  1. I was wondering why I couldn't get a hit with those 530. Getting whacked by Mig21 in PvP... Getting obliterated by Mig23 in the PvE Air Missiles vanilla mission...

  4. Most engine problems I encountered were because : 1# many times forgetting to set the prop pitch on automatic after TO. (I don't know yet how to manage it manually) 2# few times engine overheating (coolant before oil) and forgetting to open the radiator on full open 3# last but not the least, going full throttle and forgetting to turn the water/ methanol on ! (two switches : one on circuit breaker and the actual MW-50 switch)

  6. Hi, Bf 109-K4 is in beta stage of development. It means that some of functionality are still missing and some tweaks have to made to call it a 1.00 release. It will go out of beta when it is ready to do so. If you buy it now you'll fly the beta version that will eventually get updated and go out of beta stage when the time comes.

Trying to land the bird with an unlock tailwheel :) You Sir are looking for troubles ? here is a nice short excerpt from an actual BF 109 pilot about landing : https://youtu.be/IbeRn1rgoIo?t=12m00s The safe method relies on 3 points landing. The (locked) tailwheel being the angular stone of the whole operation. I, on the other hand, think that the rudders have still some great control effectiveness on touch down at around 180 / 170 Km/h in addition you have to use your ailerons to match the correct attitude at the start of the landing roll. Using break might work but it is not IMO how it should be done.
  8. Dora easiest to T/O IMHO. Add a good deal of power ASAP while pulling back on the stick (to block the tail wheel) wait a few seconds, when you reach a decent speed set the command/elevators to neutral now wait for the tail to lift.. pull gently and you are all set.

  10. Ok my bad, after going to the option menu for a last check, I saw that the visibility option was left blank after the removal of the mods. now it's all good thanks all for trying to help :D
  11. yes few times, but the repair does not detect any file corruption, it runs for a very brief moment and then stop as if there is nothing to repair. The mod I had were cosmetics. Now I don't have ground texture anymore only water.

  13. I think I have broken my DCS install, I tried to do some repairs but it doesn't do anything, I also removed all my mods with JSGME. Any suggestion beside uninstalling and re-installing everything ?

  15. Since the last update my wings have disappeared : I have water instead :( it does this with all aircrafts

  17. yeah :) I don't want to sound sarcastic here but lights are usually used for night time... :D I think it's a kind of close range IFF, you have multiple settings allowing you to recognize friendlies.
  18. I think what he means is the fact that the virtual pilot compensate during the turn, but in the video we don't see neither the stick nor the player inputs so it's hard to tell.

I have made multiple tests with the machine guns only (against 1 P51D) i takes quite a lot of those to take it down. on the other hand with both canon and machine gun sometimes one good hit and the tail wears off. So I am mixed about that... Sometimes it takes just few hit in a single pass, there lots of vids in the "best replay page" look at 9./JG27 DavidRed's one that go in this way. sometimes it takes the whole load to take down a plane... Also the range is quite short as well, but it might be realistic. the thing for me is to have have several triggers for all the weapon that is annoying, but that's for another thread...

  21. I always fly with +2 (Nose Down) in cruising flight (2000 to 2400 rpm) . and I have little to do to keep the attitude level. I have read that it's a tail heavy plane. So it might be normal
