I don't understand your bad performance on 2.0. I have a gtx970, i5 4690k and 16gb of RAM and my game runs smooth with all settings max at 1080P. Do you have 2.0 installed on a ssd?

If I would have a choice it would definatly be the mirage IIIE over the CJ. I am not a fan of export version aircraft and the E has some nice extra capability over the C(J). But the choice for the CJ has allready been made.

Yeah I also think it is a leftover from back in the early years of the sim

He specifically asked how long range SAM engagement is done in real life (looks like he wants to make a realistic approach). We answered that the a-10 does not do it and told him how it is done in real life (not with the a-10). If he would then ask how he might be able to do it in the sim using the a-10 I would gladly give some pointers on how he might be able to do it. But even in the sim it is quite difficult to do, let alone real life, like we all told him. Anyway, this discussion is not necessary at all. Instead of getting upset at us, you could have just asked how we would do it in the sim. Or you could tell him, because I think you are a capable a-10 pilot. Again, we were not trying to be rude, but we are just setting expectations, that the a-10 might not be to suitable for the job.

*They where answering the question about the long range SAM, which you have failed to see with my post aswell* They answer it perfectly fine. When someone asks how they can jump of a skyscraper naked and survive, people will tell you that you can't. I can tell them to flap their arms really fast, but we all know that's not really going to help, now is it. There are some things you can do to maybe get the kill on a sa-10 with a a-10, but that has to do with luck and positioning of the sa-10 (for example close to a mountain) and exploiting the dumb ai and bad mission making. The main answer about how to attack a SAM site with the a-10 was already answered. The follow-up question about long-range SAM's has been answered aswell, with the remark that you better not do it. You apparently get offended easily, while I think most of us don't see the answers as offending at all.

Grudge Match Series- Round 3: Mig 21 Vs F-5 & AJS-37 Viggen!

I think a GCI is needed for both teams to better coordinate. -
Awesome giveaway. Why I would like it? Because then I can give it to a family member and we can finally fly together. He wont have an excuse :D

In real life you are not going to fight long range SAM systems in the A-10. Furthermore, in real life, SAM's are much more deadly because they are integrated in a network of EWR and many other systems. They are not as stupid as depicted in the game right now, and won't be giving their location away the whole time by having their radar on. Long range SAM's can be dealt with by ARM's or a high saturation of cruise missiles, among other methods which are not roles of the A-10. Ingame it is rather easy killing short range SA-7's with mavericks, but I would not like to be flying a A-10 through a field of SA-7's in real life without other aircraft to support.

ASUS Rampage V Extreme 3.1 UEFI BIOS USB settings

I might be one of the weird guys that does actually pull out his flight peripherals (I was going to say joystick, but that got weirdly sexual) when I'm done. Stick, throttle and pedals are in a USB hub connected to a front USB port in my case, so it's easy. I do keep my trackir connected though. -
It was pushed back to probably somewhere q1 2017

256 is enough if your tight with cash. I have DCS 1.5.5 and 2.0.4 and all (except f-5) modules installed + windows on my 256GB and have room to spare. My combined DCS folders are around 120GB right now.

Yes, cause that is how the mirage 2000 works. It's all regulated by computers.

Moon shot missle 1.5.5

No way that a missile fired at 8k straight up will reach 80k altitude (72k climb). Even if there would be zero air resistance there is still gravity... And to me it sounds like the rocketmotor did not stop burning till 80k since it was still accelerating. There is no way the rocketmoter of a R-27ER will burn that long -
Even though I rarely play singleplayer, so I almost never have to deal with the radio menu, it makes a lot of sense to have it included. +1

16GB of RAM will be enough for DCS and most other applications. I have upgraded my RAM from 8 to 16 about half a year ago. But honestly, it also ran well on just 8, both 2.0 and 1.5 with everything on high and in multiplayer servers. Some people do have some real issues with 8GB though, but 16 is enough and you can always add 16 more if you really need it.
-
Faster ram is sometimes a good thing when you are working with virtual machines for example, but for most cases, more is always better.

I think you will have to login ingame again since it simply remembers your email and password. But that should only be once and your good again.

Super 530F was only used on a few early m2000c's with a different radar if I remember correctly. Python 4 is used in combination with a helmet mounted sight, which the F-15 we have does not have. R-77-1 is probably to modern to get any reliable information on, since Russia is really tight with weapon capability information. AIM-7F and AIM-9L would be nice.

Bombs still fall way to short for me in 1.5.5 and way to long in 2.0.4.

What the Huge Bug on the DCS 1.5.5?

1 more thing, could you please not type in capslock. It is really annoying to read. -
First contact with Mig-21bis, Ramp Start Procedure. Bad joke?

Check out chuck's guide. He makes guides for every aircraft. A "light" manual: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B-uSpZROuEd3d0NuYzJfbWFnblU/view -
There is a difference between adding stuff that was never on the aircraft and approximating (with help of official documents and professionals) the workings of things that are actually on the aircraft. If you can't see that difference then I don't know what to say.
-
And lets also have it fire nuclear cruise missiles. I mean, I get that some people don't care for that much realism and you are free to play it any way you like, but I rather have the developers working on actual bugs and new aircraft then adding stuff which has no place with the real aircraft. There are loads of arcade flying games out there which are better suited for that.

The texture on those dishes have no extra impact on performance compared to dishes that would not have the writing on it. Same with the trashcans. It is just a texture file and if it is a metal texture or trash texture, it does not impact performance. What will impact performance is the resolution (which is quite low as we can see) and the amount of polygons. If you give those dishes a rounder look, they will eat more gpu power, because rounder means more poly's. I think they do optimize well in general and some details that look unnecessary might just bring that bit of life to the picture that it needs. When you take it all away it might suddenly look very bland.
