  1. Gameplay aside, setting up macros is NOT realistic, you can't throw 3 switches with 1 hand each on either side of the cockpit in real life either. Same applies to the uber-sophisticated, and well moddled ECM system in lomac, even if it worked that way in the real world, and it doesn't, even then you wouldn't be able to 'blink' and keep your hands at the stick and throttle, no matter what your excuse. So what's next a gunzo aimbot 'cuz the Gripen has it too!'....
  2. I already see the first years of F-35B with automatic ejection, press the RWR button, then twice the chaff dispenser, after that turn the heat on and.... Boom, 0.65 seconds later you're breathing fresh air :P
  3. Dude, Tango & Cash is the reason we have F.U.B.A.R. today, respect that, not the fag actors.
  4. OMG, there was an ejection scene in Battlestar Galactica, looked fine, except for the simultaneous seat ejection, but I guess that was in 'space mode' (in which I'm right now ;)), so no danger of tangling chutes. Just had to say this, opening a new thread seemed uncalled for.
  5. Here we go again... :( For F-15 merrikan brainwashed ones: F-22 rules, will rule, and is good value for money For people brainwashed by other goverments: F-22 might be the best plane, might not, thing is it will never see action against potent adversaries, if it will, go get iodine pills.
  6. Certainly not an F-22 http://www.freeweb.hu/superfighter/RAFALE_2006KE/NOSEPARTRAFALE2006INHUNGARY/photos/photo14.html
  7. ArmA's FMs are even worse than those of OPF, that's what I read about the Czech version
  8. The rebels do fly rogue su-25s that pwn ka-50s with S-5s \m/ What about unprepared runways? can we finally use the su-25(T) the way it was meant to?
  9. Russia only AFAIK, that, and maybe some African 'blood diamond' nation, you know, where all those low flying an-12/il-76s head to.
  10. This is one of the most cool threads to date, no flaming, no amraam this F15 that, just: 'yo bro, that makes no sense at all'
  11. Oh come on, ECM is not even worth being called that way, all we have in-game is some science fiction. In the real world the jammers only jam when a radar signal is detected, and even then it's directional, and frequency specific. There is no such thing like the 'flashlight' jamming like in lomac. The flyables also have various jamming modes, including one for low level flight. And guess what? We don't have any of that in lomac, so how in hell can somebody say programming the hotas software to blink the jammer is realistic? This is not the same as using trackIR or a joystick for that matter, those functions were intended to work with the game by the game's devs, now, programming macros is not realistic, in a real plane it would take more than 0.0001 second to set up the radar for instance.
  12. Well, flares or not, internet knowledge aside, I've seen an AH-64D do interesting things in the air, and popping lots of flares. It shoots off two to the right and left. No flares at all http://www.airliners.net/open.file/1012546/L/ http://www.airliners.net/open.file/0902014/L/ http://www.airliners.net/open.file/0917159/L/ http://www.airliners.net/open.file/0946812/L/
  13. You smoke good stuff, but so do I, hey, I know the Apache has flares, I've seen it popping them in real life, so it does have fares. The blackhawk has them too.
  14. Wow, that is some nice seat, the headrest is almost spot-on! Are you planning on adding the stabilization boom containers? Those are angled 15 degrees out in the horizontal plane. But damn that seat looks hot, will you be making the cushions too? Don't forget adding the parachute harness (car seatbelts come to mind), maybe even the hip restraints, and offcourse the ejection handle. Now you have to make it weigh 105 kg, and you'll have a realistic K-36D(M) Series 2 seat, though I get the impression you're going for the more modern variant. I didn't explode, just had been partying a lot lately.
  15. Too bad we don't have those minigun pods like on the mi-24, those things just follow the pipper, ouch.
  16. Just give us a 3d thrust vectored fighter with afm and simplified avionics. I basically only care about the flight portion, bacause all the tactics and such are a waste anyways, unless you consider having 32 planes in a whole war realistic :P
  17. That's what I'm always whining about, why the paranoia? Sure, some goverments use it to make their voters feel scared of everything, but come on, don't give in to propaganda so easily. AFAIK all the countries in that region have small fleets of aircraft, for defensive purposes, ok, except for China, Japan, Taiwan and both Koreas/Korea.
  18. Not to turn this into some flaming thread, but why does the EU want to tax airlines for emissions? I mean, in my country, the total percentage in CO2 emissions from aircraft (all kinds, also the ones on transit) is slightly below 1.5%, and that for such a small country with a large airport and lots of traffic. In my vision it is some cheap trick to earn some cash. And if they want to screw someone, why not take on the automotive branch, which accounts for 69% of mobile pollution. I know it's slightly OT, but why bother to invoke such taxes when the engine and airliner manufacturers try their best to minimise emissions already? Sounds the same like not being allowed to fart, because of the methane, while a single cow farts up more methane than like 300 humans :s (Heh, what an example :P)
  19. When will the mica and R-73 get thrust vectoring? I suspect the answer will include the words 'freeze' 'hell' and 'over' And tweak that cheesy flame on the aim-120, it looks very cartoonish now, guess the lack os smoke makes the thing look all cute.
  20. He has a point, all the F-22 is going to see are mig-21s/mig-23s/UAVs/airliners/su-25s and maybe some mi-8/mi-24s, that's it. Oh, do I need to mention those silly persons that have a paramilitary organisation and are not tied to any goverment? You know, they make clever plots, use plastic explosives, ball bearings, recruit hopeless teenagers to do their bidding. Sure, they have money, look at US's best friends, Saudi Arabia, they fincance most of them creative minds. Yet the financing isn't that big so they can buy mig-35s/su-30MK3s and other Russian high tech export goods. Surely the F-22 can spot and shoot down SUVs with explosive ordnance in 'enemy' territory, so can the B-2 remain completely stealthy, but at least it has lots of bombs to do some proper CAS
  21. Care to explain how it's done? I tried editing the meint for the su-25 and su25T, but the game removed them (like Shrikes on the su-25t). You can pm me if you want. I do this editing only offline, heck, I never even play online anymore, experimenting offline is better.
  22. Can we also break things by not doing it properly? Plz tell me I can blow up the thing with a few switches (other than the 3 behind the red cover plate)?
  23. Well, they were 'buckets' (ie crappy made, just to be done with it), lately though they are about on par with current western aircraft manufacturing, hence the reason all those Su-30ies and Mig-29M2/35/MRCA look so sleek. Compare that with su-27s built in the early 90ies... Why can't we whine about the deadly tendencies of the F-14a instead of trolling, flaming and all the other specatum tauri (BS is already reserved for Black Shark, so I went back to the original meaning :P)
  24. F-22 made out of wood, with radar reflectors? Nah, I guess Saudi Arabia will get the newest tech, so they can both have the newest US-made tech and financially support terrorism, which in turn gives the US a reason to 'fight global terror'. Yaay, the circle is complete, what a simple world we live in, eh? :P Besides all the doomsday thinking, which is why that site was made in the first place, why would other oceanic nations want to attack Australia? What is it they will gain by wasting money on an invasion, while Australia itself always been very supportive to its neighbors (and they keep the refugees out, which is just awesome)? I know all the help that had been offered to Indonesia, and others after some natural disaster was out of fear, but seriousely, what is it they fear? BTW, I have an aunt in Melbourne :P
