Any ideas why? No warnings received on the right panel and master caution is off.

Like others mentioned before, if you can not get the kill during first merge, and you are in an offensive position, the AI either hits the deck (denying your kill) or flies full AB high in the sky which results in a draw after the 5min timeout...

Very nice campaign. IFG, ACO and Spins Documents are awesome but it would be better if there would be less margins in PDFs. I used some PDF editing for better printing results.

But if the clouds do not look/behave like in reality it is a bug. Such a visually appealing simulation should not have this kind of simple issue (I think).
