Here's some information on the DSD Chassis soon to be released. It looks like August is when we'll open orders. Pricing for the first round will be 359 USD, which includes shipping in the lower 48 US. Canada shipments will be somewhat higher. If the demand is there for international customers, we will be looking for some distributors to facilitate ownership. What is needed is that the labels need to scale in size and grow larger as the objects are closer to the operator.

Here's a new possibility from DSD: The idea is that you get a ready-to-assemble chassis shipped to your door which is good for sim racing, flight simming...or, if you're like me...and a lot of fans...both sim racing and flight simming. Here's one doing both: It accommodates Logitech, Fanatec and TM wheels and pedals as well as CH and TM sticks...the reason for the abundant holes. It's also uber adjustable. You get the seat from Summit Racing for about 160 bucks here: https://www.summitracing.com/parts/sum-g1130l You can use the Jegs Scat seat for about 150, too, but you need rails for that. Labels should be tiny when the object is far away and grow in size as you get closer to them. It's a good idea, but it never seems to happen.

I just updated. Here's my 2 cents: 1 - Defered shading = yes. It's much better than HDR; 2 - My PD = 1.4. I brought it down from 1.6; 3 - Water = rubbish unless you turn it to HIGH; 4 - AA = OFF. Frames go south otherwise 5 - Cockpit Shadows = LOW, FLAT for scenery; 6 - Trees = really nice, but popup tress suck so I turned them to "0"; 7 - Cockpit Lighting = ON I get 45FPS over Batumi on free flying in the F5. I'm guessing it would be a slide show if it were combat and the area was filled with other objects. All my settings and binding were retained during the update, which was nice. My thoughts are that unless you run a Quantum computer, expect the same thing flight sim fans have experienced over 30 years and that's never enough hardware muscle to turn everything all the way to max :music_whistling:

You can't get 60fps and be using VR. You get 90 or 45. If they've made it worse in VR for this update, I'll pass.

Hello: I am trying to make ILS landings. My VOR is tuned properly, but I cannot get the glide slope bar to show on the ADI properly. It just stays in the middle and doesn't move like it should - or at least I think it should. I have tried pressing GS or Extended GS on the flight director, but it doesn't look right to me. If anyone can help me set these instruments to show localizer and GS bars on the ADI like they should, I'd appreciate it. Thank you! :pilotfly:

^ This ^ What you set in the video resolution settings is irrelevant. VR resolution is controlled by the VR device. Changing the PD will only 'improve' what you see on your VR HMD. I run DCS at 1.5 and see decent performance.

Does this mean that it will be possible to import desktop windows into a VR session? I'm not entirely clear about that.

I never really was really gone :) So I hopped into the F5 and thanks to Knock-Knock's comment, I was able to enable the pilot's body. Unfortunately, the poor bastard's head is halfway down his torso. I have my default eyepoint set so I can see the gunsight, but when activating the pilot, the head is too low. Moving the head to where it should be results in being way too high up. :/

It seems I have more planes to get flying to know more :)

Greetings! I've been away from DCS for a bit and was wondering if the pilot's body is enabled yet. While I have mixed feelings about it - certain parts of him or her could get in the way of seeing things on the panels - but it might be an immersion boost to be able to turn on or off the pilot's body. I've found that having a virtual body in games like iRacing and Elite Dangerous make it a much better gaming experience. I personally don't like not having on in VR...or RR (Real Rality)! Anyone know the status? d :pilotfly:

Readjust your seat position and then save the new position as default. It's a simple fix.
