I'm one of the others. Had the same problem and even manually setting it didn't work. The author kindly tried to explain in a lengthy post why it didn't work or should work now with .35 and what the logic behind it was. But i still don't understand the technical backgroud and reasoning and why manually setting it would still fail. Another user gave the hint with the dcs_variant.txt file. I created it in the DCS main folder and entered "openbeta". And renamed the "Saved Games\DCS" to "DCS.openbeta" (Suffix = Text entered in dcs_variant.txt). Now Autodetection with .35 works.

I opted out of PTC because of that. And many reports about bricked controllers in v55 PTC. Plus the annoyingly high update Frequency in PTC - always combined with lengthy controller updates. I suggest staying in stable. The rollout interval is about 4 weeks. So once a Version becomes stable you might get it on day 1 or after 4 weeks. I don't care because most changes are for standalone usage and don't bring features that are considered to improve my cable link scenario.

I have just been testing .35 and got same result like with .34. Manually selecting the save games path also doesn't work. Wouldn't it be a solution to give the manually selected path a higher priority? Or does this have other drawbacks i don't see? So i will try to rename and / or create a variants file with openbeta entry when i have time. And check all third party tools still work after changing the path (scripts). Edit: Renamed Save Games DCS to DCS.openbeta and created a dcs_variant.txt in DCS Main Folder with Text: openbeta Everything is fine now. Thanks all. ED Updater Utility v2.log

It is a Openbeta version. Converted from stable some years ago. No dcs_variant.txt in the DCS Folder. (Manually selecting the Saved Games - DCS folder also doesn‘t work.)

`wpr -start %ProgramFiles%\OpenXR-Quad-Views-Foveated\Tracing.wprp -filemode` replace %ProgramFiles% with the complete path and add " " before and after the path: "C:\Program Files\OpenXR-Quad-Views-Foveated\Tracing.wprp" otherwise i also got the error you describe.

With the new Version 2.0.0.34 i can't select my Presets. Seems like it doesn't find / like my saved games folder any more. "SG Path: Not Configured" doesn't change when i select it. Back to V2.0.0.33 it works again.

Getting 100% crashes on Quest Pro when OXR toolkit is disabled and Turbo is on in Quad Views when removing the headset. Also without Quad Views (uninstalled) and only OXR Toolkit enabled and OXR Turbo on and removing the headset. Sometimes when switching from F10 to Cockpit with either Turbo.

Change the option in the screenshot to set to Oculus. Performance is worse on my system with oculus api.

Just tried myself and yes. Oculus API works with MT. Also task manager shows bin-mt dcs.exe running. Nice find.

Interesting. MT should only support OpenXR currently. Will be able to test later. Are you sure it's the dcs.exe from bin-mt? I think it can be verified with task manager - right click dcs.exe - open file location. How do you know it's using Oculus API? Maybe the last patch changed something...

I'm tempted to buy it. Does it work with that other F-16 Simulation - when using Simshaker Wings and not "... Aviator" software?

I really hope you are wrong. But i also fear this is the new normal now because no news and no hotfix after more than a week. The patch that introduced this was quite small with only a few fixes. Can't imagine it takes so long to figure out what went wrong.

is it when a/g ground radar is active or mapping? Saw the same when a/g radar mapping got refreshed.

I have the same problem. Since the last openbeta update and F-15E install it takes 3 - 4 times longer to start DCS (MT) for me. Mission loading times are not affected, but from desktop to main menu takes ages. @Tepnox do you have the F-15E by any chance? Just trying to find a starting point.

Not sure i'm missing something, but my version (from 14.06.2023) already has bookmarks in ToC?! And not only there. Isn't this the case in the release version? (not at home atm)
