here's what the spitfire going to look like :D https://www.haraldjoergens.com/panoramas/spitfire-td314/files/

Hi, the mig-15 is really great to fly. by seeing all the new servers dedicated to mig vs saber I am sure is going to be really easy and fun to dogfight.
-
Hi, addendum : When using OCULUS RIFT ! am I the only one to find the canopy's reflections inconvenient when being engage into dogfight. Some other aircrafts have dirty canopies which makes the things even worst, the mig15's one are clean, that's a good thing. But still the interior reflections are IMO not of the greatest effect and tend to make tracks of targets a notch more difficult.

I got stifled just because of my own idiosyncrasies : by trying and turning every knobs around.... Hence there is probably no bugs at all... :pilotfly:

Ah ok my bad :) you are absolutely right. I was shutting the air valve :D
-
As I see it, there are 3 valves on the left hand side. 1. that read Air valve 2. that read Oxygen Valve ------------------------ 3. and also one that read Emergency O2 Valve (Which is not part of this issue as I mention earlier only valve 1 and 2 are being turned on) ----------------------- Prior of turning any valves : The blinker indicator ( situated front panel left) is off. The Oxygen gauge (situated left of the blinker gauge) show 0 % If you turn the O2 Valve the blinker stays off, but O2 gauge shows the remaining of O2 supplies. While the O2 valve is on, if you turn the air valve the blinker starts blinking, that gives the impression that your are good to go, since air blinkers are visual indications air is being correctly routed to the pilot .

create a shortcut with the updater and add repair at the end. your DCS directory "[...]\DCS World\DCS World\bin\DCS_updater.exe" repair Run it and you are set. Alternatively go to your windows startup menu / all programs / Eagle Dynamics / DCS World / repair DCS WORLD

I encounter one major bug whilst practicing the Mig15. And it concern the oxygen reserve. Prior to takeoff I open the air valve and the oxygen valve, I see the blinker confirming that I have correct air supplies. 1. the oxygen gauge goes down really quickly 10 minutes max. after that you pass out of hypoxia. 2. even on the ground with the canopy opened I suffocate when the O2 reserves reach the bottom.

I wish I had seen that prior to close the deal... when I get new gear, I am in no condition to read any statements whatsoever.

DRM I had a problem once with the DCS DRM, I sold my processor to upgrade it by something worthier, had I not launched the game that a messages popped to announce that my system was not recognized... ED support at some point did solve it. DRM for me is just an annoyance that get in the way of the one who buy games or pay for stuffs. when you buy a DVD you get 5 FBI warnings prior to the movie if you DL it you have the starting generic... The FBI should share illegal movies and add their warnings on those, would be more effective ! No DRM protection is safe.

that's the current thread and the one in which I did just post my comment :smilewink:

in game messages unreadable Hello, I am trying to figure out how to make the in game messages readable. (All the messages that pops in the campaign for instance) I want to remove the transparent background and make it plain and augment the font size. Any idea where I could find the right LUA file to apply those changes in all aircrafts ? Regards K.

Make sure your Prop pitch axis is not bind to anything. It is better to use a two way switch for this one, I use the TM HOTAS chinahat.
-
I think the labels of those controls are mixed up in the options. when you bind the controls to your HOTAS the actions are reversed : Radiators Mode Selector ==>"Zu" (Closed) Left - ==> right now it is OPEN ==>"Auf" (Open) Right ==> right now it is CLOSED

The 109 really want to get into the air, even if the right speed hasn't been reached, to compensate I trim a bit nose heavy, also it is better for normal TO not to use any flaps, which make the plane tail heavy. Also it's good to apply small amount of right rudder, plus stick center right. Also prior to TO I set the blade's pitch to 12 o'Clock (29°), then once airborne, I set the pitch back to automatic. All the trick is to wait t'ill you get sufficient speed and whilst on the ground playing with your rudder (not breaks) to keep inline with the RWY.
-
In the special menu in the options, I had set the TO assistance to 0 as it is for my other planes configuration. Maybe it will make the things easier.
-
I think it would be great to have the option to remove the flare gun since it covers some important gauges and instruments and takes a large amount of space.

With the oculus DK2 on my head I am trying to get rid of the keyboard as much as possible. But if you can fly with just the keyboard and are ready to put you hands int he dirt to keep up with your idiosyncrasy maybe you might want to consider using this kind of tools : http://www.autohotkey.com/

amazing thanks for sharing !

Posting a bashing post after a frustrating day isn't going to make you succeed. You probably need some advises.

Thanks that's a great info :) that's also really good, I was always wondering I usually stayed between 2000 to 3000 (2500 being cruising speed)
