Guess what it's Soviet nickname was... Yes, the salt water crocodile type, the Alligator. -
I would say, firstly A, it is the su27 family, then it is a su-30K derriviate and lastly C, su-30mki, so basically all answers are right omg, the thing just leaps to the skies, damn, les hope the indians will never have to use that monster in real combat.

Su-25T Laser Rangefinder - what's it for?
Force_Feedback replied to Wild.Bill.Kelso's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
I was being sarcastic. Seriousely, why is a weak coded ring laser getting as hot as a range finder? -

Su-25T Laser Rangefinder - what's it for?
Force_Feedback replied to Wild.Bill.Kelso's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Why does the laser on the su-25t get so hot? I mean, beam-rider lasers are a couple of magnitudes less powerful than 'ordinary' lasers that just paint the target. I mean, why can some other laser-guidance equipped aircraft like the F-15e lase for extended amounts of time, and the su-25t, with the little wee low powered laser can't? -
Cable snap on Kuznetsov, bye bye Su-33

And it was in the same sortie, the last one, or two su-33s had to land with only 2 wires available -
MiG-35 and MiG-29SMT presentation

And, you can just put your foot on the K-36, with the ACES II the life support package will crack, everything will start decomposing inside, not really pretty. Look really cool, lets hope the MFI plane will have even more of the mig-35 innovations (and that it will be a really new airframe) -
:megalol: golden, and it even got vin diesel in it. You're like so.... dangerous, jeesh [/faggish voice]
-
Heh heh, with this ED can make the mig-29k return again

any Mirage sims around?
Force_Feedback replied to MuggyMach3's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
The M-2000 is the most agile non-tvc-supercruize-gizmo engined fighter, it can make circles around the F-16 and Hornet, and gives by far the most impressive airshow performance. -

Oh I like it too, but all the extra back-up gauges look kind of chaotic when put in such vast quantities. Guess they don't trust the lcds just yet, or, it is some 'initial production' prototype -

I was pretty euphoric back then :| No weed or drinks taken for at least 48 hours before then, so you can call it wierd. That SMT cockpit looks like some kitbash done in some garage while the wife was whining about the time spent on your 'hobby', so you had to work fast to get it dont, not caring about ease of use. All the dials sticking out, seems chaotic from this angle, but it may not disturb the view when actually seated. And, the AoA limit has been lowered to 26, the thing is heading towards a F-16-like bombtruck concept, which is exactly the right way to go, no need for agility when fighting upset goat farmers. -
Give, give! :D

FCK-1A, because it looks awesome from the front, and from the side (only the cockpit section + inkates). If only it got good engines, then it would be a really cool plane. BTW, your photo is of the ugly paintscheme, just give us a photo from the front, in plain boring grey, that way the fck-1a/b looks the best

That thing looks even worse than some Romanian F-16 aftermarket garage job on their mig-29 cockpit wise. Why not add a fixed laptop with a connector cable instead :P Nah, that thing would fall apart after 0.5 flighthours, get damaged by vibrations, EM radiation, annoying stoners at airshows, trying to nick the laptop (har har), annoying stoners trying to install games on the laptop (lomac), causing it to crash, and many other reasons involving stoners doing strange things to it (downloading porn for instance, with the lappy)... -
OT: New Chinese Su-27 - J11B
Force_Feedback replied to Kusch's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
What has the vehicle parachute system to do with the su-27Chinmod? And why are the geniouses replacing the ejection seat, do they want to make it lighter? Oh well, their pilots are small, maybe the original mod 2 K-36 doesn't offer enough length adjustment. And, what about the epu on the vanilla su-27? Does it have one, I have this sk manual, but I'm lazy as balls It has a modern cockpit, whine ,ed model this, mkdel that, I wanna hav real su-27Chinmod with AFM, AFM for the canopy, AFM for the pilot's wee bag when ejecting, etc. :P -

Nooo, Harpoon 4, nooooo, you've opened an old wound, that hurts. Just imagine what would happen to the lomac-esque community if it came out. -

I too hate this 'hear hear, let's start this crusade, let's fight these, let's fight those' attitude that shows up once in a while. So, what are the engine ratings? -
SU25 & SU25T Countermeasure Displays
Force_Feedback replied to Polo's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Firstly, on the su-25(t) you have to use The Force, no way to see CM remaining any other way... Or, and this is considered cheating, but heck, If you want counters, than you have to get them, right? Okay, go to your bazar/world/shapes folder, find the su-25-kabina.lom and su-25-kabina.dat, back them up, do the same for su-27-kabina.lom/dat. Then copy the su-27-kabina/lom/dat, and rename them to su-25-kabina.lom/dat. Tadaa, you have the su-27 cockpit for your su-25, and even got a nifty chaff/flare counter, and a cool looking TV display (higher res, just like with the Palm 3e and Palm M-100 ;))
